Paris is the number 1 city to visit in the WORLD and the best place on earth!
Much more luxurious and spacious than other apartments or a hotel.
Dear Julie and Bill,
We had a grand time staying at your
home in Paris. It was fab to be part of
a French neighborhood for those nine
days. The condo was very comfortable and
VERY convenient. We walked all around
the area and found it to be even better
than we had hoped it would be.
We got the 6 day museum pass and found
that to be helpful in allowing us to
maximize our museum visits.
I even found a yarn store less than a
block away, as well as a ribbon store! I
found everyone to be helpful and easy to
We were met at the airport by the
driver you arranged and then David was
there to show us around. It was a stress
free introduction to Paris after a long
flight. I particularly enjoyed the
everyday shopping and easy meal prep
(although I didn't do a lot of it!)
This is one of our favorite vacations.
It was a pleasure to stay at your home.
This property is a real gem and gives you the opportunity to experience "living" in Paris. The quality of the bedding and facilities is excellent. We were welcomed into the apartment we felt right at home. We used the washing machine and the kitchen and they were great. There were plenty of fresh towels too! We loved the patisserie across the road, used the metro and the Carrefour supermarche was very convenient. The place is set up for visitors with guide books, maps and wifi. The owners have been brilliant to deal with providing excellent information and dealing with renters in a very professional and clear way!!! Whilst this was the most inexpensive accommodation in our three week trip I think it was our favourite! We look forward to returning.
This was the second time I stayed here, and I'll continue to come back. I love the location and of course the apartment itself. We didn't spend much time in the apartment, but it felt like coming home.
Loved it! Tucked away in a quiet little corner of town but only a two minute walk to the metro. The location was absolutely perfect! We walked to just about everything, Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Latin Quarter and more! There is a market and plenty of eateries to entice every palate within a few minutes of the apartment. The apartment itself is charming, clean and well equipped to make your stay very comfortable. I especially loved their selection of every possible up to date guidebook imaginable! This was our first experience staying in an apartment instead of a hotel, and we were definitely spoiled with this one. Bill and Julie, the owners, made the process so easy! We would highly recommend this perfect apartment and can't wait to get back again!
When we arrived at the house, there was no street address. We tried the code given to us by the owner on every pad we could see. It did not work for a simple reason. The owner had given us the wrong code. We could not get in. Luckily (!!??) there were workers in the area who knew the code. The area around the apartment is under extensive renovation. ALL workers had the code to get in the building!!!! Not very safe! Especially since there was no safe in the apartment to secure passports, money, etc.....
The manager met us in the apartment; he was there just because, luckily, we had called him the night before. He did not have our arrival on his schedule!!!
The entrance, once you are in the building, was a real disgrace. It was old and unkept. We knew we would be on the third floor without access to an elevator but we did not know that two stories meant 47 steps. The first set of stairs had 27 steps. Not too practical for two retired persons with suitcases.
The apartment itself was just ok. It was not up to our usual standards of cleanliness. We did not want to cook there. We only had breakfasts. There is laundry facility but the dryer did not work. We had to hang our clothes on a rack. Luckily, it dried quickly.
The furniture (living room and kitchen) was very uncomfortable. It was surely not suitable for older people.
Location was good with a subway station very near. Subway transportation is very easy in Paris.
My teenage son and I stayed here for 5 nights in March 2015, and we could not have had a more wonderful experience.
LOCATION - extremely convenient to the Metro or easy walking access to Pompidou, Marais, Notre Dame and Ile St. Louis. There are various markets and boulangeries very near by. The apartment is in a very well-traveled but quiet area, and is very safe. I was unafraid to take my 14-year old son out at any hour.
AMENITIES - the (true) queen size bed is probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - period. The apartment was clean, bright, and homey. The kitchen is well stocked, and having the washing machine available was a wonderful convenience since we were traveling for a couple weeks total. There was a large variety of converters available which was helpful.
CONCIERGE - David was available by phone and text during our entire stay. He helped troubleshoot an issue I had with using hte washing machine, and offered some great recommendations as to where to watch the PSG-Chelsea Champions Match one evening. He was our "safety net" during our stay.
I've since recommended your property to a couple of friends who travel to Paris often, and I look forward to staying there again. Truly, this apartment is a gem!
We stayed in this comfortable flat in Paris for 5 nights in February 2015. The apartment was as advertised and fit our needs and wants. The bed and sofa were very comfortable, the shower was awesome with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but did note there were pots/pans and a two burner stove, small refrigerator and cups/glasses. The kitchen was stocked with things like coffee and tea, sugar and some other basics, which was nice. We enjoyed the large sofa bed for lounging in the afternoons. It was cold while were were there and the apartment was nice and warm.
The location is good, there is a very nice bakery just across the street and several little markets close by. We really enjoyed the neighborhood, however, we'd probably choose to stay closer to the Latin Quarter next time for eating out options. There likely are great and economical choices close by, we just happened to like the eating options in the Latin Quarter better. All in all, we'd highly recommend this place for comfort, price and convenience. We only used the Metro to go to the Eiffel Tower and to/from he airport; all else was easy walk of 15-20 minutes.
Perfect location and steps from the Metro, Shopping and all the best Paris has to offer.
Other Activities: Shopping, Site seeing and walk to the Siene/Notre Dame in 10 minutes
