A real home away from home

Casa la Estrella is a small, comfortable villa, situated on a hill about 1.5 km above the white Andalucian village Sayalonga, situated between the Mediterranean Sea (11 km) and the Sierra Tejeda in Competa (10 km). It is reached via a good partly concreted road and partly dirt road.

La Estrella is ideal for those seeking peace and privacy, but still want to be within walking distance of restaurants and the real Spanish life. Sayalonga has shops, wonderful restaurants and a bank with cash machine.

The house has 2 bedrooms available, both with a double bed, ideal for 2 to 4 people.

The 4000 m2 garden is planted with olives, avocados and fruit trees and is completely fenced in, so the ideal vacation spot for those who would like to bring their pet (s) such as dog (s) and cat on holiday with them.

The pool terrace is very private and offers wonderful views over the valley and our 2000 m high mountain Maroma. And in the evening you can at the sound of the crickets see the little twinkling lights of Benalmadena on the bay of Malaga.

Sayalonga is located 50 km from Malaga Airport and is within an hour and you are in historic Nerja in about half an hour.

The Axarquia offers plenty of variety in scenery and activities and Casa La Estrella is ideal for short and longer rentals, for those of you who enjoy walking or activity holidays, for beach holidays but whereby you can return home again in the evening to the peace and quiet after a day of hustle and bustle.

I live since 2004 very happily at this beautiful spot in Andalucia, just above the white-washed village of Sayalonga, where life is still quite traditional. Due to work, I travel regularly to England, leaving my house available for guests, so to also have a chance to share in the beauty and tranquility of this wonderfully beautiful landscape and culture. My wish is that you feel at home in La Estrella, but with respect for my residence and the things that are in it.

Guests need to be aware that my house is located on well-drivable mountain track, part concrete and part sand. The distance is 1.5 km to my house, about 3 minutes by car and about 15 minutes walk to the village.

Extra price information

Prices include use of electricity and water, but I ask you to use these with consideration. In winter you pay for firewood depending your consumption.
Gas: cooking and hot water is done with the gas bottles.


• Deposit: 25% of your booking. This amount can not be refunded.
• Deposit: € 150. To be paid at the time of the reservation. The deposit will be refunded within 7 days after your departure to your account if no damage or loss has been recorded in the home, of furniture or linen.
• Final Payment: Remaining 75% 4 weeks prior to arrival. The total amount paid by you can now no longer be returned. I advise you strongly to always take out travel and cancellation insurance.

Comments:
• When leaving the villa please remove all rubbish and leave the fridge empty and clean.
• Final cleaning is included in the price.
• Pets allowed on request. 1 dog basket and plenty of rugs and towels are available for your pet.

In all seasons, the rental period can commence on any day of the week.

The rental period commences on the day of arrival from 4 p.m. and ends no later than 10.00 on the day of departure. The above arrival and departure days/times may be flexible though.
