About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Tahoebliss is a charming and luxe two-bedroom and two-bath cottage on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Experience Old Tahoe style with big-city amenities such as plush bedding, cable TV, and high-speed wireless Internet.

Our elegantly appointed Tahoma retreat is within several minutes of the lake, mountains, and ski resorts. A private white sand beach and charming, fully stocked country store are both within walking distance. Homewood Ski Resort is just three miles away. And some of Tahoe's best cross-country skiing is down the road.

Tahoe bliss is a perfect place to rest and relax-- whether you're coming for a romantic weekend retreat, a 'girls-only getaway,' or a long family vacation.

In the summer our renters have access to use our homeowners bouy for their boat. In the winter, our street is one of the first to be plowed during major snow storms. We have a flat driveway and we contract with a snow plow service so the driveway is always plowed whenever there is a few inches of snow.

If you have a boat, we offer buoy rentals at our homeowners beach that is just a short walk from the house. The rate is a very affordable $25 a day.

About The Owner

We're both former daily journalists. We love to hike and bike at Tahoe. We also love sharing our piece of Tahoe with others and making sure they have a great time while they are staying at Tahoebliss.

The Owner purchased this house in 2007

Why The Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

It is close to everything that you would want to do at Tahoe. But at the same time, when you are at the house, it's quiet and peaceful. The area we are at is like stepping back in time with small restaurants, diners and markets nearby. It's a world away from the South Shore. You can also get everywhere on your bike since the west shore bike bath is just down the road.

Great Stay-We will be back to stay longer!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay. The house was super comfortable, in a great location, and the whole process was seamless and easy. We would have happily stayed for a few more days of we could have! We really appreciated the hosts' recommendations for hikes and restaurants.

Wonderful Tahoe House

  • 5 of 5

Eric and Rhea's place was just wonderful. My family and I had a great time in Tahoe and were so glad to have a nice place to unwind after long days of playing in the snow. The location is very convenient, yet private. Eric and Rhea have thought of everything. They lay out all the instructions elegantly as gentle reminders. It is definitely a place I would recommend staying if you're looking for a nice place to cozy up with the family.

We LOVED Tahoebliss!

  • 5 of 5

This cozy cottage is amazing and the photos are not doing it justice! The house was super clean and we were amazed how much Eric and Rhea thought through every detail of this home: comfortable beds, wifi access and what we LOVED: a lovely mountain-Tahoe-themed decor. Eric and Rhea were amazing hosts. Eric gave us clear and thorough information on our stay and activities in the surrounding area, which made our stay even more comfortable (we didn't spend any time googling or searching for where to go, what to do etc). The location is perfect: short walk away from local food spots and grocery shop and very short drive to ski or sled resorts. We had a blast and we will come back for sure! Thanks again Eric and Rhea

Great Experience!!!

  • 5 of 5

Great experience. Eric and Rhea were very helpful and always in touch when we wanted to ask something. They provided great information about local places to ski, eat out, buy groceries... The place is very cozy and it is only 5 min walk to the lake.

We had a wonderful time at Tahoebliss

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Tahoebliss. The location is perfect--it's away from the crowds but still close to everything you'll need. The house is beautifully maintained and super clean, beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the complimentary champagne was very much appreciated. We'll be back!

The house is beautifully decorated. Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We're repeat stayers at Tahoe bliss - the house is beautifully decorated and very easy to get to the lake or Homewood. The kids loved playing in the snow filled yard and sledding in Tahoe City (even in 2014!) and the fireplace / TV / WiFi filled out the exhausted evenings.

Car: recommended

There's a reason Tahoe locals call the West Shore, The Best Shore. Tahoebliss brings you back to a simpler time. Located in quaint Tahoma, you're far away from you daily routine but just a short drive to everything you need.

Meander along the bike trails hugging Tahoe's stunning shoreline. Sail on a catamaran to Tahoe's peerless Emerald Bay. Or visit the West Shore's heavily forested juniper and pine state parks for hiking and cross country skiing/snowshoeing. Drop into a small mountain diner, have a burger and a beer on an outdoor deck overlooking the lake, or dine on a five-star meal just down the road. Visit a farmers market or watch a movie in Tahoma's outdoor amphitheater. Tahoebliss is near both sandy beaches and ski resorts. And an easy drive takes you to the shops, bistros and conveniences of Tahoe City, and the casinos on the north and south shores.

Other Activities: Cross country Skiing/Boating
