3. SENIOR/MILITARY/FIRST RESPONDER/TEACHER DISCOUNTS! If ANYONE in your party fits into one or more of the following categories Linda and Bob will proudly provide you with a 10 PERCENT DISCOUNT off the nightly rate!

-->SENIOR (55+)

-->MILITARY (any branch, any affiliation, presently or in the past)

-->FIRST RESPONDER (Ambulance, Fire Dept., Police Dept., Red Cross, 911 Dispatcher, etc., full or part-time)

-->TEACHER (any grade level, including college, full or part-time)

[We know of no other Vacation Condo owners who honor our brave and hard-working men and women in this way! It may have to do with the fact that we are both seniors ourselves, Bob was in the U. S. Air Force for four years, and we have been teachers at the elementary level (Linda) and college level (Linda and Bob) for, well, let's just say a very long time!!]

4. RETURN GUEST DISCOUNT! We provide a 5 Percent Discount for Returning Guests! This discount may be combined with any other discount you have (e.g., free 7th night, Senior/Military Discount, etc.).

5. "BLACK HOLE" SPECIAL! If you can find a "Black Hole" in the calendar (defined as 3-6 nights with filled reservations on BOTH sides of the nights you want) we will give you a 10 Percent Discount off the rental rate!! But wait, there's more--this discount may be combined with Return Guest, Senior/Military/Teacher/First Responder, etc. Discounts!

6. FREE VISIT: After you have stayed with us six times, your seventh visit is FREE!!! The number of free nights will be the average of the nights you stayed during the first six visits, but not to exceed 7 nights. We ask only that you pay the $75 cleaning fee + 11 Percent tax on the cleaning for a total of $83.25! You may, of course, add nights on either side of your free stay at our regular rates, minus any discounts for which you qualify!

[By the way, this offer is named the “Tony Award,” named after a guest from Athens, Georgia who has been coming down and staying in one of our condos every fall since 2005 to watch the Bulldogs play the Gators in the Jacksonville Gator Bowl. After his 6th visit, we figured he needed an award—thus the Tony Award was born!! The original Tony just reached his 14th visit with us, so we provided him with the first ever DOUBLE TONY AWARD!! “Andrea” from Kentucky has been a repeat guest also and has received her first Tony. We have a couple of other guests who are getting close to their first free visit!]

7. COMPETITOR MATCH: If you can find a comparable vacation rental with equivalent location and features (distance to beach, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, wireless Internet, amenities and supplies, resort environment, etc.) for a lower TOTAL RENTAL OFFER, let us know and we will strive to match or beat the competitive rate!!

We are an Iowa couple (semi-retired educators at Marshalltown Community College) who fell in love with Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach; we know you will too!

You will also love either of our RobLin Landings Vacation Rental Condos:

Our first condo (purchased in 2005) is the one you are presently reviewing, and it is located in the Amelia Landings Resort.

It is nestled in a very secluded, oak-lined, serene setting. Yet, you are less than a ten-minute walk to a public access on beautiful Amelia Island beach! The resort has an Olympic-sized pool, tennis courts, a pond (no fishing or swimming), picnic/barbeque area, and a strict no-pets policy! Be sure to fully explore this site to get the full description, amenities, photos, reviews, etc.

Our second condo (purchased in 2015) is in the Forest Ridge Village. It is also nestled in a secluded, very quiet, serene setting. Yet, you are again less than a ten-minute walk to a public access on beautiful Amelia Island beach! The resort has a large pool, tennis courts, several ponds with fountains, (no fishing or swimming), a picnic/barbeque area, and a children's play area. Forest Ridge does not, in general, prohibit pets, but we do not allow pets in our condo ! A full description with photos, amenities, reviews, calendar of availability, etc. can be found at

So, if this condo doesn't fit your needs, you may wish to check our condominium villa at Forest Ridge Village. Just use or and search for condo #714465!

We are now taking reservations for the entire year in both condos. We love any time of the year on Amelia Island, and so will you, but you do have choices:

-->MAR-JUL months are the most popular, so book early (we recommend at least 6 months in advance) at $125/night!!

-->AUG-OCT months are pleasant, wonderful days on the Island, not too hot, not too cool, and the price drops to $97/night!!

-->NOV-FEB months draw snowbirds (like us!) to the Island, and the price drops to $92/night!!

Our RobLin Landings Vacation Rental condos book quickly because of our great rental history and fabulous deals, but we ALWAYS have openings if you look far enough ahead!

About Robert & Linda Moore Roblin Landings

Welcome to our vacation home!

We live in Marshalltown, Iowa, and we are both retired from the Iowa Valley Community College District in Marshalltown, where Linda was a Library Supervisor and Bob was a Professor of Psychology. We both continue to teach psychology classes part time. We also do a great deal of volunteer work in our community:

--Linda is focusing on kids, our local Orpheum Theater and our annual Jean Seberg Festival.

--Bob serves on the boards of arts and cultural activities, is helping to catalog the Orpheum Stage and Screen and Jean Seberg collection, and is even dabbling a bit in art himself!

--We both love to travel. and in recent years we have been to Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and Belgium, Key West, a Caribbean cruise, Cuba, and Merida, Yucatan!

Linda has two adult sons, one in Mason City, IA, and one in Portland, OR. Bob has three adult daughters, two in Orlando, FL, and one on Daniel Island, SC. We have four wonderful grandsons and a super-duper step-granddaughter (we call her our gift granddaughter!).

