This is a truly hidden gem situated in a quiet Edwardian square, with free parking and is ideally located within walking distance of Manchester centre or a short stroll to the bus stop or train station which provide frequent forms of transport into the city. This 2 bedroom house is fully furnished to the highest standard with no detail compromised. If only 2 people are staying please inform us if the second bedroom is to be used. Large bathroom with a roll top bath & separate large rain shower.                                                   Would highly recommend a stay in this lovely house, very comfortable, everything you needed was provided. Easy parking, free WiFi, house manual explaining everything and advice on what to see. Beautifully decorated and maintained. Easy access to Manchester City and Salford Quays by bus from just outside the house. Explored Peel park which is being renovated with children's play area, Northern Quarter, city centre, Science Museum, Imperial War Museum, The Lowry and outside Media City is the Blue Peter garden and shops, cafes and restaurants.                                                   A very good couple of days of Christmas shopping with this little gem as our base. Quietly located off the beaten track and with all home comforts you could need. Ideally located for good public transport links (train or bus).

                                                  Lovely place!

                                                  The house is so nicely decorated, clean and luxury. The location is excellent. I suggest getting to know the history of Salford - it is very interesting! I also suggest hiking on Peak District. Many beautiful paths can be reached by car or train. I can warmly recommend this house!

                                                  Great Flat, Great Location, Very well appointed

                                                  Excellent rental, had a fabulous stay. Very close to the train station and bus stops. The house is very comfortable and very well furnished. Will definitely go back and rent the flat again!

                                                  We spent 4 nights here. Great quiet square with parking. The house is wonderful well epuipped and well renovated. The garden is lovely. Yvonne easy to contact and helpful. The property is close to public transport especially the train and buses. The only negative for us was that we found the bed too firm although some people might like a firm mattress.

                                                  Cosy base to explore Manchester

                                                  I really felt like it was my home away from home to explore Manchester. It had everything I needed in a neat comfortable place when you're thousands of miles away from home like I was. The house is situated in a square tucked away from the main road, so there is a pleasing sense of returning to a retreat after a long day out. Everything was clean and functional although the heating could have stayed on longer at night for me, and a few exposed floorboards on the ground level squeaked excessively. Part of the charm of the place! Overall, I would have no hesitation in going back to stay if I revisit Manchester and commend Yvonne in providing a very well-run property that is good value for money.

                                                  Address is:- 17 Fire Station Square, Manchester, M5 4NZ DRIVING DIRECTIONS:-The square is tucked away off Christchurch Avenue. There are three ways of approaching:- 1) Coming from Manchester along the A6 (The Crescent) pass the entrance of Salford university on the right and take the next left across a bus lane - University Road West. Then left again - Christchurch Ave - follow the road round into the square at the end. 2) Coming from the opposite direction along the A6 (Broad Street) - MacDonalds in on your right and Salford Crescent Train Station on you left, turn left immediately behind the station, - University Road - this road drops down to a roundabout. Take first exit and double back on yourself under the road. Turn first right onto Christchurch Ave and Fire Station Sq is at the end. 3) You could approach the traffic lights at the end of Albion Way which meets the A6, with MacDonalds on your left corner. Bear right and go sort of straight across and take the road immediately behind Salford Crescent Train Station, down to a roundabout. Take first exit and double back on yourself under the road. Turn first right onto Christchurch Ave and Fire Station Sq is at the end. WALKING from train station or bus stop:- From Piccadilly Train Station there is a direct train to Salford Crescent at regular times and takes 9 mins. It is a short stroll to my place. Walk out of the station and turn left, walk down the road to the front of Salford University and Salford Museum and Art Gallery. Cross the road using the crossing and walk directly across Crescent square, which has a fountain (might not be working) and in the corner there is a large arch which is the pedestrian entrance into Fire Station Sq. There are regular buses that stop outside the university (Crescent Square) so follow the instructions above.
