This is a well maintained property with lovely planting surrounding it. The views are magnificent, you will never tire of the changing skyscapes. Sunsets will live in your memory for ever. and the sight of Mount Vesuvius enveloped in clouds one minute then clear as a picture the next is fascinating. This is an ideal centre from which to explore the the many and diverse historic sites and places of interest that the area abounds with. The trains are on time and we thought them to be very cheap compared to the UK! Vico Equense itself has lovely shops and restaurants, and the local people are both helpful and friendly . If you have any problems you can telephone Renarto who will deal with it very quickly and effectively.
We would recommend this property, however, just a couple of things you may need to be aware of.
1. The walk into the town is uphill and fairly steep, about a quarter of a mile. It has a cobbled surface and no pavement. It has quite a lot of traffic at the weekend.
2. The single beds are fine for children /teenagers but our two grown-up chaps found them a tadge on the small side
3. We found the kitchen had plenty of crockery, cutlery etc., but lacked a few things that we would have found helpful such as an electric kettle, a microvwave, and a couple of smaller size pans. (We could have made Jam or cooked a whole salmon but when we wanted to use two small pans at the same time it wasn't possible) also we wanted to beat eggs for omelettes one night and ended up beating them in a storage container!
We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Andreina A. The view was stunning. The property was spacious and very clean and tastefully decorated. We had easy access by foot to the local town which was a real bonus. There was quite a bit of passing traffic up and down to the beach but this did not bother us very much.
The manager of the property was very helpful.
We are pleased with the service provided by Summer In Italy.
Casa Andreina A was a fabulous apartment for our family and we absolutely loved the terrace and the view - unbeatable. The accommodation was perfect for us and a great size, lots of space indoors and outside.
Renato [the caretaker] meeting us and explaining things about the apartment was much nicer than just turning up at a place with keys. He was very friendly and made sure we knew that we could contact him at any time if we needed anything. He is a lovely man and extremely helpful.
I found your site quite by accident and decided to book with you as you seemed to be knowledgeable about the area. I am so glad we did as the service we have had from you has been fantastic. We had a super holiday and when we return to Italy we will definitely come back to you to find a property. Very, very impressed with your service, communication and friendliness. Thank you!
This apartment although a little basic furniture wise is a jewel. The panoramic terrace has breathtaking views from Vesuvius to Capri. Vico Equense is a small, enchanting, unspoilt town. Antico Bagno lido is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and is the perfect place to spend the day swimming in the crystal clear waters. Renato the apartment manager is incredibly helpful and cheerful.
The only downside is no air con or fans.
We loved it and will definitely book again.
This is a million dollar view!!!!
The terrace is huge! The access to the beach into about 1-2 min.
The caretaker Mr. Renato is a very helpful and kind man, he gave us a lot of advices and tips.
We would definitely return.
Summer In Italy did a wonderful job! I will recommend you to my friends!!!
Casa Andreina A is a lovely and spacious apartment, with a fabulous large outside terrace.
The view is wonderful, and this is the best feature of the apartment. It was mostly peaceful, though there was more traffic on the small road just outside than we expected in the evening (going to and from the marina).
It's a bit of a trek uphill to the town centre on a windy road (cobblestones road pavement, no sidewalk), but the location makes up for that, given the wonderful views of Vesuvius across the Bay of Naples.
The caretaker visited us during the week to check everything was okay and he was so nice that picked up us at the station on arrival.
We've booked with Summer In Italy before, when we stayed on the Amalfi Coast six years ago (in Ravello) - we've always been very happy with the apartments and the booking process.
