1st floor 60 sq metre , 1 bedroom (double bed measuring 150 x 200 cm) with separate bathroom and open plan living area this is a great base for visiting the area. Fully equipped and fitted kitchen, dining table can seat 6 and comfortable sofa and chair make relaxing here a treat. Situated behind the 16th century church, the apartment is furnished in a mix of antique and contemporary pieces. The bathroom is fully tiled with a walk-in shower, vanity basin and a washing machine in the cupboard. All bed linen (Egyptian cotton) and towels supplied for your visit. The separate bedroom has a large double bed and a wardrobe for clothing so ample place to unpack. Free wifi connection but no TV!

Perfect location, beautiful apartment

We have stayed in 6 VRBO's in France and Italy over the last two years, and this one is our favorite. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, and has a lot of extras we just haven't seen elsewhere: picnic blanket, straw hats and basket for shopping at the market, plus a fully equipped kitchen which would be ideal for a long term stay or just an enthusiastic cook. The apartment is located on the second floor (no lift) and stays cool even when the temps neared 90. We did not find the church bells bothersome at all, as another reviewer had mentioned, but we also kept the windows closed until sunset.

The free parking is a short walk away (3 mins); it's a public lot. We never had trouble finding a spot even at 1pm on Sunday (market day). If you have lots of luggage, you could pull right in front of the apartment to unload. We found it easier to simply walk with our rolling style bags.

Sandi, the owner, meets you at the apartment, is very friendly and helpful, and has a wealth of knowledge of the area. She provided us with restaurant and winery recommendations which made our stay even better.

I would highly recommend this town and specifically this apartment for either a short- or long-term stay in Provence.

L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue - great place and wonderful apartment

The owner, Sandi, was very delightful and helpful. The apartment is clean and large; the walk up of one flight is easy. Sandi provisioned the apartment with ground coffee and a bottle of Rose, both very much appreciated. The apartment is literally 10-15 ft. from the village church, which as one might expect, on the hour and half hour rings its bells to signal the time. Not a huge draw back by any stretch, but if the apartment windows are open, which we did each day and evening, the bells can be a little annoying, but certainly there is some charm to the bells and not a reason to skip this location. From a location standpoint, you will have access to everything in the village center ( shops and restaurants) within a 5-7 minute walk. A large public parking lot, which is the place to park, is within a 5 minute walk and easy access to the apartment with luggage ( even if your girlfriend over-packed and you serve as her Sherpa, as I did). I highly recommend Sandi's apartment!

Incredible apartment in the heart of the village.

We had a fantastic time in this amazing flat. It's open and spacious and clean, very tastefully decorated, the back windows open onto a small branch of the river and the church, and it can't be in a better location. The space has just been renovated, and combines modern comforts (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) with beautiful old French furniture and decor, undoubtedly sourced from all the local brocantes that are found in town.

There are plenty of shops and bakeries and restaurant/bars only minutes from the front door so we weren't lacking for anything during our stay. While only steps away from the main square near the church, the apartment is quiet and allows for a relaxing evening after a day of exploring the area. The little village is adorable and is great for either walking around and shopping for antiques, or just sitting riverside with a book and glass of rosé.

Sandi was very helpful during the booking process and leading up to our stay. She was available by email and phone and met us at the apartment to show us around and gave us some tips for the area. We appreciated the welcome and would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone planning a trip to Provence.

Fantastic apartment in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

My wife and I had an amazing stay in this beautiful apartment in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Sandi met us at the train station and we walked through the beautiful town to the apartment. The apartment had been recently renovated and, without exaggeration, it was perfect. It was in the heart of the town and within walking distance of everything. From the incredibly well equipped kitchen, the beautiful bathroom, the amazing antiques and to the fine sheets on the bed, there was nothing that was missing. The property was very clean and Sandi was always on hand to provide us with any information we required about favorite restaurants, places to visit and anything else we might be needing. We truly had a wonderful visit in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The Sunday market was a highlight, as well as visiting the many antique stores and renting bikes to tour the countryside. There are more than enough great restaurants to choose from, as well as an abundance of great French patisseries/ coffee/gelato/ wine bars to keep you well fed and hydrated. We would highly recommend Sand's apartment and hope to return some day. Very fond memories! Thank you Sandi.
