GREAT place to stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

We love vacationing and visiting Haiwassee and Lake Chatuge. The home we've rented in the past was sold and no longer available to rent so we started searching for a new "perfect" place. My wife and I finally narrowed our choices of places to stay down to 3 homes for our 2016 Lake Chatuge vacation. We chose this one SOLELY based on the previous reviews of this home. We were not disappointed!!!!!!

The views from both decks are awesome. The home was very clean. Had everything you would need for a week-long stay. All appliances and equipment were in good shape and fully functional. AC works GREAT!! It's located just minutes from town but when you get to the home it doesn't feel like you're "in town". It's on a nice quiet street on a peaceful section of the lake. Very little vehicle and boat traffic. It has a nice deep water dock to tie up to if you bring a boat. The kids enjoyed swimming from the dock every day. BRING THE FISHING POLES!! We also fished every day from the dock. I bet we caught and released 60-70 fish that week. We kept enough one evening and had an awesome fish fry for dinner that night. For bait we used fresh crickets from the local bait and tackle store. Non stop pan-fish action.

The owner, Barbara, was extremely easy to deal with and very friendly. Great communication. She went above and beyond to make our stay great. Before committing to this rental I inquired about an onsite grill because I love to grill and BBQ. On our way up the day of our arrival she called to tell me she found out the grill was inoperable and apologized. Although I was disappointed, I told her it wasn't a big deal and not to worry about it...............She showed up the next morning with a BRAND NEW GRILL!!!! Now that's customer service. I'm glad she did, we used it several times.

It was also nice to find out that the home is veteran owned and operated. Being a Navy Veteran myself I always try to support veteran owned businesses. We look forward to our next visit!!

GO NAVY!!!!

Really impressed with how beautiful the town home was. It was beautifully decorated and very clean.

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival at the town home we were first happy to see that we were in a nice neighborhood and right on the lake. It was beautifully decorated. Anything you could think of was provided. All we had to have was our food, drinks and toothpaste. The bedding was so nice and comfortable and smelled awesome. We had a very relaxed week and hope to get back up that way. Ms Barbara was extremely helpful and called to see if we needed anything. We had a great experience using VRBO.

BEST GET AWAY!!!

  • 5 of 5

Barbara and Joe,

Thank you for making your home available to rent. The accommodations are so convenient...the location, the lake, the amenities! I loved it!

The beds are super comfy. Waking up to a lakeview directly from the Master Suite is a major plus. Both bedrooms are on the bottom floor, which is not a problem with accessibility to the outside also through the Master.

I will stay here every time that I visit Hiawassee!

Awesome experience!

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Just spent 5 days at this beautiful property. Everything was immaculate and the neighbors were friendly, too! The first day we were there we came out to find that one of our tires was flat! The neighbors told us about Aaron's Tire and Auto Store and they were great as well. Thanks again for the use of your beautiful home.

Tranquill retreat by the lake

  • 5 of 5

Our recent visit to Lake Chatuge to celebrate our 7th Anniversary was absolutely wonderful. Our accommodations were great. The townhome right on the water was fantastically furnished, and all amenities were state of the art and in good working order. We found that Hiawassee offered a full range of interesting sights and things to do and a wide variety of restaurants serving excellent foods. We especially enjoyed eating at the water's edge at the Blue Otter where we experienced the best Flounder sandwich ever. We will absolutely look forward to visiting Hiawassee again and hope to stay at the same townhome.

Thank you so much.

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a wonderful review. It is always good to know your guest are enjoying themselves and I appreciate your complimentary remarks. Congratulations again on your anniversary. I look forward to hearing from you again in the near future. You are welcome to come back anytime and hopefully you can enjoy a relaxing day on the lake. Rental boats are available at a couple of Marinas near Hiawassee and you can access The Blue Otter by boat which we often do when we are on the lake. They have a dock available for their guest.

Beautiful and Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

We visited Hiawassee for a concert and booked our stay in this lovely townhouse. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful with a beautiful lake view. The unit was very clean and furnished with lovely and comfortable furnishings. The beds were very comfortable which lead to a good night's sleep. The bedrooms were separated well enough to be very private. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you could possibly need to prepare any meal.

We will most surly be returning for other events. I can't wait to go back when the weather is warm enough to relax on either of the two beautiful patios.
