Description of bedroom suite: Bedroom with bathroom on the ground (Canal) floor, with two double windows directly onto the Grand Canal; the wavelets lap six feet beneath the windows! Outside the very private, locked bedroom suite there is a foyer area where guests may sit and even leave luggage--next to which a Canal door opens onto a dock on the Grand Canal. At the back, a garden/courtyard and a large entrance hallway are at the disposal of guests. Please note that when owners or their friends are staying in the separate upstairs apartment (they are not always there), they will use the foyer for access to the dock and boat, and the back garden/courtyard as well. Television, wireless internet, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle are available. There is no kitchen however or real kitchen facilities.
Description of site: the apartment is located in a Palazzo in the most exclusive area of Venice in San Marco, and faces onto the Grand Canal. A very popular family cafe-restaurant is one minute from the front gate of the Palazzo where an excellent breakfast as well as the other meals are available. While it is very practical for all communications, located two minutes between two Vaporetto stops (Sant'Angelo and San Samuele) and one minute from a traghetto stop (to cross the Canal), within three minutes to the elegant San Stefano square and ten minutes walk to the Rialto, it is well out of the tourist flow and very quiet and peaceful.

I spend not just 'vacations' here but throughout the year. Venice is one of the few cities which can really be called 'unique'; beauty walks with you throughout the city. Peace, beauty, delight.
From our windows I watch Venice sail down the Grand Canal; I can hop over to almost any part of the town by boat when I so wish, as well as get out to the delightful little islands which pepper the laguna. Peaceful in the midst of a much-visited place, because our house is out of the tourist paths but in the center of everything at the same time!
My Daughter and I just stayed at this wonderful spot on the grand canal. Karen and Alain were wonderful hosts but the best part was the location. We would grab a bite to eat every morning and sit in the quiet square as it came to life. In the evening we enjoyed our light meal with wine on the dock seats watching the traffic go by. People must have thought we were famous, so many pictures were taken of us!

I stayed here on recommendation from my dad, who stayed here during his trip to Venice, so I knew it would be excellent. Getting around anywhere in Venice, especially if it is your first time here can be daunting but the hosts provide excellent communication and help. Their instructions, map and very helpful suggestions made my stay much more enjoyable. Being right on the grand canal and having your own private little dock is an amazing experience. I must say it is a great place to enjoy some cheese and wine. Sitting in bed at night, with the window open and the grand canal just feet away is something I will always remember. While one side is on the grand canal, the back entrance allows very quick walking access to some of the nicest areas of Venice. I have to imagine this rental fills up fast so I suggest you book it if available. I would definitely stay here again.
Everything is so perfect. thank you for your emails -- truly everything is so nice. We don't;t need heater or mosquito machine or any special concerns. Venice is amazing and Dioni and his wife have been super responsive and nice. I love being surrounded by water. As a lifelong surfer I am absolutely enchanted by Venice and your studio on the Grand Canal. If you are concerned with our satisfaction then please know we are beyond satisfied. Many thanks _ Eric
We stayed here for two nights and found the location to be amazing. You can walk anywhere but escape from the hectic and busy city from the private deck. We carried in delicious pastries, pizza, etc., from just steps away. Venice is a city like no other. Our weather was ideal. Therein lies the rub: We slept with the windows open. I woke up our day of departure with mosquito bites. Either wear repellent or resist the temptation to open the windows, or you'll be sorry. But that's Venice.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who are delightful and who aim to please.
It's a small room but we were there just to sleep and spent as much time on our deck as in the city. Location, location, location!
This property is situated on the Grand Canal. Good location but the room has a very small and has a very noticeable moldy/musty odour.
It was a last minute booking as our travel plans had changed and we were only going to be able to visit Venice for a one night stay. The owner graciously accepted our request to book for only one night and provided us with valuable information to get to the Suite. The dock right outside the room was perfect. We wish we could have spent more time out there. The owner had someone meet us and take our luggage to the room for us and show us in. The location of the suite is exactly what we wanted. We don't like to be around all the normal tourism but instead like to venture on our own. The location was quiet and calm - absolutely wonderful. The bed is comfortable, there was a small fridge and coffee maker in the room - Looks just as shown in the pictures. The only thing we lacked was an ironing board but it was fine. We did not like the coffee in the room but the champagne the owner left us was great. The owner provided numbers for water taxi companies which was great because on the day we were leaving we scheduled for one to pick us up and it worked out perfect. If we return we will definitely seek this property. We enjoyed our time in Venice and the suite allowed us to feel like a local. Thank you.
The bedroom suite--it consists of a bedroom + bathroom-- view from 2 large windows and through two large glass doors, is the dock in the front of the suite which is on the Grand Canal; this is a highly valued feature on the Grand Canal, perfect for having an evening cocktail or water taxi pick-up! The dock is of course exclusive to our property!
