3 bedroom farmhouse at the end of a private road, peace and stunning views
Casalone is a stunning 16th Century restored stone wall farmhouse in the heart of Chianti, 5 minutes drive from the town of Greve-in-Chianti, and 30 minutes from the city of Florence. It is situated just a few kms from the three medieval hamlets of Badia a Passignano, Montefioralle and Panzano in Chianti.
The stunning property is located at the end of a private road that has no through traffic.
Situated on top of a hill in it's own 4.5 hectares of olive groves and vineyards, the property faces south with uninterrupted views over the beautiful rolling Tuscan hills barely changed since medieval times.
The same views can be enjoyed from the private infinity pool set in an immaculate garden, the perfect place to be in the Tuscan summer heat!
The house sleeps 6-8 people and with lots of indoor and outdoor space, it is the perfect place for family and friends, for celebration or relaxation.
Some of the fresh produce to be found growing there include olives, grapes, pears, apples, cherries, walnuts, almonds, figs and peach. If it's in season, help yourself!

BEAUTIFUL VILLA IN CHANTI
What a wonderful stay at Villa Casalone. Our party of 4 relaxed and unwound at this truly special property nestled in the hillside. The grounds were lush and beautifully landscaped blending seamlessly with the breath taking hills beyond. Sunrise and sunsets are not to be missed from this spectacular property. The house was cozy and well stocked with all the basics. We dined-in every night and took full advantage of the wonderful kitchen and rustic pizza oven. Our hostess Ester was an absolute pleasure and guided us to the somewhat remote property with confidence. We also relied on Ester for a special evening of culinary adventure which included a meticulously prepared 5 course dinner at the villa that was out of this world. Thank you Ester and Barclay for a truly memorable visit and we look forward to our next visit.
Very romantic and private spot with unforgettable view.
Fantastic. We stayed a week in october with 2 kids and 4 adults. After a very warm welcome by Ester, the dedicated hosetess, we had a unforgettable stay in Casalone. The view from the terrace is simply beautiful and impressive: surrounded by olive trees you look over the green Tuscany hills. The house is spacious and we had everything we needed. We were very lucky with the weather, and so we were able to use the pool every day and so we did!! And it were not only the children who loved the table tennis.

Heaven on Earth
We rented this farmhouse for a week in late September. We loved every minute we were there. The property is beautiful - situated among olive groves, rows of cypress and fig trees. Quiet. Magical. Life-changing. The house itself has everything one could need - and more - and we found ourselves cooking many meals there. Dining under the stars. Swimming. Reading. Resting. Strolling. Though, if you prefer, it is only a short drive to many wonderful restaurants as well as other Tuscan highlights i.e. vineyards, cities etc. You will want for nothing. Barclay, the owner, was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with and provides his guests with ample information not only about the home but also the area. The host of Casalone, Ester, is extraordinary. We fell in love! She stocked our kitchen with requested items before we arrived, helped arrange dinner reservations and provided great recommendations for vineyard visits and so on. She also shared her love of Italy - its food, music, wine - and provided the warmest possible welcome one could imagine. I suppose the true measure of a vacation is the degree of sadness felt upon departure. In that regard, the stay at Casalone measured very high indeed as we were greatly saddened to say goodbye. Our deepest thanks to Barclay and Ester. We will hope for another visit soon!!
private, peaceful, great views
We all enjoyed our recent stay at Villa Casalone. 7 of us total stayed (6 adults and 1 child) and we were all quite comfortable. The layout of the property is quite unique with plenty of outdoor space to roam - the wood fired BBQ was well equipped with a enough wood and kindling to last cooking all week. Ester the host showed us all around and was available at any time with questions regarding the property. We will be back!
Perfect Tuscan holiday
It is always the little things that make the difference between a lovely holiday villa and something even more special.
Casalone has special touches in abundance!
From the moment we arrived and were shown around by wonderful Ester we felt at home.
The setting is more beautiful than we could have wished and the carefully designed interior is perfect.
Long evenings sitting on the terrace, lazy days spent peacefully by the pool - the perfect place to share with family and friends.
Greve a short drive down the exciting hillside has lovely restaurants and a good supermarket.
The villa is in an excellent position for touring Chianti if you can drag yourself away from Casalone.
Thank you Barclay and Ester for allowing us to share your Tuscan retreat we had a wonderful holiday.
This is a fantastic villa set in a great location.
A wonderful location with great views. Very peaceful but close to Greve en Chianti for shopping and Florence and Siena for sightseeing. The villa was very well equipped and the pool was quite remarkable. Ester the host was fantastic. Thoroughly recommended.
The Chianti area in Tuscany is one of the most beautiful in the whole region, as well as the most well-known and appreciated by visitors from across the world. Chianti offers a unique landscape, with green, gentle hills covered with wide fields of vineyards and olive groves, small stone villages, characteristic parishes and countryside homes in stone.
