A spectacular view to the East side of Puerto Rico. This is the only building in the complex to have direct view to the sea. Culebra and Vieques islands among others.Walking distance to el Conquistador Resort and the golf course. The apartment have a very upscale furniture. The balcony/terraza is spacious and comfortable. Kitchen has granite counter tops, refrigerator, dish washer, stove, microwave and wine cooler. Everything is in stainless steel. There is also a washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twins and double (futon). Only one hour from San Juan.
We also offer a complimentary(fuel only) private boat/snorkeling expedition to the islands nearby. This is subject to availability at the time of rental.
We really enjoyed our family vacation in Puerto Rico! Hansel was very easy to work with before our trip, & easy to reach while there too.The boat ride that he provides as part of renting his condo for the week was such a great experience(even though it rained part of the time!) He took us to 3 different islands to swim & snorkel...we all had a great time! The condo overlooks the marina which we thought was a really awesome view, & you can also see a few of the islands from the balcony too! The kids enjoyed the 3 different pools on site but there were so many different beaches to visit in the area that we did more of that than the pools. The condo was well equipped, I can't think of anything that we needed during our week that wasn't provided. Everyone was comfortable, we had plenty of room in the condo for our family of 6 plus my mother & never felt crowded. It was so nice having a washer & dryer in the condo as we used it quite a bit! Tons of restaurants in the area, grocery stores & Walgreens close also. We felt VERY safe here, and the people working the front gate always seemed friendly and very thorough...checking your name on the list every time you came in. There are a couple restaurants you can walk too and a tiny bar that are right on the Marina. We never went to the bar, but they had live music we got to enjoy a couple nights while sitting out on the balcony & so did one of the reataurants(La Ola) This was our first time to Puerto Rico and we would definately go back!
Our family of all ages enjoyed our time and all the things we did(& there was TONS of things we didn't have time to do...maybe next time!)
Thanks Hansel for a great place to stay & the boat trip!
I think this condo & this area of Puerto Rico is a place people of all ages would enjoy! We are in our early 40's, our kids are 16, 13, 11 & 3 & my mother is 65...all of us had an AMAZING Spring Break vacation(March 20-27)!!
We had a beautiful stay in Fajardo. Many thanks to Hansel for providing a great location for our stay and a great day out on the boat swimming and snorkeling. The patio looks out over the marinas and beyond and some of the best parts of our visit included sitting on the patio in the morning chatting over a cup of coffee to start each day and then sitting on the patio chatting over a few beers to end the day. In between we kept busy enjoying the local activities - including one day trip to El Yunque, one day trip to San Juan and one day on Culebra. Hansel helped get us equipped with snorkeling equipment at the local dive shop. By the way, the guy running the dive shop is one of the nicest guys you will meet. All of the locals were amazingly friendly. Just down the hill from the condo there were a couple of buildings that looked like closed fish markets - but on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, they lit up with live music and beverages. We made the trip down the hill to enjoy a reggae band one evening and all of the locals in the place were very welcoming. We felt like we really spent time in Puerto Rico - instead of spending time at an Americanized resort that happened to be located in Puerto Rico. Loved the condo, loved the people and loved the whole Puerto Rico experience and can't wait to return.
My best friend, myself and both of our wives stayed at this condo for 5 days in the beginning of March. Our consensus is that this place was a steal! 3 rooms, a great view, 2 pools and a gym, a mile from a restaurant that serves Sushi Pizza ( you must go to Di Yukas nearby) and about 2 miles from the ferry to go to Culebra and Vieques. Seven seas beach is very close as well, but make sure you walk up past the beach to go to the Colora beach. Hansel took us out on his boat also, that made the trip. We were all sun burnt so not much snorkeling but the Palominitoes was amazing. I honestly can't recommend this place enough, and Hansel was great! A/C worked, I'm not sure about the cable as we didn't watch TV but everything works. Thank you Hansel for letting us stay. Cheers from NY and Florida!!
Out of the units in the Pena Mar complex, this had one of the best views, facing out to the sea where you can see Culebra, Vieques, and (on a good day) even St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. One of my favorites parts of the apartment is opening the windows on both sides of the unit, allowing a consistent, pleasant breeze through the rooms. I used the air conditioner for one night, but didn't use at all for the remaining three weeks. There is a balcony with a number of chairs and a table which we used often just to sit outside and enjoy the sunrise with our coffee.
Pena Mar is very close to Playa Seven Seas, and just a short drive to Playa Luquillo with its surfing and kiosks. Just a little further is El Yunque, making impromptu trips very easy and convenient. Trips to San Juan are just a little further and we made many of them. Across the street are a few marinas where you can take day trips to the nearby islands like Icacos, and around the corner in Fajardo is the ferry terminal to Culebra and Vieques. It is very centrally located.
The unit was well-equipped, clean, and our host left many useful items like brochures of nearby restaurants, a full stock of pots and pans, dishwasher solution, plenty of utensils and cups, and tennis and beach equipment. There is a washer and dryer in the unit which was very useful during our longer stay.
The complex has two swimming pools, one smaller and one larger. Security is good and pleasant - they make sure your name is checked off and do rounds around the complex. This unit is one of the most secluded all the away around the back with, again, I would consider some of the best views. A few restaurants and bars are across the street in walking distance, but like just about in any place in Puerto Rico, a car is really needed to see as much of this wonderful island as possible.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this unit and on Borinquen. The unit and neighborhood comes highly recommended and would definitely be on the top of our list for returning to Puerto Rico. Thank you!
Our family vacation in P.R. every year. This year we decided to stay in the Fajardo area. We are so greatful to had found this place because its near all the best attractions in the Island. The view was breathtaking Wow! During the day as well at night. The place felt like home, we loved the accomodations we had when booking at the last minute. We definetly coming back next year with our family. Dont hesistate to book, we have stayed in many places from villas, to private homes to hotels and this was by far the best place we had stayed. Thank you for our wonderful memories Summer 2016.... Acosta Family
The property had an amazing view. Morning cup of coffee in the balcony was heavenly. It was contemporary and the ampliances were modern. The property has three pools and all were at easy access. It is a gated community with security around the clock. Only suggestion is if you have any questions or are planning any excursions, reach out to Hansel for guidance. My rating is 4 as I wished it was closer to the beach. Other than that it was home away from home.
The condo complex is new and clean w/ all the amenities one would want. At night you can hear the famous coquis croaking away. The complex is very safe with 24 hours security and gated entrance. The location is perfect for those that like to keep busy during their trips, if they choose. Snorkeling trips are literally 1 minute away (at the marina you see from the deck); Playa Seven Seas is a beautiful and uncrowded beach; a nature reserve w/ guided tours is 5 mins; and spectacular El Yunque Caribbean National Forest is 20 mins. Grocery shopping is 5 mins away at Amigos (a subsidiary or Wal-Mart...selection is equivalent to a medium-sized state-side supermarket). Take a ferry (5 minutes away) or an airplane on the local airport to visit Culebra and Vieques islands. Walking distance to el Conquistador Resort and the golf course. Walking distance to Marinas where you can go for a day sail to Icacos, Palominos, Ramos among other islands. . San Juan is only one hour away.
