Guestbook comments from the owner

This apartment was the perfect final stop during our trip to Italy. It was finished with beautiful artwork, and lovely amenities were everywhere! Our group of 4 women found it very comfortable and the absolute perfect location for all the must-sees in Florence. It was truly a delightful surprise. Maria and Rita were the best to work with. Thank you for making our visit in Florence even more special. We would love to return!

Florence at its Best

  • 5 of 5

We are well traveled and luxury hotels are the norm for us. Even with that background, this apartment impressed me more than even the best hotels in New York. A combination of great space, perfect location, and a luxurious décor is just the beginning. There was an element of professionalism that exceeded even my high expectations. Every detail was considered by these owners, yet it is oddly very affordable at the same time. If you double your prices, I’ll still be back. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. I have never had a better experience….anywhere. Brenda, North Carolina, USA

Owner's Response: Your review gratifies me so much because, beside my care in the things that can simplify the stay in Florence, I put my personal passion in the décor hoping to exite an emotion in the guest. Thank you very very much for your wonderful feedback, I really hope that you will come back soon!

Mia amore Ginori!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this glorious apartment for 6 nights with our student daughter. It was a joy!!! The decor in the apartment is lovely. The location is is quiet, yet easy to walk to all of the attractions in Florence...the plaza del Duomo, the Mercado, the museums, and the train station.

We had an evening of heavy rain during our visit that kept us indoors...

I made myself an expresso and I sat and enjoyed the art books and collection of music that belongs to the owner. We were very comfortable and entertained staying in during bad weather.

One of the coolest cafes I have ever seen is right next door to the apartment. I highly recommend La Menagere for breakfast, cocktails, food, and flowers! There are many amazing restaurants in the area.

The beds are very comfortable with lovely bed linens. The shower in the second bedroom has a nice shower with lots of hot water and great water pressure....something a girl with a lot of hair appreciates. The master bath has a nice jetted bathtub with a handheld shower feature.

The washer and dryer was very nice to use as well.

We all were able to work off all of the pasta and pizza that we enjoyed in Florence with the flights of stairs leading to the apartment. This is very typical for apartments in Florence...but, one should know that it can be difficult carrying heavy baggage up and down stairs. It may also be a problem for the elderly or someone with a disability.

We didn't mind the's all part of the charm of Florence!

I would absolutely stay in the Ginori Apartment again! I highly recommend it. The owner was very nice, speaks English and was very responsive....

I look forward to my next visit.

Great Accomadations & Service

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Ginori apartment. It was a great location in the center of the historic district; well appointed, spacious, cozy and quiet. There was lots of natural light with windows and French doors that open. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the small terrace surrounded with potted flowers & plants which we used frequently after returning home from full days exploring to recalibrate over a glass of wine. It was handy to have a great bakery/restaurant next door and also the option using the Nespresso machine in the apartment. The bathrooms were nicely updated with marble and the beds cozy! It was a nice touch to have some bath products available and kitchen staples as well. We loved the historical feel while enjoying the modern comforts. Rita was a gracious and accommodating host as she responded quickly to questions we had and took care of a couple minor issues that popped up. Rita also arranged a taxi for our very early morning departure to the airport. We felt we were in good hands! We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends.

What a perfect apartment for a family of 4. The master bedroom is a large size and very comfortable. Excellent linens and towels are provided, as well as small soaps and shampoo. For a noisy area in central Florence, the apartment was amazingly quiet at night. The second bedroom was perfect for our teenage kids; they happily shared the room, but each had their own nesting area and ample storage space.

My wife is a chef, and we were thrilled to be able to shop at both the San Lorenzo and Sant Ambrogio markets (somewhat like American farmer's markets) which offer a broad array of top quality fruits and vegetables, as well as amazing salumi and cheeses and breads. (Breads in Florence are not usually salted as Americans are accustomed to, but with some prosciutto and mozzarella or your preferred cheese, they are tasty).

Also great meats and fish.

Yes, the kitchen in the apartment is quite small, but everything works well and is updated. The adjacent dining area is very comfortable and a good gathering spot for meals, games, planning your day spreading out maps, etc. Also, we were fortunate to have ideal spring weather, and we were able to take advantage of the small terrace and enjoy lunch and cocktails there.

In addition, it should be noted that the apartment is well-provisioned with English guide books, art books, and maps.

The apartment also has a modern washer AND DRYER (not usual in Italy), so you can pack light and do a load or two of wash during your stay if inclined.

The location of the apartment is also ideal. It is situated just a block or so from the Duomo, which is such an impressive and imposing site. The San Lorenzo church complex is also around the corner, as is the Mercato Centrale market. The Palazzo Medici Riccardi is right next door and contains the amazing Magi Chapel by Benozzo Gozzoli (which should not be missed). In fact, all of the major sites in Florence are within a 20 minute walk of the apartment. It was a real pleasure not to have to use taxis or buses during our stay.

Tip: La Menagere restaurant/cafe/bistro/flower store is located next to the entrance of the building and is a great place to have a morning coffee and cornetto (croissant) plain or filled with Nutella, chocolate, jam... we found them to be the best in Florence.

Thank you Rita and Maria for making our stay on the Via Ginori a great success.

A wonderful ten days at Rita's lovely apartment.

  • 5 of 5

Rita's property is a gem with a wonderful location. The property is exactly as described. The bathrooms are brand new, modern, and beautiful. The Master bedroom is huge and the beds are all comfortable. My daughter came down with the flu on our last night there and we were fortunate that this apt was available for another three nights. Rita was helpful and accommodating and wonderful to work with. There are great restaurants near by and fantastic a bistro just outside the apartment door that we used quite often for coffee and the best desserts. If you are looking for a quiet apartment this is the one. The windows all overlook courtyards so there is literally no noise. The terrace is adorable and again quiet!

Clean and pretty with everything needed for a wonderful stay. We were there for ten days and would have stayed longer if we could! Rita had a taxi waiting for us upon our departure. First class all the way. Thank you Rita!!

Best apartment ever!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 couldn't have been happier staying at the Ginori apartment!! Out of five different apartments on our trip this was our very favorite. The pictures looked great online but I was shocked when we arrived because it was better than I could've hoped. The apartment is so big and everywhere you look is beautiful!

The bedrooms are very roomy and a good distance away from each other which was nice after being together so much. Master bedroom and bathroom are huge! After hours of touring we all enjoyed hanging out in the front room because there was such good seating and it was so pretty.

Two and a half bathrooms added to all the roominess as well and was so nice when we had five people trying to get ready at once. Kitchen area is the only small spot but we were only eating in for breakfast (toast, cereal and hot chocolate) and the dining room table is very large. Loved the washer and dryer to catch up on some laundry.

Ginori Apartment is in an incredible location and just a couple minutes walk to the Duomo & Baptistry. Loved walking by the Medici Palace every day and wonderful places to eat all around as well.

Can't say enough about this wonderful apartment and I hope to be back again soon! Ciao!!

The apartment is located in the heart of Florence: just next to Palazzo Medici Riccardi, at the corner San Lorenzo Church complex.

This is an area with a lot of shops, restaurants and grocery stores including the Central Market (Mercato Centrale).

It takes less than 5 minutes by walk to the Duomo, the Mercato Centrale and the Accademia Gallery, less than 10 minutes to the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio. Finally, it takes about 10 minutes by foot to reach the Santa Maria Novella railway station, the central and most important in Florence.

This excellent location will allow you to discover by walk our beautiful city and its historic centre, Unesco World Heritage since 1982, which is mostly a quiet pedestrian area.
