Nestled on the picturesque West Sussex coastline ‘It's A Dog's Life’ chalet is a family owned property located on the Medmerry Park (formerly Sussex Beach) Holiday Village, 7 miles south of the historic cathedral City of Chichester, 2 miles from the beautiful seemingly endless, Blue Flag rated, sandy beach at West Wittering. The area is known locally as ‘God’s pocket’ as it boasts the best weather in England!

Why Jackie Rippon chose West Sussex

We love this area of the South Coast as it boast some great facilities and things to do, it really does cater for all! Everything you need only a short distance away.

Located in a great Holiday Village site, the Chalet is only 2 miles from a brilliant sandy beach and the surrounding countryside is beautiful and peaceful but not too sleepy!

Easy to get to from the A3 or A27. We feel relaxed as soon as we get here and hope you will agree.

What makes this bungalow unique

Beautiful, tranquil location, with private beach access, ideally suited to both families or for quiet get aways and romantic retreats.

The location of the property also boasts great relaxing or adventurous activities such as surfing, rambling, fishing breaks or just spending a few days catching up with a good book.

The holiday site has a swimming pool, country pub and convenience store amongst it's many amenities but retains its quiet, peaceful ambience which is a far cry from a Hi-de-Hi holiday camp.

A Very Convenient Stay for the Goodwood Revival

The accommodation was as represented (although the resort's pool and jacuzzi were locked up, for unknown reasons); the cottage was clean, well-appointed, and everything worked. You'll need a car, however, since you are quite a ways out from the nearest town. I suggest buying groceries in Chichester, since the Co-Op (in the town closest to the resort) is quite small. The beach is literally a five-minute walk from the cottage, although it's a rocky beach (not suitable for bathing) and the water was quite rough -- but a great thing to be able to be so close to the water. Getting into Chichester was perhaps 20 minutes, worst case, which is great. Jackie, the owner, was very responsive; she met us at the gate, and gave us a quick orientation (which was much needed); the materials she provided about the cottage and the area were excellent, and very thorough. Good value for the money.

Wonderful - had everything we could possibly need

We had a superb stay at the bungalow. Everything inside was modern and clean and it had more than enough facilities for our holiday including a washer/dryer. Jackie, the owner, was very friendly and gave us good advice of what to see and do in the area.

The holiday park itself was lovely too. It was peaceful with a great heated outdoor pool which never got crowded, a pub, children's playground, crazy golf and a quiet shingle beach nearby. My kids loved it and I'm very tempted to go back!
