You have a choice of staying in a hotel or a motel room, a few with an indoor pool or in our beautiful cottage on one-acre of land, with a private beach, a boat, and a Sebago Lake just steps from the cottage. You have a choice of hearing the traffic or the people in the next room or of listening to the birds and the loons as you relax in the rocking chairs overlooking the gardens and the lake.. You can grill and eat by the lake or eat in your room. The choices are endless. The decision is easy.
Fifteen-hundred years ago the area that now includes Sebago Lake was under about a mile of ice. Today, Sebago Lake is special. It is the deepest lake in Maine, the seventh cleanest in the world and holds enough water to meet our needs for the next century. Sebago Lake holds a trillion gallons of water. Imagine filling up pool water trucks with water from Sebago Lake. The line of trucks would reach from the Earth to the moon and back two times. We invite you to stay at our cottage and relax, swim, boat, fish, enjoy the loons, and savor the natural beauty of the lake.
SPRINGTIME IN MAINE
We invite you to enjoy some of the spring events that celebrate life, great food, nature, art, festivals, fun, and relaxation. Our cottage is located on Sebago Lake, the seventh cleanest lake in the world and the home of the land-locked salmon. The cottage is conveniently located forty minutes from Portland, a city with fabulous restaurants
and opportunities to take whale watching and island tours. We are also within driving distance to Boston, New Hampshire, Boothbay, Kennebunkport,
L.L. Bean, and several outlet malls. Just like the spring bulbs burst into color, spring brings color to Maine. The possibilities are endless:
Hike, bike, and enjoy the outdoors.
Visit Maine's famous Botanical Gardens.
Old Port Festival.
Boating and fishinbg.

We take great pride in our cottage and keep it in immaculate shape and clean. Another one of our goals is to supply guest renters with an experience greater than what they expected.
The cottage is located on an acre of land with lots of flowers and a grassy lawn. There's a sandy beach and a deep-water dock for a boat.
We bought this property because it borders our next door home. Waterfront properties such as this don't come on the market frequently. Plus it has a beautiful view and is a level acre of land.
We consider this location on Big Sebago Lake as 'Paradise', which is why our home is located next door.
Please read the many reviews by guests who have stayed at the cottage.
Due to our guests' allergies we do not allow pets or smoking in the cottage or on the property grounds. Marian and I personally clean the cottage, and groom the flower beds to make things as tidy and attractive as possible. The lawn is mowed by a service company usually on a weekly basis or as needed. The neighborhood is very quiet therefore only a maximum of 6 people are allowed on the property or in the cottage at any time.

Vacation land awaits.
Marian and Bob - Well, we are coming to the close of our 3rd week here and I don't know where the time has gone. We look forward to this vacation every year and when we get here it just flies by. The pies were delicious, Rich enjoyed his lemon meringue while I the blueberry which he also had some of. The weather was good and for once I had a great time shopping at Macy's. The gift bag was great and I definitely will be making some of those chicken recipes. Fishing for Rich was not good but he enjoyed just being on the lake and relaxing. Wishing you both a health and happy 2017. See you again next year.
We had another wonderful stay at the cottage. Our girls are 4 and 2.5, and they thoroughly enjoyed the private beach and grassy lawn. The home is kept immaculately clean, and the gardens are just a pleasure. The hosts are warm and make sure everyone is well taken care of. We will return next year!
This was our first time at the cottage and we were pleasantly surprised! It is beautiful, well stocked and spotless! We also enjoyed the lemon meringue pie. We spent a lot of our time on the private beach. My kids, age 12 and 5, had a blast. We did a couple of day trips, and are familiar with the area. We loved that it was close to everything, yet so quiet and secluded. We would definitely stay here again!
We have been coming here for several years with our granddaughters and never tire of this lovely spot. The cottage is always immaculate, well stocked, and you can count on a pie waiting for you in the refrigerator. The owners always greet us and make us feel welcome. The large manicured lawn and beautiful flower gardens make sitting outdoors a pleasure. When we tire of swimming, we fish off the dock, go boating, or just relax on our private beach. The view by the waters edge is wonderful and this year we watched fireworks around the lake from the comfort of our lawn chairs!! Shopping and eating out are nearby when we want it and this pleases our teenagers. If you prefer to BBQ, a grill is located on the beach. All in all, this rental property offers us everything we are looking for. When we are here we want for nothing and arrive home rested and happy with memories of another vacation well spent.
Probably the best VRBO rental we have ever done. The cottage was beautifully furnished and spotless clean. We especially enjoyed the rocking chairs outside right on the lake. The "super" moon came up one night right over the lake and was spectacular. The cottage was centrally located so we did day trips for a week and visited the coast of Maine and the mountains of New Hampshire within a one hour drive. The owners, Marian and Bob, provided some excellent tips for travel and spots to eat. All were excellent choices. They also provided blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream for us to snack during the week. Overall one of the best vacations we have ever had.
After a several hour drive from Connecticut we arrived at our cottage. We were immediately drawn to spectacular Sebago Lake. After a few moments we turned to unpack the car and were welcomed by Bob and Marian. Bob said "Welcome to Paradise". Within 24 hours we knew exactly what he was talking about. The cottage was pristine. We walked in to an overflowing vase of flowers and a fresh baked blueberry pie in the fridge. Oh and I can't forget the vanilla ice cream to go with it. We brought my 14 year old daughter and niece. They loved hanging out in the loft and on the lake. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The perfect retreat from our crazy lives of nonstop running. We are hoping to go back next year. The cottage, yard and view are better than pictured! We made many memories that we will cherish for a very long time.
My family of four enjoyed a beautiful week at this delightful cottage. Everything you could want and more is here, from your own private beach and dock to a sprawling yard to explore! Our two sons especially loved the loft sleeping area and made it their camp while we visited. The owners, Marian and Bob, go out of their way to make you feel welcome including baking a delicious blueberry pie. I can not rave enough about this special place. We would love to come back again soon!
