Guestbook comments from the owner

Tillicum Lodge is a beautiful place! The first time we came inside, we were surprised to see all the beautiful art pieces gathered with love and preciously arranged around the house. It was almost dark when we arrived. Next morning, the outside welcomed us. Each morning we enjoyed the view, birds hasting through the wind nearby the windows, birds resting and eating on the waves, an old man wandering alone without a dog and so on. There is a bunny in the garden around five in the afternoon. We had a wonderful week at the coast. Climbed Cape Perpetua, shopped in Florence, etc. We do not like to go, but at home we will remember summer 2010 in Tillicum Lodge! A place to love!!!

The most wonderful vacation rental!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Yachacts! This was the most beautiful house! We were so comfortable, the view was outstanding... we saw whales and seals and all sorts of sea life. The house was fully equipped with everything you could ever need. It was absolutely spotless when we arrived, and it felt like home. A wonderful week full of wonderful memories!

Best Vacation Home Ever

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at vacation rentals all over the world, but this home was exceptional. It really felt like a home, not a rental. It was well stocked with paper supplies, spices, towels, etc. (all the things rentals normally have none of). The home was gorgeous and was built with top of the line appliances and fixtures. No scrimping here! The views were to die for. Solid windows facing the ocean, including the bedrooms.

The beach was so clean and we practically had it to ourselves. We could take long walks along the sand and only pass a few other people. This was truly the most relaxing vacation ever. The weather was gorgeous and sunny. We can't wait to return and are even considering retiring to the area in the future.

I can't recommend this home enough. My biggest thanks to the owners for making their home our home. We will be back!

We can't wait to come back!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have imagined a better experience. The house is stunning and the view/proximity to the beach was perfection. We used this amazing house as a home base for seven days while we explored the northern and central coast. We enjoyed the visit north but this central area was ideal in no small part because of where we stayed. Our 17 yo son declared this our best vacation ever and wants to buy the house! We all agreed it was the perfect place. The house is so well appointed; it exceeded our every want and need. Thank you for the hospitality. We are planning our return.

Earthy Beautiful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in June 2017, we were celebrating a High School Graduation. The house was on point of what we needed. It was a calming magical home, full of lots of good energy, if you're into crystals and rocks this home has many beautiful treasures on display throughout the home. It's fun to go on the beach and see what treasures you can find, while finding yourself deep in thought with long walks, or getting cozy with a sunset and a good book with the view, sound, and smell of the ocean intoxicatingly everything you do. Don't miss the restaurant Ona, the little bakery/coffee shop down the street and watching glass blowing artist give a live display of his trade in-person. We also visited a lighthouse in Newport and I wish I had gone earlier in the day as I could have sat on that beach for hours and heard the musical rocks crash with each other all afternoon. The beach is extreamly clean, and you can watch the kids safely play at the beach while you relax in the house and read, cook, drink wine, or rock out with amazing music selection they have in the house. I haven't sat and listened to a full album in a long time and that was amazing to relax and go back in time a little, it was nice and slow week. They had a great selection of spices in the kitchen and it was fun to make all kinds of yummy treats. We made fresh blueberry jam, brownies, tacos, french toast, and chicken alfredo, and cooking was a true pleasure in this wonderful kitchen. We saw whales, seal lions countless birds and crabs things by the thousands on the beach. Many memories made and we hope to come back and stay again. Thank you!

New Oregon Coast Favorite!

  • 5 of 5

We've found a new favorite! What a wonderful home. During our stay we experienced both warm, sunny weather and a significant spring wind/rain/hail storm. We enjoyed both extremes and especially appreciated the fireplace during the stormy days. We walked miles along the sand and found time to enjoy the attractions in Newport, Waldport and Yachats.

Thank you so much for sharing your family home and treasures.

We will return!
