Overview

Arizona House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8, 6 adult max)

Sit back and relax in front of oversized windows framing incredible views of the San Francisco Peaks. Located on the desirable west side of town, our house is two minutes from some of the best hiking and biking trails in the area, yet only five minutes from downtown Flagstaff and ten minutes from NAU. The designer decorated home features comfortable bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and tons of space for the whole family. Parks, the Museum of Northern Arizona, and trails are all in walking distance. We provide maps of mountain bike and hiking trails, local information, and sightseeing and restaurant recommendations.

Use our home as a base for wonderful adventures or enjoy simply soaking in the views. You'll find yourself delightfully cool in the summer (elevation over 7000 feet). In the winter enjoy the fact that the entrance to Snowbowl is only three miles away. Stay once and you'll understand why this is such a special getaway for our family.

The home sleeps 7-8 persons with four bedrooms (6 adult maximum): Master bedroom with king bed; Bedroom Two with a king bed; Bedroom Three with two twins; and Bedroom Four with a twin bed and twin trundle beneath.

About Becky Youman

We love being outdoors in Flagstaff.

Becky Youman purchased this house in 2005

Why Becky Youman chose Arizona

Northern Arizona is so special with its mountains, pines, and four seasons. Flag is a wonderful, laid-back town. It's a college town so there are lots of cultural activities and plenty of good restaurants. We can enjoy an amazing variety of scenery within an hour of our house, including the Grand Canyon, Navajo Nation, and Sedona. Mountain biking and hiking are two of our passions and Flag is the best spot in Arizona for those pursuits.

What makes this house unique

Our house has fantastic views of the San Francisco Peaks. It is also quite large and comfortable, with a back patio that can seduce you for hours. If you want to hike or bike, you can access great trails within a mile of our house or even go into Flag's fun downtown on the urban trail.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Everything was so wonderful. Love the view, very comfortable, close to everything. Great family weekend visiting NAU.

Comfortable family home

  • 5 of 5

This house was great for our family reunion vacation to the Grand Canyon! There was ample space for all 7 of us and the house was convenient to many attractions in the area. Becky was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Hopefully we will be able to return in the future!

Comfortable with a fantastic view!

  • 5 of 5

A perfect home to host an NAU graduation celebration. Home is well equipped and very comfortable. Never tired of gazing at the view of the San Francisco peaks. Great location away from the hustle of downtown but close enough to enjoy all the activities of Flagstaff.

Fabulous house with beautiful views in quiet subdivision

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Flagstaff for three nights and this home was perfect for our day trips to the Grand Canyon, rock climbing in Flagstaff, Meteor Crator and Tuba City. The beds were super comfortable. The views were beautiful. The kitchen was even stocked with some spices, etc whereas many rentals are not. The double head master shower was really nice. The kids said the shower upstairs was difficult to use and took a very long time to heat up but I never verified that myself. Becky was very easy to connect with and the deposit was refunded quickly. Definitely recommend.

Owner's Response: Glad that you enjoyed your stay. Sorry to hear about the upstairs shower -- that is strange. We have never experienced that. I will have our house manager look into it asap. We definitely try to keep the house in tip-top condition because we use it all the time ourselves!

Fantastic House and Location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five plus two adults (aunt and uncle) spent a week at this fantastic house in Flagstaff. The house was immaculately clean and very well provisioned for our stay. We generally ate breakfast at the house and several dinners, and were not lacking in any dishware or cooking utensils during our stay. The two king size beds were perfect for our family arrangement, and the loft upstairs was used by our pre-teens who didn't want to hang out with the rest of us after spending the whole day together :-)

The house is in a great location in Flagstaff - not very far out of downtown with a beautiful view of the peak. We spent one day in hiking in Sedona (and the kids tried out Slide Rock State Park - too cold for the adults!), one day hiking and biking the rim of the Grand Canyon, one day hiking the Fat Man Trail and checking out the Snow Bowl, one day in the Petrified Forest, and one day exploring Sunset Crater (my favorite!), Wapatki, and Walnut Canyon National Monuments (all three just a short drive from Flagstaff). We saw and did so much during our trip, but because the house was centrally located we never felt rushed or like we had to drive too far.

The owner, Becky, is very responsive to questions and emails and a delight to work with. Highly recommend this property!

This was a great place to stay with our family. A clean home with the basics we needed.

  • 4 of 5

The home was in a central location to all of the parks we visited. The pamphlets and three ring binder book gave us additional information on sights to see, restaurants and grocery stores. I would recommend it.

There sure was a beautiful view of Humprey Peak as well.
