Porta Portese is the famous vintage market of Rome and the apartment is a mix of vintage furniture purchased between its banks and creative recycling.
Consisting of a large living room with balcony, a triple room (can become even quadruple), a double room with en suite bathroom and fully equipped kitchen.
The apartment is centrally located and convenient for visiting the center of Rome, 20 meters away from tram n.8 that in 10 minutes will take you to Piazza Venezia, from there you can reach the Pantheon, Campo de 'Fiori, Piazza Navona and the archaeological area of the Colosseum.
My wife and I and our 3 grown daughters spent a week at this apartment during the holiday season and we were very pleased with the apartment and the location. The apartment was clean and spacious and having 2 bathrooms was a real plus. We found the beds to be good and fairly comfortable. The WiFi worked great. The location was ideal. There was a cafe right across the street with great cappuccino and pastries. Also there was a good market just a block down the street. We took the train from the airport and only had to walk a few blocks from the station to get to the apartment. Getting anywhere in the city was easy with the number 8 tram stop right out front and bus stops just steps further. And we found Denyse to be very accommodating with check in / checkout and payment. I would definitely chose this apartment again the next time I'm in Rome.
Thank you Denyse and Roberto for the wonderful tips you gave us about Rome. This apartment is lovely, clean and very comfortable, the location is perfect you can take the tram that's in front of the building and in 15 minutes it will leave you right in front of are Piazza Venezia, so it's really easy to get around. We really appreciated how the apartment was decorated and all of the small details that made a true difference, between other place we've stayed in. We will definitely will be staying here on our next visit to Rome.
My cousin and I just spent an amazing week in Rome Denyse Roberto and Giorgio were awesome I called Roberto from our taxi to say we would be there in 10 minutes and Denyse was there only 5 minutes after we arrived She could not have been more friendly or helpful The flat was immaculate and she had things there for our breakfast the next morning and water bottles filled in the refrigerator The flat was exactly as advertised For us the best part was having the tram right out front, a delightful coffee shop across the street and a huge grocery store steps away from our place I don't think you could find friendlier or kinder hosts anywhere in Rome Do yourself a favor when you find this apartment in your search and look no farther
We had a great tine in Rome staying at Denyse's brilliant apartment. The place was really spacious and clean, we felt really comfortable there. It's really close to everything in Trastevere which is a great place to hang out, eat and drink. Its also very well connected with the metro to get into Rome city centre. We would definitely recommend this apartment.
Trastevere is one of the most fascinating places in the capital ... where during the day you live the life of the village ... the shops, the old men playing cards ... at night it becomes the meeting place of the Romans, in the many bars and in the endless cocktails!
The Porta Portese market opens its doors every Sunday at 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and the best deals are just the time of opening or closing of the market.