When we are not traveling to see kids, we spend a lot of time (and our children's inheritance) on house renovation, both in Marshalltown and on our condo. We also love to travel and have in the past few years been to The Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Key West, and Cuba. We recently cruised in the Bahamas, departing from Cape Canaveral, FL. The young lady in the picture with us is our first exchange student. Priscilla is from The Netherlands and she loved traveling with us to Amelia Island and elsewhere in America!

Robert & Linda Moore Roblin Landings purchased this condo in 2005

Why Robert & Linda Moore Roblin Landings chose Amelia Island

Since we have daughters and grandkids living in the Orlando and Charleston areas, we wanted a place roughly half way between the two locations. Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island is just perfect for us! We winter in the condo and rent it out the remainder of the year.

What makes this condo unique

All the comforts of a (ok, small, 850 SF) home, at rates that will surprise you! Senior and military discounts, return visitor discount, a free one-week stay after six stays with us, and occasional 'surprise specials' such as our amazing '20% Black Hole' or "Last-Minute specials--just ask!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Our trip to Amelia Island was amazing. Our intent was to travel to the upper East coast of Florida and explore this historic area while having a little "beach time" too. Our three nights here was not enough to fully examine all the area has to offer, so we must return!

The condo itself was PERFECT for our needs - cleanliness is very important to me and the condo did not disappoint. The quiet, restful surroundings made us feel "at home" right away. There was plenty of room for our three adults; the kitchen was well stocked, beds/pillows were very comfortable and the washer/dryer helped us prepare for the next leg of our journey further South down the coast. While there are plenty of restaurants nearby, we cooked all of our breakfasts and evening meals at the condo. We maximized our time on Amelia Island for exploring, yet had a couple of hours each day for pool-time reading and early morning walks on the beach as well as an early evening walk on the beach each day. We walked the pathway to the beach the first day, but discovered there was a parking lot right at the beach and utilized it for most of our beach trips. (we are older adults....ha) The screened in porch was perfect for evening gatherings or morning coffee....and of course more reading.

Some things we enjoyed on this trip: Lunch at Brett's Waterway Cafe in Fernandina Beach Harbor, lunch at the Salty Pelican (restaurants only serve locally harvested shrimp and wow, can you tell a difference - it is amazing!), a boat tour on the St. Mary's River with Captain Pajama Dave which included a cruise up one side of Cumberland Island and alongside Fort Clinch (what a hoot he is and absolutely full of historical information). We shopped in the historic downtown, and made driving loops down all the one way streets to see tons of beautiful old historic homes with yards full of gorgeous flowers. And of course the beach - miles of beautiful white sand with easy access.

Thank you Robert and Linda for a very comfortable stay at your home on Amelia Island!

We do encourage individuals, couples, and small families, but since this is a quiet, peaceful resort, we do ask that parents help their children respect the peace and privacy of other guests and owners. Please do not bring pets of any kind. It is against the Amelia Landings Association rules. Service animals must be approved by owner, and there is a $25 additional charge per animal. Smoking is not allowed in the condo, balcony, or stairways. We are on the second floor, so there are steps to climb; no elevator. Barbecuing not allowed on balcony or landings, but there is a barbecue grill and picnic area at the pool for owners and guests to use.

I stayed here in Aug/Sept and reviewed then but it seems to have disappeared. Excellent location, lovely people. The owners are wonderful to deal with, very helpful and nice. The caretaker was attentive and helpful, even brought me a gallon of water so I could have coffee when I arrived.

Quiet location - you feel as though you are further out than you are, but the condo is just around the corner from almost everything. Very private. The condo was fully furnished with everything needed.

Amelia is one of the best places I have visited for a beach vacation. Very relaxed; slower paced and more mature. No spring-break shenanigans or heavy traffic during my stays. YMMV.

The perfect home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place to stay for a week on Amelia Island. The owners have thought of everything, from linens to cookware and everything in between. The screened in balcony is a wonderful place to spend relaxing with morning coffee, listening to the birds (and an owl or two) or for those times the weather doesn't want to cooperate. This condo complex is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Plenty of books, games, puzzles if you're so inclined. They've also provided plenty of information on places to eat, and things to do on and around the island. We will definitely plan on returning here next year if it's available.

Lovely clean Condo.

  • 5 of 5

I really enjoyed my 3 1/2 month stay at the Condo.

It was very clean and everything I needed for a comfortable and easy stay was available to me.

It was very quiet except for the odd owl hoots 2-3 nights and the back screened in porch was perfect for sitting out on in the mornings and the late afternoons.

It was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach and I spent a lot of time walking the beach.

The pool area was always clean and there was always a lounging chair available for relaxing.

I cooked a lot of my meals in the Condo and I had everything I needed for preparing my meals. The Condo is a short drive from grocery stores, department stores and nightly entertainment spots.

I would highly recommend this Condo to anyone looking for a nice vacation stay in Fernandina Beach.

Everything you need for your vacation is here, even beach toys. Great screened in deck, comfortable furniture the queen bed is wonderful. Here is a rarity the pots and pans are in great shape with plenty of utensils. I greatly appreciated the owners attention to their quests comfort. When you go to Amelia Island make this your first choice for accommodations.

Owner's Response: We were so pleased to be able to accommodate Mike’s need for a last-minute, short-term vacation stay. And, he said such nice things about his stay with us! We do work hard to make sure our guests are cared for and treated like we like to be treated when we travel, but it is great to hear such positive comments!! Please check us out for your next trip to northeast Florida! Bob
