Fun for all and all had fun...

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every minute. So much sight seeing and fun adventuring through the area. We are happy you have decided to share your natural wonderland with us... We look forward to returning next year. Thank you Steve and Kathy. Oh, and please thank the caretaker of the house again.

What a treat our stay was!

  • 5 of 5

Our third trip to North Carolina mountains, our first in this area, but may not be the last. This property had everything we needed and love. The facilities were clean, complete, and comfortable. In the ten days we left only twice to meet our daughter and to get groceries. We enjoyed hiking the trails, "rock walking" in the stream, and just relaxing and reading to the sound of the rushing water. The swing and hammock were favorites. Thanks for making a very special retreat for our 2016 stay! P.S. We are curious if Amos and Martha are ancestors of yours.

Owner's Response: Thanks Michael, for your complimentary review. We can tell you spent a lot of time exploring the acreage, as you found Martha & Amos! They aren't relatives, but my husband and son go visit them each time we are there. Hope you will return to Beech Creek soon. Cathy

Second time as good as the first!

  • 5 of 5

We were here last year for the first time. We loved the place so much that there wasn't any question that we would return! Amazing stay and absolutely love the house! We explored more of the property with our beagle and found things we missed last year. Renting was a breeze and the house has everything you would need to set up shop for the week. I love soaking in the garden tub and my husband likes to relax in the hot tub after a day of exploring the area. Our only question for next year is do we want to come later in the year to see the place all green from springtime!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much, Tara, for sharing! It's special as well, to ourselves and our children. I hope you can make it in the summer months, although, there really isn't a "bad" time of year on Beech Creek. Hope to see you again next year! Cathy & Family

Beyond our wildest dreams!

  • 5 of 5

We almost felt guilty staying in this gorgeous house with just the 2 of us and our beagle! As others have mentioned, the pictures do not do it justice. From the "a-ha" moment of seeing the house from the main road to discovering the beautiful property towards the back, everything was perfect. Loved the covered porch during a good old mountain thunderstorm with hail! Enjoyed the constant and soothing sounds of the stream. The house was well stocked and set up perfectly for larger groups. This was our second time renting a house in North Carolina and this was handled easily and quickly! I don't think there are enough exclamation points to properly convey our excitement about this property!

Relaxing Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect place to get away from it all! You are surrounded by mountains and have a lovely stream running behind the house to lull you to sleep each night. The house is nice, clean, and private, plus you have several acres to roam. Our dogs loved every second of their stay and were worn out each night. My husband fly fished and caught rainbow and brook trout. We plan to go back in the fall when the leaves change. I cannot put into words what a perfect place this is! Glorious!!!

Great summer getaway

  • 4 of 5

We went up with our grandson for the weekend and then spent 2 more days alone. The house was as advertised but you can not describe the peaceful feeling of being so close to the creek. My grandson wore me out climbing the rocks and jumping in the water. I highly recommend the stay, the down side is going back to work and not constantly thinking why you left so soon.
