In January, 2009 my husband and I ecstatically purchased our unit which we refer to as 'Starfish'. We continually refurbish Starfish- adding a stove, dishwasher, painting it a crisp clean white, purchasing linen curtains, an unusual queen size bed with drawers for storage underneath, a queen size sofa sleeper, a six piece wicker set that is oh so comfortable and remodeled the closets to include additional shelving, and a white armoire next to the sofa for yet more additional storage.
We live in New Orleans and have visited various areas of the Fl Panhandle for the past thirty years. Seacrest Beach has it all and our Starfish is just perfect!
Mike Nixon purchased this condo in 2009
This is the most fabulous location ever. For me it is all about location. The views of the Gulf are excellent. It is within walking distance to many restaurants. The grounds within a mile in both directions are well manicured with palms and brilliant soft green grass. There is a smooth path for walking, jogging and cycling. The architecture of the neighboring communities is inspirational. It has a gigantic pool and jacuzzi. We LOVE it!!
The view of the Gulf, proximity to great restaurants of all price categories, nature walk at Alys Beach, pristine beaches, fishing, cycling, jogging, canoeing in the nearby state park coastal dune lakes, unbelievable shopping opportunities- I cannot overstate that fact, yet the property is located in a very serene location and for a reasonable price.
We enjoyed staying at this place. It was nicely decorated and it was great location for us as we love visiting Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the curtain wasn't thick enough and it was too bright in the morning (and middle of the night). We ended up waking up multiple times because of the light. Other than that, it was great!
My adult daughter and I had a great four day getaway. Room enough so we weren't cramped. The unit was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Close to beaches and great places to eat. We preferred driving to the public beach at Inlet Beach.
The condo was great with a comfy bed and new sofa sleeper. The decorating touches are beachy and chic. The owners were quick to respond to my questions and nice to deal with.. The additional space, both inside and on the balcony, makes a big difference. I will definitely be back.
We stayed at Inn at Seacrest Beach #305 for a long getaway weekend. The condo is well furnished, clean and thoughtfully appointed. The deck is large, looks over the swimming pool, and you can see the gulf waters across 30a and between beachfront condos. The deck is one of the best parts about this unit. I did miss the sea breeze and the sound of waves you get when you stay right on the beach. The condo is located between Rosemary and Alys beaches and Seaside is only minutes away. The property listing was accurate and the owners very responsive and friendly. We had a great stay and recommend this unit to others looking for an affordable condo near the beach and great restaurants/shopping.
Starfish is a well decorated condo with everything you could need while on vacation. The private beach access is an added bonus. The oversized balcony is perfect for relaxing on in the morning and evenings while being on the third story levels a short elevator ride with an ocean view in the distance. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the essentials for a beach vacation and the bathroom is comfortably large. The entire condo has a modern, white scheme that adds to its charm. There are several restaurants within a moderate walk or bike ride away and you can drive into Rosemary town square within a few minutes. The wristband system for getting onto the beach is annoying, however, as we missed our first day on the beach because they were missing from the condo. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed Starfish and would definitely book again. Starfish has a unique charm to it, unmatched by anywhere that we have stayed before. We already miss it and look forward to returning again sometime!
We recently stayed in Starfish for several days. The unit looked similar to pictures. The bed was very comfortable, but the sleeper sofa was not. It has a thin mattress and is held together with zip ties and straps. Hope the next improvement is a good mattress then I will up the stars. The dishes and appliances were good. Housekeeping missed cleaning shelves and trays on top of fridge, but other than that it was clean. My only real complaint would be the book that had tons of recommendations for eating/activities and a map was severely out of date. Map, dated 2009, showed beach access that was closed, so DON'T try to find any in Aly's Beach and check to see if restaurant is still in business...many have changed. The tram to get you back and forth to the beach was friendly and comes if you call. Never saw it when needing to go home, so we walked quite a bit. If you have lots of gear you might want to look for a closer location. It's two blocks to the opening then almost the same to the beach. Lovely area, felt safe, enjoyed the beach!!! Oh, and the beach access is private so vendors try to require you to rent chairs/umbrellas instead of bringing your own. We found that if we went to the 3rd vendor to the left the prices dropped significantly! Restaurants were good/pricey/and had longs waits. George's was nice, a bit warm on the sunny side inside, pricey, but yummy! Several grocery stores just a short drive East, as well as a CVS and some fast food. Several places to buy trinkets and tee shirts, but much less expensive in Panama City Beach.
Many restaurants/cafes/coffee shops/shopping within a 4 block walking radius
