Manuel Antonio Villa Rental Photos and Description

Upper unit is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 4

Chaman is a private community in a secluded area just minutes from the unique little town of Quepos and world famous Manuel Antonio National Park. Our Villa Chaman 6 is nestled one block off the main road in a rain-forest setting, surrounded by dense jungle in an oasis of nature and beauty. Here, you will find privacy and tranquility, without feeling isolated.

Why stay in a hotel room, when for the same price, you can have a whole Costa Rica villa rental, in the rain-forest with a large pool and jacuzzi, just steps from our door. Wake up to the sounds of the Titi monkeys searching for food in the trees. Owls, sloths, iguaan,s butterflies, hummingbirds and an array of exotic birds can be observed while lounging by the pool or soaking in the turbulence of the whirlpool.

This unit has a living room, fully equipped kitchen, upper balcony, access to laundry room, telephone, cable tv, wifi, air conditioning in master bedroom and living room, and every room has a ceiling fan.

Suitability:
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only
  • pets not allowed
  • wheelchair inaccessible

Guestbook comments from the owner

Having a warm time at Villa Chaman 6. We are in the pool all the time if not at the beach. Went to the Vanilla Farm and saw so many wonderful spices. Tomorrow Manuel Antonio National Park. We are off exploring new restaurants every day, we only make coffee in the villa :) Thank you for having us enjoy Villa Chaman 6 "Just Another Day in Paradise'

Best vacation in years!

  • 5 of 5

The property is secluded, beautiful and enchanting. Accommodations are complete with a full kitchen, two bathrooms, air conditioning and cable TV. Wake up to monkeys scurrying across the roof. Want to go zip-lining or river rafting in the jungle? They pick you up at the front gate. Got 60 cents for a bus ride? The beach and Manuel Antonio National Park are just ten minutes away. Para-sailing anyone? Back to the Villa for a swim and a shower, then a dinner cruise on a catamaran. It really doesn't get much better. Jerry and Coco, Reno, NV.

PURA VIDA 🙉🙈🙊

  • 5 of 5

Villa Chaman 6 is just what we were looking for. The Villa is clean, comfy, and so charming. The pool is the perfect spot for "ti ti" ( monkey) watching. The villa is nestled in the lush tropical jingle. What a way to "chill-out" and relax. Manuel Antonio beach is a short local bus ride down the mountain. Great way to meet the locals and other travelers. The restaurants on the mountain have delicious food and breathtaking views. We had a good time going into Quepos for shopping, eating, and checking out the local market on the weekend for fresh friuts & veggies, local foods, and handmade treasures. We've already booked the Villa to come back. We feel rejuvenated, relaxed, and have great memories and pics. Thank you. As the locals say.PURA VIDA🙉🙊🙈

Too much cigar smoke

  • 3 of 5

We came here due to a referral from a trusted friend. She must not have been here when the owners were there. Bed and Larry are very nice, but Larry would smoke his cigars, and you needed to have every fan on just to get rid of the smoke. We didn't spend much time there. The pool was nice, but they turned off the jacuzzi at 6 pm. I think the jacuzzi should have warm water. We had to remove the plastic mattress pad so the bed wouldn't be so hot. We had to tell the manager to fix several things, although they were minor. I also didn't like all the keys we had to use just ti get into the place. We will probably pick smomeplace further south next time.

Owner's Response: We thank the tenants for their candid response. Outside smoking, only, is allowed at all the villas. Nothing was mentioned about the smoking and we surely would have complied with their wishes, and, the tenants were away on tours every day. AC was also available (could have been set to just clear any smells, not just to cool). Tenants, from time to time, tend to break things, or re-adjust and not tell you, such as the shower head in one of the bathrooms not being to their liking (which was mentioned to us). And individuals all have their personal likes, such as the mattress pad, of which there was another type available in the closet next to the bed. We go through the villa and check switches, tighten faucet handles, replace light bulbs, touch up painted surfaces, make sure the wall safe is working, replace broken dishes, missing silverware and provide a free package of coffee, and generally try to make sure everything is working, but it is impossible to catch it all. It is a whirlpool and not a jacuzzi. This area is a tropical rainforest and a hot jacuzzi is the last thing tenants want. It shuts off when the pool filter pump shuts down for the night, making for a very tranquil nighttime swim. Keys are for your protection. This is a safe and secure gated condominium. There are keys for the front gate and your villa. It's up to you whether you lock your doors or not. Simple solution, leave keys behind which you do not want to use. Pura Vida, Larry & Bev

Paradise in the Rainforest

  • 4 of 5

This is the second time staying at Villa Chaman and it was everything I had hoped for and more! Very serene and quiet with the large balcony looking straight into the rainforest where we had both Capuchin and Squirrel Monkeys come to the balcony as well as spotting a mother sloth carrying a young offspring, Red Macaw Parrots as well as various other birds and Iguanas from the balcony or the pool. We did not even need a car, taking the local bus and taxis was easy as the bus stopped at the end of the road and takes you straight to the beach or the town center. We went Parasailing and White water rafting, which were both incredible experiences I highly recommend. Larry was very helpful giving us advice on trips we could take and any issues were quickly resolved as the kind manager Pia lived in one of the other houses and helped us whenever we needed it. The pool was usually free for our private use as there are only a few houses in the community. I would love sitting on the edge of the pool gazing into the forest trying to spot the nature all around.

Welcome to the jungle!!! 🙈🙉🙊

  • 5 of 5

wow......what a fantastic get-a-way!!! When we flew over the Pacific Ocean on Sanza Airlines and saw the breathtaking view, we knew we were going to have an amazing 7 days in beautiful Manuel Antonio, CR. The villa was just what we imagined. Snuggled in a beautiful jungle surrounding we had our little spot of paradise. The spacious living room has sliding glass doors that opened to the balcony which gave us views of the jungle, pool, and other charming villas on the property. My favorite thing was having "happy hour" by the pool at 4:00pm which is when the monkeys jumped from tree to tree in the jungles. We got close up pics of mother and baby monkeys. The highlight of our stay. We shopped for groceries in Quepos which was a adventurous walk away. Pineapples are $1.00 which made our piña coladas just perfect when lounging by the pool and jacuzzi. The villa was very clean, furnished with everything we needed, and was absolutely charming. The beds were super comfy. The nightly sounds coming from the jungle made falling asleep so tranquil and peaceful. (No big city sounds here). Being surrounded by a beautiful, lush, tropical jungle was so relaxing. Manuel Antonio National park and beach was a adventurous bus ride down the winding mountain road. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The local fare in surrounding restaurants....delicious and very reasonable. This area has something for everyone. Either relax the days away at Villa Chaman or get adventurous and explore the beautiful jungle wilderness. We are definitely going back. Thanks for making this the perfect......get-a-way!

Just what we were looking for!

  • 5 of 5

Thought I had made a review back in September, but something must have happened. Anyway, stayed at Villa for 5 nights in August 2014. We are a family of 4 who were looking for our own place to spread out and relax, cooking most of our own meals after 5 days in hotels. This was perfect!! Owners were very quick to respond to emails and questions. We were the only guests in the area, except the property manager, who was very helpful when we needed her. Great pool, beautiful surroundings and easy access to the bus, Quepos and Manuel Antonio. We saw sloths and many types of lizards on the property, but unfortunately for us, no monkeys!! Great place to relax on the porch in early morning and when it was raining. Rooms were very comfortable for sleeping and it was nice to have laundry facilities if we needed it. The only minor problem that I remember was a coffee maker that needed some work to get the drip to start, but other than that, everything was great. Would definitely recommend!!
