Olympic Peninsula House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

You feel as though you are stepping into another era when you walk through the door - except for for all the modern conveniences. Originally built in 1908, with soaring ceilings, beautiful moldings, original hardwood floors, this home is reminiscent of the past, while completely modern and appointed with new furnishings and appliances.

Located near the center of town on a quiet street in a lovely, friendly neighborhood. Walk to the coffee shop, grocery store, downtown area!

Enjoy sitting outside on lovely summer days on the large fenced in patio appointed with table, chairs, umbrella. Cook up a feast on the propane grill and enjoy dining 'al fresco'!

The home has been renovated with new paint, appliances, hardware, etc. The three generously sized bedrooms have queen beds and are handsomely appointed. Open, cheery kitchen with all the cookware and utensils you require. Large two car garage and plenty of parking.

Upstairs master has a beautiful mountain view and balcony. The other upstairs bedroom has a peek-a-boo view of the Strait. Bedroom on first level is perfect for those who have difficulty with stairs.

Home was purchased in 2008 and is fully furnished and appointed. New improvements are added every year.

I pride myself on providing a lovely, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, immaculately clean home where guests can enjoy their much deserved vacations. If there is anything that needs to be attended to during your stay, or if you would rate the home any less than 5 out of 5 stars - contact me immediately and I will attend to any issues.

I have managed and owned bed and breakfast accommodations and vacation rentals for over 10 years. It is always my goal to provide guests with the best experience possible - exceeding expectations and providing 'little extras'. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me with any questions you might have regarding this rental. I look forward to hosting you!!

About Janelle Martinson

I was born and raised in Alaska. When my father retired here in Port Angeles I frequently came to visit. I fell in love with Port Angeles (and grew weary of the long, cold Alaska winters!). I also fell in love with this home. I come down in the winters and enjoy this charming home. I hope you do too!

Janelle Martinson purchased this house in 2008

Why Janelle Martinson chose Olympic Peninsula

I love the small town nature of Port Angeles, being close to the water, hiking trails, and the friendly people here. Port Angeles appealed to me due to the friendly, quiet, peaceful nature of the town and surrounding area. Life seems to slow down here. The town is quaint, the setting gorgeous, with lots of activities to enjoy.

After looking at homes for almost a year, I chose this one - for it's location, for the fact that it was an older home with so much charm, because it had three bedrooms each which had its own appeal, because it had 1.5 baths (many of the older homes here have three bedrooms and one bath), and it was on a quiet street with homes that showed pride of ownership.

What makes this house unique

I love the 'feel' of this old home, while enjoying the modern amenities. The neighbors are friendly; we wave and greet each other everyday. I love being able to walk to my gym, the store, downtown, the marina, the farmer's market, and to various events held in town. Never having lived within city limits, it's nice to be close to all it has to offer. Shortly after purchasing the home, I had a beautiful fence installed around the patio. Now the patio feels like an extension of the house and it's my favorite place to be on nice days. I love to garden and grow vegetables. Guests are welcome to harvest herbs and vegetables that are ready for harvesting!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Enjoyed beautiful weather as we hiked trails on Hurricane Ridge. Now we are off to the rain forest. We loved the house - perfect for the three of us.

Perfect Victorian Vacaton house

  • 5 of 5

All our of us had a wonderful time staying in this Victorian house in Port Angeles. The location was perfect for our three-day exploration of the Olympic National Park area. The house was really special and extremely well equipped. The owner personally met with us upon arrival, helped us get acquainted with the property, and was very friendly and welcoming. We were so impressed with the house that we are planning to let family and friends know about this gem so they can add it to their travel plans.

Very nice location, easy parking, and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped- we cooked thanksgiving dinner there with no problems. Will definitely pick this house again when I'm in the area.

Lovely home, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We come to Port Angeles annually for the Crab Festival and were so please to be able to stay at Janelle's wonderful house for this visit.

The house is located close to everything - grocery stores, restaurants and downtown. The house has 3 spacious and comfortable bedrooms and the 1 1/2 bathrooms worked out great for the 4 of us. If you are a chef, this is the house for you. The kitchen is well stocked with every type of cooking equipment one would need to make a gourmet dinner, which we took full advantage of. Dinner was made even more special with the fireplace located right in the dining room! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Great location and very well equipped

  • 5 of 5

A delightful house, immaculately clean and tidy, with imaginative decor, (loved the poppy pictures in every room!), many original 100+ year-old features but ever modern convenience. We have stayed in many vacation rentals, over the years and none has had such a well-equipped kitchen - right down to the cooks apron - a first! The location is perfect for exploring the Olympic National Park and Peninsula. Our stay was too short to do justice to the area, and we would certainly return to Janelle's house. Janelle herself greeted us with a tour of the house, helpful suggestions as to what to see, and a basket of fresh pears from her tree in the pretty, sheltered courtyard. Thank you for allowing us to share your lovely home.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely house was perfect for our family. We completely felt at home with our 4 children (ages 9, 8, 4, and 18 months.) The bedrooms were cozy, the yard and patio inviting, and the kitchen was so well stocked and organized that I reorganized mine when we got home! The location was ideal for our day trips into Olympic National Park and it was so nice to come "home" each night. We can't overstate how much we enjoyed our week here. The owner was very pleasant and helpful as well. We would highly recommend this rental.
