|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
The apartment is most conveniently located.
Few steps from Piazzale ROma (car park) or the train station (Venezia S. Lucia)
is wwll located in the heart of the historich city center in a nice residentail area full of life and not only tourist crowd.
Easily reachable from the railway station in only five minutes, it is situated next to the Strada Nuova, the main street leading to Rialto (15 min) and Piazza San Marco (25 min).
Few steps from San Marcuola - Casinò boat stop along the Gran Canal and to Guglie stop where you can get the boat too the islands of the lagoon (Murano, Burano, Torcello)
Quiet and cozy, it is the perfect solution for a family or a group of friends visiting the city: a true home away from home.
There are plenty of shops, restaurants and fruit stands nearby. Most people that have stayed in the apartment find the location great.
My name is Antonio, have been living in Venice for almost 20 years, I came here to study history of art at the university and then decided to live here.
I have been managing a small bed and breakfast for about 15 yrs givin happy hopitality to serveral dozens of visitors, and some of them are now friends.
My interests are still art, symphonic and chamber music, opera, theatre, and in the last years I have been practising calligraphy.
Antonio purchased this apartment in 2003
This is not my home, I live few hundred meters from here. I started to manage it in September 2016 when a friend of mine was to busy with his job and asked me if I wan to take care of his aparmtent.
When in 1996 as a student I started to live in Cannaregio, I thought this is it!
Location, location, location: as if you may have the feeling you are far from the main momunents, you have to consider Venice as a small town, and in 25 minutes walking you are in Saint Mark square. On the other side, you will be staying in a very nice residential area, full of resturants and bars and wine bars. walking distance from the train station and close to Piazzale Roma where you will arrive from the airport.
Cannaregio is one of the few areas of the city that has not yet been changed by the mass tourism that effect Venice in the last years.
In this area, there are still a lot of Venitians living (me included) and still has the flavour of a nice stile of living.
Plenty of restaurants, sweet shops, fruit/vegetable kiosk, Ice cream shop, bakeries, plus a supermarket really 20 meters from the apartment which opens between 8.30 am and 10.00 pm.
Where else would you like to be?
We loved the apartment! It had plenty of room for 5 people and was very clean. The location was awesome. EVERYTHING is steps away, from coffee to groceries. Antonio was very accommodating to our schedule (we arrived late). He met us right at a water bus stop and walked us to the apartment. We've been to Venice before and much prefer this neighborhood instead of by San Marcos Square. I know some reviews mention the noise, and yes it is above a restaurant, but we enjoyed it. In fact, we went to the restaurants to have drinks a couple of times. We plan on visiting Venice in the future and plan on staying here again. It's a great apartment at a great value.
We stayed 3 nights and out of all our accommodation it was the most well appointed and had everything we needed. Very clean and tidy and the extra bathroom was lovely. We were met and escorted to the apartment and this was seamless to arrange, thank you. Our only negative would be the noise. This apartment is above a restaurant and when we stayed there was construction going on across the way, this means we didn't sleep that well.
This apartment was very clean and simple. The location of this apartment is great. There is a steep marble staircase but the gentleman who met us carried the heavy suitcases up and down them when we arrived and departed. We walked all over the old city of Rome. To the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Colisseum, Piazza Navona, the Wedding Cake. We rode the bus to Villa Borghesi and went to the zoo. This apartment has one bedroom and the living room became the bedroom for our two daughters (18 & 23). There is a delicious gelato place about four blocks down on the left. CamBioVita on Roma Via del Governo Vecchio. The best peach gelato in the City. We will stay here again when we come back to Rome.
I stayed here for three nights with my husband and 2 small children and we really enjoyed the location of this apartment. It's close to vaporetto stop, grocery store, fruit market, cafe, restaurants, great little pizza shop! Everything went smooth with reservations an payment. Adriano's friend met us at the vaporetto stop and walked us to the apartment and gave us all of the essential information. All of my questions prior to the stay were answered promptly also. We loved that it was away from the very touristy area yet close enough to walk or take the vaporetto if the kids were tired. Everything inside the apartment was clean and functional. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend Venice and this apartment to anyone!
Our family had a wonderful stay in Casa di Adri in July 2013. Adriano, the owner of the property is Wonderful! Everything was as he promised and it really helped that he speaks English very well. The apartment was just perfect for 2 adults and 3 children and everything was functioning to our satisfaction. We loved the cute italian kitchen that was well equipped and was like new. We were also very happy to stay in Cannaregio which we found very charming and with an authentic atmosphere.
We also enjoyed the short distances to everything. The apartment is very central situated (but quiet) , in 15-20 minutes you can reach San Marco Square by foot.
All in all we spent 2 wonderful nights in Venice and we have already recommended your apt to friends and will continue to do so!
The Spiegelstein Family
The apartment is in a great location, just off the Strada Nuova. For transportation, we were able to walk to the train station and have easy access to vaporetto stops on both the Grand Canal and the Fondamente Nove (for trips to the islands). A grocery is just around the corner and fruit stands set up nearby.
The apartment itself was clean and well set up. Although not luxurious, it has everything needed and is as presented in the pictures. The bedrooms and baths were a good size. One of the baths was on the ground floor, but this did not present a problem. It was nice having the washer available to us, although it seems hard to dry clothes in Venice!
The owner and his apartment manager were both responsive to our questions. The key handoff went smoothly. We were a group of four adults and this apartment worked perfectly; the price seemed very good for Venice.
The apartment is located in the heart of Venice, next to San Marcuola and very close to the Jewish Ghetto. There is a grocery just around the corner and fruit stands set up nearby. The waterbus stop is only 5 minutes away.
