My chalet is a comfy and affordable 2 story A frame cabin, minutes from everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer, including the Heavenly Ski Resort, shops, casinos, and the beautiful lake.

Bring the family. There are three bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom has a king size bed and television. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed each. There is also a loft with a full sized futon. The house is over 1400 sq. feet. Fido a part of the family? Bring him too. There is an enclosed backyard so the kids and the pets can run around.

My home comes equipped with a foosball table and lots of boardgames for family bonding or those rare rainy days. There is also wireless internet.

Why Barbara chose South Lake Tahoe

When I was growing up in Southern California my family vacationed most summers in Big Bear. It would include my grandparents, my parents, my brother and I, and of course our dogs. Since moving to northern California my husband and I began meeting his family in the Tahoe area every winter. I also just love skiing during the winter, hiking along the beautiful trails and lounging by the lake during summer. We are always excited to visit the Tahoe area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The cabin was so cozy and great for entertaining everyone with all the games. The kids loved the yard with all the places to play and build snow men! There was plenty of room to sleep and fit the whole family. We had fun!

Extrememly roomy!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was SO roomy and spacious! We had 7 people and a dog, and the cabin still had room to spare! It was also conveniently located to many attractions such as a park where you can take your dog, the lake, and the casinoes. Excellent cabin for the prices! We'll definitely be staying here again in the future!

Owner's Response: I am glad you had a wonderful time in my cabin. I think the comment I get most from guests is that my cabin looks small from the outside, but is very roomy on the inside.

Very convenient location

  • 3 of 5

We had a great time at this cabin. It was close to everything we wanted to do and lots of space to spread out. Although not a big cabin, the owner is smart by putting multiple beds in each of the 3 bedrooms. The loft is a bonus for sure! That was a perfect spot for my 17 year old son. The only problem was that the weeds were over 2 feet high in both the front and back yards. We never got to use the picnic table in the backyard as the whole yard was full of weeds and the front yard the same. Disappointing to pull up to after arriving all the way from San Diego. Very glad we did not bring a dog as there was no way we could of let it roam in the backyard without getting full of stickers. High fire season right now for sure. We are not sure why this problem has been overlooked. Otherwise, a great cabin.

Centrally located!

  • 3 of 5

The property was fairly old but fairly well maintained. It seemed to have been cleaned in a rush when we had arrived, e.g dirty dishes in the dish washer and random paper towels under the bed. The towels, linens and amenities were a bit old, e.g scratched and deformed pans. However, the place was very centrally located, and we loved the enclosed backyard for our dog to romp around in.

Fantastic stay in Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time booking a cabin and I had a great experience with Barbara. I loved that she also allows dogs because I always have a hard time finding places that are pet friendly since I love taking my dogs everywhere. She was very responsive to all my questions and gave very detailed instructions on checking in and what we needed to do while staying in her home. The cabin itself was very spacious. We had 4 people and 2 dogs and there was more than enough room for everyone. There were plenty of utensils for us to cook our meals, beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean. There was a big storm one night and a few inches of snow came that morning and someone was there to shovel the snow on the porch and driveway so there was no problem for me to drive out. My dogs also loved the enclosed yard, especially with the fresh snow. I didn't even need to take them for a walk or to the park because they ran around so much themselves. I would love to stay there again on our next trip!

We LOVE this dog friendly cabin rental!

  • 5 of 5

My family from Hawaii came here to enjoy the snow. We (5 adults, 2 little kids and 2 dogs) stayed here 3 nights. Thank you so much for allowing our dogs to join in the family fun! This was a great vacation spot! Love the quiet neighborhood! Nice location. Gluten free (and organic) pizza just down the road. This rental was easy to find. We were all so comfy and cozy! Everything was exactly as described and exactly as in the photos. The kitchen was wonderful. I even baked a cake! Loved the gas fireplace and fenced in back yard. We will be doing this again soon! Many thanks!

Cute & cozy. Really enjoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of eight and our large dog really enjoyed the cabin. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We want to return in the summer to enjoy the bbq and the fenced backyard for our dog. The location was also great. Can't wait to come back.

Map

Car: recommended

My chalet is located in a small neighborhood in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. It is about 2.5 miles from the Heavenly Ski Resort. The lake is just over 1.5 miles. Great if you decide to take the bike path to the lake during the summer or if you would like to take a nice walk. And of course the casinos and movie theaters are less than 4 miles away.

The Neighborhood:

My neighborhood is in small residential area of mostly A-frame style mountain homes. There is a large meadow a block away that is great for walks. Bijou Community Park is two small blocks away. It is most famous for its world class 27 hole championship disc golf course. At the park there is also a Dog Park, fitness trail, skateboard park, children’s playground, group picnic facilities, and an open meadow. Just past the Bijou Community Park is the Bijou Municipal Golf course, the Bowling Alley, the Ice skating rink, and pool.

Other Activities: Ice skating, bowling, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, gambling
