It has been recently renovated and offers a comfortable stay in one of the most popular and living area and it is located 50 meters distance from Ponte Vecchio and few meters distance from Santo Spirito square and Pitti palace. The Oltrarno – “Across the Arno” is the artisans' neighborhood, still packed with workshops where craftspeople hand-carve furniture and hand-stitch leather gloves. It began as a working-class neighborhood to catch the overflow from the expanding medieval city on the Arno's opposite bank, but it also became a rather chic area for aristocrats to build palaces on the edge of the countryside. The largest of these, the Pitti Palace, later became the home of the grand dukes and today houses a set of museums second only to the Uffizi. Behind it spreads the landscaped baroque fantasies of the Boboli Gardens, Florence's best park. Masaccio's frescoes in Santa Maria della Carmine here were some of the most influential of the early Renaissance.

The Ponte Vecchio apartment near the Pitti Palace was great for the two of us. While the kitchen and bathroom were very small they were still entirely serviceable. Ilker was a wonderful host, telling us about some local restaurants that were great. He welcomed us to the property with a gift of chocolates and a bottle of Chianti. And he was available to help with taxi reservations and to answer our questions. The location is ideal, literally just a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio.
This apartment was easy to find, and in a great Central location. Very clean and nice and spacious. The beds are super comfy! Overall perfect for our stay as it provided all that we needed such a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, wifi. Also heating as it was a little chilly outside. Great appartment in a beautiful city.
The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos & as described. Ilkor met us outside the apartment, which was small, but clean & within walking distance to everything in Florence. It is surrounded by restaurants & shops, with services like a supermarket, dry cleaner, laundromat (the apartment has a small washer) right across the street or nearby. It also has an elevator, which was important, as my husband & I are older & have some difficulty climbing stairs. We had some questions about where to locate an electronics store & ilkor always answered promptly.
This is a comfortable and clean apartment in a prime location. The owner of the property is very friendly and accommodating. He was helpful with suggesting restaurants and points of interest.
A restaurant I would recommend that is a short walk from the apartment is Osteria Del Cinghiale Bianco, www.cinghialebianco.com.
Ilker was a fantastic host! He met us at the apartment, showed us around, gave us recommendations for some really nice restaurants, gave directions to what where we wanted to go on a map, and even phoned in a taxi for us when we were leaving.
The apartment was clean, affordable, and the location was perfect! Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance from the apartment. If you don't have a lot of luggage like we did, you can probably walk to the apartment from the train station within 15 minutes.
The kitchen was well equipped and we were relieved to have access to a washing machine after having had done so much travelling earlier. It was cozy for 4 people (perfect for two) and space became tight sometimes, but it wasn't really an issue for us as our family is older (ie: no little ones running around)
We would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Ilker!

Superb location 50m from Ponte Vecchio, very good supermarket nearby, local bars and restaurants aplenty. Appartment was a great base for our week long visit to Firenze has good facilities (wifi, lift and airconditioning), well equipped kitchen if you need it. Ilker was a great host, met us outside the appartment - gave us pointers to good local restaurants and the locations of recycling, supermarkets and the locality and was fast to respond to any queries we had. If we're back in Firenze again, or friends and family are thinking of going would definitely recommend without a doubt.
This district is located to the south-east of the River Arno, with the Santo Spirito square and its beautiful church as the centre. The square was originally used by the Augustinian monks to give their sermons, to celebrate festivals and for all kinds of demonstrations. Nowadays it is home to the local market which is held every morning and with additional stalls for natural products and antiques on Sundays. In the summer months it also hosts a number of concerts and shows and is one of the liveliest squares in the district, with a very unique atmosphere of restaurants, different bars and a variety of night life. The square is also home to the Basilica of the same name, the work of Brunelleschi. Nearby is the Palazzo Guadagni (1505) which houses the Florence library on its ground floor. Further areas of interest include the Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens. The Palazzo Pitti is a remarkable renaissance building that was built by the Pitti family to rival the Medici family structure. Its interior is well worth a visit with some beautiful paintings including the works of Raffaello, Tiziano, Correggio, Rubens and Pietro da Cortona. Close at hand visitors can take a stroll through the Boboli gardens that were created as a park for the Pitti Palace, and are one of the greatest examples of Italian-style gardens, considered by many as an open-air museum. It is also an opportunity to visit one of the most surprising and strangest examples of Florentine architecture the Grotta Grande. To the west of the city, the Torquato Tasso square and the Carmine Church, is the famous location of one of the most famous renaissance works of art, the Capilla Brancacci, that was decorated by Masaccio and Masolino. Today the district of Isolotto is one of the greenest areas in Florence. It is a particularly young part of the city, especially in the west where its rural centre later grew into an industrial then a residential area. It boasts more modern architecture than the rest of the city and includes the new Florentine tram that leads directly to the city centre. A number of shopping centres are located in the area that is served by a very good public transport communication to the rest of the city
