The house has a huge living room of 55 square meters with two balconies overlooking the street where you will enjoy beautiful views of the Collegiate Church of San Isidro. It has four bedrooms, two of them en suite, the master bedroom has a bath tub.
In the house can accommodate 13 people and is especially comfortable for its fantastic location. The house has been completely refurbished in 2015
we, a family of 8 persons, spent 7 days in this nice and spacious apartment. tomas the housekeeper was very nice and helped with everything. most of the important things in madrid are close. the apartment is exactly the way it looks in the description. we had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend madrid and the apartment.
I echo the sentiments in the other recent reviews: Great apartment, great location, and very comfortable for our whole family. I will say that we had some initial lags in communication, but as noted in the more recent reviews there seems to have been a change to Tomas, who was very responsive and very nice to work with, which was a change for the better.
The living room is very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. The photos do a good job of depicting everything, though I can't speak to the one room with the bunk beds from the photos. There was one door which was locked during our stay (we'd assumed it was an "owner's closet" or the like), but I'm now guessing that it was the bunk room. No matter, we only had 6 people with us, though it would have been helpful to use for the baby...
To that point, there was a high chair available for our kiddo and the drawers in the kitchen are all pulled out via a handle at counter-top height, so it's a great "baby-proofed" apartment if you're traveling as a family. There were also some cool Spanish kid's books and a handful of ping pong balls lying around that were hours of diversion for our little guy. Just don't let any toddlers see the (very cool) key-chains that are in the form of little birds and "nest" in cool wall birdhouses. Ours wouldn't stop trying to climb up to get a hold of them!
If you stay here, make sure to hit up the Taberna Tirso de Molina. Nothing special, but very typical of the local bar I remember frequenting in the Chamberi neighborhood in college.
We loved our stay in the apartment - it is very nicely decorated and has a huge communal area which is great for eating and drinking with friends. Having a dishwasher was also great! The apartment is well stocked with essentials and there is a Lidl a few minutes walk away.
There were 9 people in our group and we had plenty of room. The 3 bathrooms was a huge bonus when it came to getting ready.
The location is fantastic, with Plaza Major right around the corner and the tapas restaurants in Calle Cava Baja a few minutes walk away. The street also has plenty of taxis passing by, so it is easy to flag one.
Both the owner and Tomas who met us with the keys were a pleasure to deal with.
The living room, dining room, kitchen area were one large area with lots of room for 9 of us. The location was perfect, we could walk everywhere. The apartment is well furnished and equipped. AC works great. We just had trouble figuring out the stove top and coffee maker - but Tomas came over within an hour to explain the high tech gadgets. In fact Tomas was wonderful and provided us with answers to all our questions. The only thing he didn't manage to do is put up the missing blinds in 2 bedrooms. Previous visitors had broken them. It was a bit uncomfortable because the Windows faced neighboring windows and anyone could look into our bedrooms. Also, we were missing a tv remote and only had 1 wine glass to share...? Other than that we can highly recommend this apartment and wouldn't hesitate to rent again....as long as the blinds are up.
GRACIAS! Special thanks to Tomas for reserving our taxis to the airport!!!
This apartment was perfect for us! We were two families with 5 kids between us and this apartment fit our needs perfectly. Location could not be beat and the apartment is very well kept. Owner is great to work with and helped us throughout the process. Highly recommend staying here.
This apartment is exactly as the pictures look. Newly renovated and very smart. We were two families of4 with 4 teenage girls we were Very comfortable with 4 bedrooms , 2 en suite bathrooms and a family bathroom. The living room and kitchen room has lots of space to relax, cook and eat. The position is fantastic right next to plaza mayor and within walking distance of two metros. There are supermarkets within walking distance, if you come out of the apartment and turn left you hit a Lidl within a block.
