Overview

About the property

Self catering for 2 people with off road parking & garden.

The cosy, quirky accommodation is a converted Smithy dating back to the 1700s, with open planned living downstairs & a mezzanine in the roof space for sleeping. The accommodation benefits from off road parking & a garden with country views.

The kitchen area has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer & oven with touch control hob.

The dining/lounge adjoins, with 2 bars stools at the old work bench overlooking the valley - ideal for breakfast or a glass of wine, or both!

Up the stairs to the mezzanine where you can find the double bed to the right, & relaxed beanbags to the left where you can recline & watch a second TV. The mezzanine enjoys views across the valley also. (Please note the reduced head height in the mezzanine - it is not suitable for the elderly or disabled).

The garden has a picnic table where you can sit & enjoy the surroundings & view across the valley to St Endellion Church.

The property is located on a network of local footpaths & is a 10 minute walk from the village of Port Isaac, home of Martin Clunes hit TV series Doc Martin.

Please note we do not offer short breaks in Summer months, (May to September). Week long bookings have a FRIDAY changeover.

Check in is from 3pm & check out 10am.

Check out is at 10am.

Wonderful Historic Blacksmith Shop

  • 5 of 5

A great historic place to stay. Well done renovation with a beautiful view of the valley. A short walk or drive into Port Isaac with easy access from main roads. A lovely bottle of Prosecco welcomed us...thank you Richard! We would definitely stay again.

Great location, perfect for a couple!

  • 4 of 5

A truely relaxing escape away from everything! We enjoyed 4 nights in this beautiful cottage and had everything we needed. 20 mins walk from Port Issac which in itself is beautiful. The cottage was very well equipped and perfect for a romantic getaway! Just mind your heads upstairs 😊
