The accommodation consists of living room, kitchen / dining room, three bedrooms one en-suite and a bathroom. The gite is set up to cater for up to six adults and two children sharing with their parents, one double bedroom with en-suit and two bedrooms with a double and single bed. Large secluded garden and BBQ area, overlooking a wooded valley to rear. La Grue is a charming 19th century farmhouse with original beams and exposed stone work, beautifully renovated into a 3-bedroomed luxury self-contained Gîte.The Gite is available for holiday rentals thought the year (minimum 2 night stay at off peak time ). Gite offers UK TV package, free WiFi and a free welcome pack, owners are on site for any questions / problems. Well behaved dogs welcome local vet available for return journey. The gite is set up to cater for up to six adults and two children sharing with their parents, one double bedroom with en-suit and two bedrooms with a double and single bed. We can provide a cot for baby if required. A private entrance with parking leads to the large lounge and kitchen/ dinner, bathroom upstairs and large garden to rear. Behind the gite there is a large secluded garden and BBQ area, overlooking a wooded valley and in the distance Rochechouart. The views over the surrounding countryside from the rear of the gite are fabulous all seasons of the year, with the rolling hills, fields, and woodland.We are located in the heart of 'Le Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin', and are ideally situated to explore the varied and beautiful attractions of the Haute-Vienne, Dordogne and Charente departments. If you enjoy outdoor pursuits then you can fish, swim, cycle or meander around the beautiful lakes in the area. Golf is also available at 3 Golf courses nearby and there are many more attractions situated locally. We are only 6 km from the pretty market town of St Mathieu, which provides full amenities including a petrol station, banks and a supermarket and the market town of Rochechouart is also close by which has a beautiful château and several bars, restaurants and shops

Excellent accueil de M Ron Soutar. Gîte très agréable et calme.

Nous étions à la Grue pour le mariage de notre fils à St Mathieu. Ce gîte était tout près. Pour 8 personnes il y a suffisamment de place et le pré est bien pour permettre aux enfants de jouer. Pour nous Français il ne manquait qu'une cafetière électrique ! Les 2 salles de bain sont parfaites. En résumé : notre impression a été vraiment favorable.
