Villa Arcangela A and B are two apartments that are part of a medieval building, that used to be an ancient Saracen watch tower. It is placed high up on a picturesque tract of rocky coast, at a height of approximately 100 meters (330 feet) above the sea level, and almost sheer above the sea itself. Every view of the seascape in this area is truly breathtaking.
The building is part of a bunch of ancient houses that cling to the top of a rocky spur, all facing the sea and the sun, and surrounded by lemon growths. Here the authentic locals of Amalfi live their life, with its quiet rhythm, and there is no crowd of tourists.
You will reach it walking uphill for approximately 20 meters (20 yards) along a short pedestrian alley. Once beyond the main door, you will find yourself in a small yard, closed on three sides by white walls, and open on the fourth side on a spectacular view of the coast and of the sea.
The terrace is 80 square meters (860 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a characteristic pergola with a bamboo roof. It is equipped with tables, chairs and two sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi.
The living room is paved with handmade tiles, in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast. The furnishings are cozy and comfortable. The furnishings include two armchairs and a divan bed for one guest. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer and an Italian-style coffee-maker. There is also a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door. The room has two windows with a view of the sea and of the terrace. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the living room. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door.
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the living room. The ceiling has characteristic exposed wood beams. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a view of the sea.
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.
