About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8, 6 adult max)

Sit back and relax in front of oversized windows framing incredible views of the San Francisco Peaks. Located on the desirable west side of town, our house is two minutes from some of the best hiking and biking trails in the area, yet only five minutes from downtown Flagstaff and ten minutes from NAU. The designer decorated home features comfortable bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and tons of space for the whole family. Parks, the Museum of Northern Arizona, and trails are all in walking distance. We provide maps of mountain bike and hiking trails, local information, and sightseeing and restaurant recommendations.

Use our home as a base for wonderful adventures or enjoy simply soaking in the views. You'll find yourself delightfully cool in the summer (elevation over 7000 feet). In the winter enjoy the fact that the entrance to Snowbowl is only three miles away. Stay once and you'll understand why this is such a special getaway for our family.

The home sleeps 7-8 persons with four bedrooms (6 adult maximum): Master bedroom with king bed; Bedroom Two with a king bed; Bedroom Three with two twins; and Bedroom Four with a twin bed and twin trundle beneath.

About Becky Youman

We love being outdoors in Flagstaff.

Becky Youman purchased this house in 2005

Why Becky Youman chose Arizona

Northern Arizona is so special with its mountains, pines, and four seasons. Flag is a wonderful, laid-back town. It's a college town so there are lots of cultural activities and plenty of good restaurants. We can enjoy an amazing variety of scenery within an hour of our house, including the Grand Canyon, Navajo Nation, and Sedona. Mountain biking and hiking are two of our passions and Flag is the best spot in Arizona for those pursuits.

What makes this house unique

Our house has fantastic views of the San Francisco Peaks. It is also quite large and comfortable, with a back patio that can seduce you for hours. If you want to hike or bike, you can access great trails within a mile of our house or even go into Flag's fun downtown on the urban trail.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Everything was so wonderful. Love the view, very comfortable, close to everything. Great family weekend visiting NAU.

Easy to find and a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

The house has a beautiful view out the back and the inside was comfortable and clean. Neighborhood quiet and easy to find. We enjoyed our stay and the owner was extremely easy to contact with any questions and replied quickly. We definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the Flagstaff area.

Perfect location and perfect house for our vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house was great and located out of town away from all of the hustle and bustle of town but just a short mile to town. It was conveniently located to the ski hill which we thoroughly enjoyed - especially the 15" that fell one night. Also easy to get to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. We enjoyed relaxing at the house after busy days of sightseeing. Wish there were a few more staples/condiments in the house but other than that it had all we needed. Could have used a snow shovel as my husband used a rake and dirt shovel to clean the walk - we just laughed as we are from Wisconsin so it was no big deal! Would highly recommend to others and would stay again if we ever come back to Flagstaff!

Owner's Response: Glad you got such good snow. We had a snow shovel a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it looks like it "walked away." Thanks for letting me know -- I will order another one today.

Loved this home!

  • 5 of 5

We're a family of 4 who came for a ski get away. This house was perfect for us. Loved the proximity to Snowbowl - just 4 miles to the bottom (then 7 mile drive up to the lodge). We had plenty of room to spread out, comfortable beds, great kitchen and dining area, beautiful views. The family room has 4 reclining leather. chairs! Certainly could accommodate multiple families too, but we enjoyed the extra space. Very easy to get to, very clear instructions, had everything we needed.

Beautiful views and great space

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Flagstaff Peak. The name is appropriate as the mountains are right out the window. There was plenty of beds, provisions, and space for our family, plus a few visitors. The owner was very responsive to any questions and we loved the location. We even used the outdoor grill and it worked great. Thanks!
