The property itself was fabulous. Everything was clean, we used the balcony and kitchen a lot to enjoy meals with the gorgeous view. It it worth noting the apartment is quite high up meaning lots of stairs. We are younger and in good health so no problems for us but I feel it's worth mentioning for seniors or those who may not be so athletic, we were puffed and sweaty each time walking up from the main beach area. There are a few shops and restaurants and also a local bus stop in very close walking distance which was excellent also.
I've deducted points for a few things. There is a huge hole in the wall of the master bedroom (not damaged, for some reason it is built into the wall). This means you can hear everything in the rest of the apartment.. Not so great for us as we were staying with a loud snorer in the other room! The apartment was also not well stocked. I understand we would need to purchase a few things however had zero toilet paper and other basics to kick us off. Lastly, the apartment manager was not the most nice person, she was quite rude to us on our final few days there which really soured the experience after what was a lovely holiday.
We stayed here in June 2016 and couldnt have been happier. The location 3/4 of the way up the hill was perfect - high enough to have a great scene to stare at in the morning but low enough to be in the middle of the action. If you walk down the stairs a bit further you will run into the restaurant we liked best during our stay, Da Vincenzo. The interior was clean and spacious, and the balcony was large. We spent a lot of time on the balcony watching the action below.
This apartment was move in ready, clean, with had all the amenities my wife and I needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the bedroom and balcony were simply breathtaking! This apartment is literally at the top of the hill, so be sure to get an internal bus pass once you arrive, especially to avoid a walk from the beach back up the hill. My wife was 5 months pregnant, so the bus made it much easier for her.
The landlord was very friendly and helpful.
Very affordable, we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.
Beautiful location overlooking the beach at Positano. We had a wonderful 5 days here and had both adventures roaming the town as well and just hanging out on the terrace watching the changing light of the days and nights.
Thanks so much for offering your house to rent short term.
We have just returned to Australia following our ten week vacation in Europe, 12 days of which were spent at Casa Niobe in Positano, booked through Summer In Italy. I felt it appropriate to give you some feedback on the Casa Niobe as it has only recently been opened for guests.
The house is just 45 steps down the street level, right at the top of the western side of Positano with an unparalleled view over the town, the main beach and the water. It gets morning sun which makes breakfast on the ample balcony a dream event. There is plenty of room and the appointments are excellent, especially the bathroom which has new fixtures and fittings and the kitchen/laundry which is well equipped. The bed is good, the storage ample, and the double glazed windows keep out the noise of town revellers or allow ventilation should that be a preference. Clean, tidy and well situated this apartment is a prize.
New to apartment ownership, Livia is a delight. She tries hard with English and is only too willing to go out of her way to help guests. In response, we were only too happy to buy a few essentials like a sharp vegetable knife and a good coffee maker to add to the apartment amenities. Likewise, we left a few essentials like salt, pepper and olive oil for new guests, just to get them going. However, Franco’s store is only up the road from the top of the steps and he has every consumable item you could possibly want by way of food and drink, household products and the like.
Summer In Italy are reliable and, from our single experience, appear to have good properties at reasonable rates. The booking experience was personalized and responsive to our requirements.
Stayed at casa Niobe with my wife and our 3 years old daughter and absolutely loved it. Unbelievable views from balcony, living room, kitchen and main bedroom that take your breath away every time.
If you don't know Positano - there are a lot of stairs, take your time and take in the sights on the way up and down.
Great hosts, nice and friendly.
