About The Owner

We have had this property in Portsalon since 2004 and have enjoyed many wonderful holidays in Portsalon when our two girls were children.

The Owner purchased this house in 2004

Why The Owner chose County Donegal

Portsalon has a lovely relaxed feel and is not overcrowded. The house is suitable for golfers as Portsalon golf club is a 2 minute drive from the house. It is great for families also as Ballymastocker, a beautiful long beach is a five to ten minute walk from the house.

What makes this house unique

Great views of Lough Swilly

Owner's Response: Hi Annemarie, I am very sorry to hear that the house was not cleaned to our usual high standard. We were let down by our usual cleaner and had a replacement cleaner who evidently did not do a good job. I am sorry you didn't let me know as soon as you arrived as I would have arranged for a thorough clean. Thank you for your feedback so I can ensure this does not happen again.

magnificent views-fantastic scenery

Port Salon is in an area of great natural beauty and 4 HARBOUR HEIGHTS is a really lovely home to stay in and enjoy. Plenty of walks and drives to pass the time appreciating the marvellous coast line.

Nice quite get-a-way in quaint Portsalon

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in early June. Was early in the season so the place was relatively uninhabited. The view from the sun porch overlooking the beach was spectacular. The house is equipped with everything needed and is spacious and comfortable. The drives along the Wild Atlantic Way are beautiful. Would recommend.

great property, close to a lovely beach.

  • 5 of 5

The house was lovely and ideally located close to the beach. There was a nice restaurant and pub next to the beach and next to that a great looking golf course. Located a few min walk away is one of the most stunning beaches you will ever see.

Just going out of Port Salon is a grocery shop and 15 mins away is a Lidl. In the shed is a BBQ, table and chairs and Wet suits for use at the beach

Would def go back.

Escape from the bustle

  • 4 of 5

The house is a gorgeous cottage and the view is even better. All the rooms were a good size. Maybe not the best fit for international visitors as you have to bring your own bath and dish towels but it was well worth stuffing even more stuff into our rental car for a couple of days. Owner was amazing! We were lucky enough that she was able to accommodate and additional day due to a scheduling issue on my part.

Local attractions in Fanad include: The Fanad Lighthouse; The Great Arch; Sarah's Restaurant & The Stores Bar; Portsalon Golf Club and other nearby courses and of course not to forget Ballymastocker Bay, which was voted as the second most beautiful beach in the whole world!!
