Truly a unique, quiet and wonderful location. It meets all the descriptions and more. Just 257 steps (that's nothing) up from Town and a panoramic view including the ferry boat docks below (bring binoculars). The spacious front deck was very clean with very comfortable sitting and napping. Well furnished kitchen making home meals easy and fun and the washer was a gift of the heavens . House keeper Maria is sweet and worked hard to help us (we need to work on our Italian). The bedrooms were simple, comfortable and spacious. Simple checkin meeting with Maria at Cafe Positano but a bit of a walkdown from the first Positano SITA bus stop above. At the Sorrento SITA bus station be sure to ask for a one-way and not the more expensive round trip. DO NOT DRIVE A CAR HERE... No place to park and you'll get dinged for sure. Nice market in Town for food, drinks and wine (resturants were $$$). Be sure to take a shared boat to Capri and not the cattle haul ferry. Great fun, drinks and freedom on the trip and right at the Town dock, well worth it. For good exercise, hike up to the Hole in the Wall but get good directions. Again spectacular views and a good workout (millions of steps). The Town beach is fine but the adjacent beach at Fornillo (to the west along the cliff walk) is the best. Great swimming and views. Best to ferry to Almalfi and avoid the crowded and slow SITA bus. The ferry to Salerno and train to Rome was easy and cheap (got the Sunday 2 for 1 for $29 Euro's total).
We'd love to come back and recommend it to all.
My husband and I spent 5 days at this villa, and they were perfect! It was our first time in Positano and we couldn't have chosen a better location. You are right in the middle of Positano! Just a few minutes walk to the beach and shops and market and AMAZING restaurants! The house was very clean. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was modern and had a coffee maker, wine glasses and wine opener, which we used everyday! By far the best part of this house is the huge deck. There's really no need to go inside with that view. The owner doesn't speak English. So we had our driver call her when we were getting close (highly recommend getting a driver if you don't speak Italian). Other than that the stay was seamless! We will absolutely be back!
