This property is not well suited for toddlers, or children who can not swim. Because the lakefront shoreline is in it's natural state and is not protected by a fence or barrier, we cannot accept families with toddlers or children who are non swimmers. This is a non smoking, pet free property. Because the owners and family members have allergies, we must insist on strict adherence to our non smoking, no pets policy. The LP Gas Fireplace Stove is great for atmosphere and cool evenings. The open floor plan and hardwood floors, with oriental rugs. make for a comfortable, and cozy living area. The bedrooms are carpeted. The wireless Internet connection is active from June 1 through November 30. Other times are available by request. The TV functions only as a Video Monitor, with a small collection of movies. There is no regular TV reception.

One of the best vacations we have taken!

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Blueberry Cove was one of the best vacations we have taken. Paul and Annie are just wonderful and made us feel right at home from the minute we walked thru the front door. The house was perfect, nicely decorated and everything was provided. It was the perfect base for our daily trips to Acadia National Park. The lake was so beautiful and just a short walk down the path. My husband Tim went fishing in the lake every day and was thrilled with all the bass he caught. The location was very private and it was like having the whole lake to oneself. There were a pair of Eagles, loons and a resident beaver we saw every day. The bird feeders drew many visitors including hummingbirds. We had a wonderful time, no complaints and would return in a minute.

Charming, Secluded, and Tranquil

  • 4 of 5

Property was exactly as described. Met the owners, Annie and Paul, who were quite warm and accommodating. The location was perfect for vegging out and relaxing, but not too far from major attractions. Toddy Pond was tranquil and quite relaxing. The house was charming and equipped with basic essentials. No TV but we 'Netflix'd' the entire week. Wished there was a TV as an added amenity. Overall good relaxing time and would definitely return.

Fantastic getaway

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough good things about Blueberry Cove. Everything was great, from the initial conversation and booking process with Paul and Annie to the pristine condition of the house and many helpful instructions upon arrival! We spent many hours enjoying the beautiful backyard and waterfront dock, canoeing and kayaking, and grilling out. We also used this as our home base for exploring Acadia and the surrounding area and found that it is a perfect location to avoid the crowds and high prices of the Bar Harbor area. This was far more serene and enjoyable, and we are already dreaming of a return trip!

Beautiful Blueberry Cove!

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth vacation trip to Maine and Blueberry Cove is by far the the best place we've stayed. This lovely home with beautiful scenery and privacy made our week perfect!

The home was very clean, the beds comfortable and the owners, Paul and Annie were great to work with. They provided us with lots of information about the area and nearby places to visit. The lovely home was well appointed with everything that we needed readily available. The location was ideal for us. We enjoyed several day trips and found this beautiful, private spot to be close to many fun towns, villages and Acadia.

Toddy Pond is a destination in and of itself with gorgeous, tranquil scenery, a variety of beautiful birds to watch, fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking on the crystal clear lake, and a well maintained road through the woods for quiet walks or bike riding. We loved mornings on the deck or by the private waterfront taking in the tranquillity of the area. Evenings by the water with an occasional fire in the fire pit were another of our favorite activities. We hope to visit Blueberry Cove again!

Wonderful secluded getaway

  • 5 of 5

Not only are the owners wonderful but this property and the views are too! Our family stayed here for the week and only left one day to see Acadia National Park. We just wanted to enjoy al the time we could on this property. We fished, swam, kayaked and played board games as a family. The house itself was very comfortable for the 5 of us and kept very clean. If you are looking for some time in nature and relaxation this is your place! I sure hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

Happy Campers

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous location, very tranquil and not too far from Acadia National Park which was our destination for the week. It is less than an hour drive from the parks many entrances. We are active seniors (two couples) so the canoe available at the property was an added bonus. Toddy Pond is lovely. The biking in Acadia National Park was another highlight of our trip; so much to see and do and not enough time.

For older couples, a queen bed instead of the day bed in the guest bedroom would have been the better choice. Climbing in and out of the upper berth of the day bed was not ideal. Our suggestion would be to relocate the day bed to the front office/den (for children) and upgrading to a queen size bed in the guest bedroom. This would definitely be a plus at this rental property for couples traveling together. Having said that, the owners, Paul & Annie were delightful and pointed us in the right direction upon our arrival. Their home is clean and well maintained with beautiful grounds.

We loved the small communities surrounding Surry and enjoyed the fresh seafood dining, wild Maine blueberries, all of the delightful art and pottery galleries and the incredible beauty this area offered. Our time flew by, we loved every minute of our vacation and we felt grateful for the opportunity to have stayed at this property for the week. It restores the soul.
