The main floor has warm, rich (heated) wood floors running throughout and is beautifully decorated with designer furnishings, window coverings and luxury linens. At the heart of the main floor is a gourmet kitchen equipped with high end appliances, cookware, and dinnerware. It features granite counter tops, a large island with seating for 3, and a dining room table that can accommodate 8 people comfortably. It is a terrific gathering spot for family and friends; and, it is equipped with everything you could need whether you are making breakfast before heading to the slopes, preparing a holiday meal, or entertaining friends!
Just off the kitchen, there is an open living room featuring a sofa, loveseat, and 2 swivel rockers with ottoman. Even a large group can gather together and enjoy the gas fireplace, play one of the many available board games, or relax and watch a movie on the 40” LCD High Definition television/Bose speaker system with DVR, DVD player, and Roku. Best of all, this bright inviting area has floor to ceiling windows and a sliding glass door that opens up onto a private balcony equipped with a gas grill so you can cook out and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Also, conveniently located on the main floor are a powder room and an office area equipped with high-speed wireless cable Internet access in case you wish to stay connected?
On the second floor, you will find a palatial master retreat featuring a wall of windows showcasing the breathtaking Mountain View! This private sanctuary has a king bed, an entertainment armoire complete with a 32” LCD High-Definition TV, DVR and Roku, and a comfortable lounge area perfect for reading your favorite book. The master suite also has a private bathroom equipped with granite countertops, double sinks, walk-in shower, a large bathtub, and a walk-in closet...which provides ample space for your winter wardrobe. Also located on the second floor are two additional guest rooms. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen bedroom suite and has a large bay window. The third bedroom offers two twin beds, a dresser, and a large window. These bedrooms share the second full bathroom on this floor. And, for your convenience, you will also find a laundry area complete with a washer and dryer. That way, you can pack light or dry wet winter clothing! It is from the second floor that you access the ladder to the kid’s favorite room in the house…the sleeping loft! The loft has a full sized bed, a night stand, and a large skylight where you can lay in bed and watch the stars!
This property also provides something unique to many places in Vail… a clean, HEATED; private two-car garage! There is enough room for skis, bikes and other equipment. But, if you would rather not drive, this townhome (just two miles from Vail Village) is located on the free Town of Vail Bus Route (which runs every 15 minutes in the winter or every 30 minutes in the summer.) In the summer, there’s also a gorgeous bike path nearby that runs along Gore Creek into Vail Village.

We are two families, and we love coming in all seasons. We take great pride in our second home. We have outfitted it with all the comforts we expect in a primary residence, and we take delight in making it available to friends, family and to you.
Clinton Baller purchased this condo in 2007
For our second home, we wanted plenty of space (not a cramped ski condo), high-end finishes and a private garage in which to store our toys. This gives us everything we wanted -- and more! It is is a great location, in a quiet section of Vail, within easy reach of the Village. Two miles away, in the Village, a place of this size and quality is FIVE times the price, or more, and you'd never get a heated garage. In a place like Vail, we don't mind walking, or biking, or driving the short distance into town. We LOVE it!
Though we purchased this home in 2007, we've been coming to Vail for years. Here, we have easy access to the ski area and town, to the golf course and the bike path, and to the hiking trails, especially Booth Creek and the trails around Vail Pass. We love taking advantage of the restaurant deals in the off-season, and have made a ritual of coming in the beautiful spring and fall, when tourism is down.
Review entered on FlipKey/TripAdvisor on 8/19/2010: Wonderful -- We stayed in this beautiful home in February. Everything was perfect. The kitchen was magnificent. There was everything there you would need. It had a nice warmth to it. The owner takes great pride in it and leaves no questions unanswered. I would recommend this to all my friends and would absolutely stay there again.
My wife and I stayed here for two months when she gave birth in Vail and had a fantastic time. The townhouse had everything imaginable for a long stay and plenty of rooms for the in laws and other visitors we had. With three full bedrooms and the additional queens sized loft, we had more than enough room and plenty of private space. The bed in the master bedroom is super comfy and peaceful laying I. Bed looking at the mountains, moon, and stars. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and hosting good sized groups. We loved the gas grill and bbq'ed several times a week, rain or shine! The place has great natural light, fantastic views over the golf course toward Vail mountain, and a nice balcony for lounging in the sun. Clinton was a great host and provided everything we wanted, quickly responding to any questions we had. He has lots of toys (bikes, snowshoes, sleds) in the garage which was a nice touch. The location, in the sunny part if near-East Vail is hard to beat, and a pleasant less than ten minute walk to the free public bus. It's also very close to Booth Falls trailhead, which is a must anytime of year (nice having the snowshoes on hand!). Have a great stay!
- The location is great! Very close to the ski resort, restaurants, grocery store and pretty much everything you may need.
- There is plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable.
- The garage was a nice bonus in the ice and snow.
- The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, making it easy for us to prepare meals at home.
- We enjoyed grilling on the deck.
- The house was very warm and cozy downstairs and in the heated garage.
- The couches, beds, and other furnishings are very nice and comfortable.
- Please be aware that the upstairs "loft/bedroom" area can only be accessed by climbing a very narrow 8 foot ladder (this is not shown in the pictures). By ladder, I mean a wooden ladder that is bolted down and leans against the floor of the loft area. The base of the bottom of the ladder is placed directly in front of one of the guest bedrooms. To get into the bedroom below you have to duck under the ladder. We did not permit our small children to climb the ladder and open the gate at the top leading to the loft area.
- The water pressure was very low. Even though there are two showers, we could not shower at the same time.
- The blinds in the living room (on the windows and sliding doors) are in horrible condition, some of them are broken and non functional.
My family just returned from a fabulous week in Vail. While we loved being on the mountain, we also enjoyed being able to come back to such a lovely place in the evening. The town home is really well equipped for making our own dinners, and the crockpot made it extra nice to come back to a ready meal! Since we have four older kids, it was also great to be able to spread out and have a separate bed for everyone. Parking in Vail/Lionshead was easy, even on busy spring break, and we appreciated the reduced fee parking pass. We hope to stay here again next year!
After spending a week at this townhome, we can absolutely recommend this townhome to anyone looking for a home away from home just minutes from the slopes! Fabulous luxe linens, granite counters, custom cabinetry, top grade appliances, flat screen tvs - the quintessential choice if you're looking for a luxurious, yet comfortable living space to return to after a day on the mountain! We have been visiting Vail for many years and this is, bar none, the very best stay and value in Vail!
We stayed a few nights in this beautiful townhome in the outskirts of Vail. The house is very nice and cozy with a large gourmet kitchen and a very nice living room that had comfortable couches. The master bedroom was huge and had its own oversize bathroom and walk-in-closet. The other two bedrooms were also good sized and there was an open loft that we also used. We were six adults and two kids and everyone was very happy here. With two small kids I really appreciated that there was a washer and dryer in the house.
The only thing that was a little bit negative about this house was that it was quite a walk to get to the free shuttle. Still, a few in our group walked to and from the shuttle stop without complaining too much, but when we could we would take the car and use the pay parking in Vail. Overall, this was a great value and we had a great time here. Thanks!
Stayed for a week in July 2008 with son , daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren. The house left nothing to be desired. We loved the master bedroom suite and the other 2 bedrooms were great but a little on the warm side in view of outside temperatures approaching 90.(the master bedroom had air conditioning).
The kitchen had top quality dishware & cookware.
Everything was as advertised in the web site.
A GREAT HOME !
