A gorgeous secluded yurt high in the beautiful Berwyn mountains in North Wales.
Ty Crwn Bach Idris is a very comfortable yurt with spectacular views which can easily accommodate four people. It has a double bed and a double sofa bed. It is beautifully furnished with lovely linens, wall hangings, rugs and fairy lights creating a warm and magical space.
The log cabin near the yurt contains a full kitchen (including gas cooker, electric fridge, toaster, sink with hot and cold water), dining area and shower room with power shower, flushing toilet and sink. If you'd like to experience real eco living then a compost loo can be made available along with an outdoor cooking area and shower cubicle. The log cabin facilities are occasionally used by us and guests staying in our larger yurt about 30m away but screened by trees/bushes and with its own seating area, fire pit etc. The other yurt accommodates six more guests, and is available if you would like to have a larger group come to stay. Exclusive use of the cabin facilities (or the whole site) is possible if you want total privacy. There would be extra costs associated with arranging this.
There is a wood burning stove which heats up the space very quickly and is perfect for boiling the kettle for a warming cuppa or making a pan of tasty soup/stew. All pots/pans, crockery and cutlery, mugs and glasses are provided. We simply ask that you wash them before you leave.
The yurt is light and airy with a clear round glass opening window in the roof and a south facing stable door to help keep things cool on sunny days and hot summer nights. The floor and walls are insulated so it's toasty even in the coldest of winters.
The covered deck outside the yurt provides somewhere sheltered to sit and enjoy the BBQ or the fire pit, although there are grassy areas to use if you would prefer.
In keeping with the ethos of our home, we have tried to use reclaimed/recycled/up cycled materials wherever possible.
There is also a BBQ and a fire pit. So some wood from the forest and light a are glamping after all!!!
There are standard electrical sockets in the yurt and low energy lighting there and in the bathroom/kitchen which all run off renewable energy sources. So by staying in Ty Crwn Bach Idris you will be doing your bit to reduce pollution and carbon emissions.
If you need assistance with anything just ask. We are here to help and glad to do so. :-)

Fun and friendly eco glamping
We’ve just had a lovely weekend in the small Yurt with our two dogs. The weather was chilli but that didn’t matter as the welcome was warm and the Yurt was snug and toasty. Our hilights were sitting in the hammock seats admiring the view, toasting tea cakes for breakfast in the woodburner, sitting around the campfire watching the moon rise in the evening, the visits from the friendly chickens, and the beautiful l walks straight out of the property. We would definitely recommend and are planning our return.
The weather was not at its best but it was just so peacefull; plenty of fresh air, amaizing views, sounds of nature and lovely owners who left us to ourselves unless needed. Very comfortable, never felt so at ease.
Just what we both needed!!
The trip was everything we asked for - a getaway from everything, with beautiful views and awesome walks. Nathan and Shayne were so nice and welcoming and the yurt was amazing! The hammocks outside were a nice touch and the pit fire was a really nice way to end evenings. Would definitely recommend and definitely want to return!
Brilliant! Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Lovely to meet such polite and respectful young men. Look forward to seeing you again soon. Hopefully we won't all be melting next time!! :-)
fantastic place to stay. The owner Nathan was really friendly and generous.
The yurt had everything you need if your a person who doesn't need much. Fantastic walks and views of the country side. Weather was terrible but still had an amazing break as a couple.
There's hammocks to sit and enjoy nature in, felt really good to get back to grass roots living. But still relatively comfortable. Fire heats up the place really quickly, 20 mins or so. cheers Nath
A slice of heaven
November: rain: 80mph wind: a good time had?!
Absolutely! This place is amazing, it's tranquil, warm and cosy, everything you could want and need, even in the middle of winter!
Will definately return next summer and enjoy the BBQ and further walks...

Really pleased that you all enjoyed yourselves. Thanks for leaving everything so tidy. You are welcome back any time with Mr B!! See you in the summer when there lots of sunshine, a gentle breeze (rather than a howling gale!!) and time to chill with you around the bug fire pit. All the best. Shayne and Nathan
The yurt is an amazing place to stay if you are looking for a back to nature getaway. We stayed two nights and the peace and calm we experienced was exactly what we were looking for as we live in a busy city. The views from the yurt are wonderful and the rain only added to it. When the sun did come out the patio gets it all day and there is a wonderful sunset to look forward to.
The yurt was clean and ready for our arrival. It's very cosy and comfy. Everything you need for your stay is available and the family are friendly and helpful #thanks for the eggs.
One of the best short breaks we have had in ages. Planning a return visit, will rrecommend to friends and family.
