very private and picturesqe vacation home.

  • 4 of 5

A lovely , quaint little vacation home, very clean, and for those wondering, a very comfortable bed. There is no oven sadly, so expect to cook outdoors a lot, which is a problem if it rains, but we figured it out! Also there is no coffee maker, which was quite a problem for us! The induction stovetop was a bit of a challenge as well, but overall would recommend this ..Also a radio or music channel would have been nice. We borrowed a radio from an amazing Taxi driver named Fernando, and I had my guitar which I played a lot. This is a very secluded spot so a car is essential, we rented bikes which we used a lot, there are no restaurants really close, but the marina provides excellent hospitality and great snacks as well as beverages, they are also very helpful if you need anything at all. Marco and Maraina at the café were also amazingly friendly and helpful.

Kleines, gemütliches, sehr ruhig gelegenes Häuschen mit Meerblick inmitten wunderschöner Natur

  • 5 of 5

Very nice, clean and quiet little house

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for four nights in this house. The house was clean, we were kindly received by a friend of the owner. The kitchen was well equiped, we felt very free in the house, sleept well and the bathroom was good. Outside there is a wonderful view of the ocean and São Jorge. When we were there we could enjoy the scent of the vigues and the flowers in the street. There were also wild coffeetrees, with fullgrown beans.

We never travell by car and fortunately at 200 meter up the road there was a busstop of which we have gratefully made use several times. The house is situated in the most beautiful part of the island. However take care to provide with groceries if you can, because in Santo Amaro there is no shop. Down the street there is a nice swimming place, also in the village. There is a good fish restaurant en several bars with good red wine.
