We had a wonderful stay at the house. Everything it promised and more. quick trip up and down the coast for exploring. close to kayaking, crabbing, fishing and hiking places. best of all, lay in bed and watch the waves. Great for families.

Best VRBO out there!!!

  • 5 of 5

We have rented quite a few VRBOs and this one has to be near the top of our list! What a beautiful home! Wonderful bedding - fantastic towels, clean appearance everywhere!! Usually on a VRBO, you're first stop is the grocery store to pick up supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, plates, napkins, salt and pepper, etc. Not on this one! Everything was there already! Andnthr kitchen was a gourmet delight - although we ate out as much as we cooked in! Great barbecue setup! Fantastic deck with wonderful seating to watch sunrises and sunsets! The best sand beach ever - no seaweed or yucky things!! The cell reception was not the best - but a house phone is provided! Our wifi worked fine! And so much to do in the area! My favorite was the tidal pools! My husbands favorite was the many hikes we took! Loved the sea lion caves and loved watching the moon set in the ocean!!

I can't say enough how great this VRBO was! Just writing about it makes me want to go back - and we will hopefully!! WONDERFUL

The most wonderful vacation rental!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Yachacts! This was the most beautiful house! We were so comfortable, the view was outstanding... we saw whales and seals and all sorts of sea life. The house was fully equipped with everything you could ever need. It was absolutely spotless when we arrived, and it felt like home. A wonderful week full of wonderful memories!

Best Vacation Home Ever

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at vacation rentals all over the world, but this home was exceptional. It really felt like a home, not a rental. It was well stocked with paper supplies, spices, towels, etc. (all the things rentals normally have none of). The home was gorgeous and was built with top of the line appliances and fixtures. No scrimping here! The views were to die for. Solid windows facing the ocean, including the bedrooms.

The beach was so clean and we practically had it to ourselves. We could take long walks along the sand and only pass a few other people. This was truly the most relaxing vacation ever. The weather was gorgeous and sunny. We can't wait to return and are even considering retiring to the area in the future.

I can't recommend this home enough. My biggest thanks to the owners for making their home our home. We will be back!

We can't wait to come back!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have imagined a better experience. The house is stunning and the view/proximity to the beach was perfection. We used this amazing house as a home base for seven days while we explored the northern and central coast. We enjoyed the visit north but this central area was ideal in no small part because of where we stayed. Our 17 yo son declared this our best vacation ever and wants to buy the house! We all agreed it was the perfect place. The house is so well appointed; it exceeded our every want and need. Thank you for the hospitality. We are planning our return.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Tillicum Lodge is a beautiful place! The first time we came inside, we were surprised to see all the beautiful art pieces gathered with love and preciously arranged around the house. It was almost dark when we arrived. Next morning, the outside welcomed us. Each morning we enjoyed the view, birds hasting through the wind nearby the windows, birds resting and eating on the waves, an old man wandering alone without a dog and so on. There is a bunny in the garden around five in the afternoon. We had a wonderful week at the coast. Climbed Cape Perpetua, shopped in Florence, etc. We do not like to go, but at home we will remember summer 2010 in Tillicum Lodge! A place to love!!!
