Welcome to Casa La Mar, where 'Mi Casa es su Casa' is taken to heart.

This lovely three bedroom, two and a half bath home, is situated on Marine Terrace, one block East of the water, and a short distance from the trail head to the Ranch. You can hear Seals barking, waves crashing and watch the sun set on the horizon, while your worries melt away. Soak in the hot tub on the deck to add to your relaxation. A large high definition TV is in the living room. A computer with internet, as well as a wireless connection, are available. The bedrooms have a king and a queen, a trundle bed in the office, and a sofa sleeper in the living room, enough to accommodate up to 8 guests. It is spacious enough for a group of eight, yet cozy enough for a quiet romantic getaway for two. Pets are welcome.

Great home in a great location!

This is a beautiful home in every way. It's nicely furnished and has a very well-stocked kitchen. The deck is comfortable, and the dining room table is beautiful for dinner seating. The home is located in a gorgeous neighborhood full of architecturally unique homes. It is a short walk to the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve trailhead, with a lovely blufftop walk. Dogs are allowed on this walk as well, and if you veer to the trails further away from the ocean, dogs can be off-leash. This home is on the opposite side of the ranch from Moonstone Beach, where most of the Cambria tourists stay. It's a little quieter. I have stayed on both sides and prefer it here. This is one of the nicest vacation rentals I've ever rented.

Awesome vacation

This was our second trip to Casa La Mar by the Sea. Absolutely LOVE this home. A perfect setup with the living room and kitchen area so open. Nice and roomy including the bedrooms. Lots of amenities.

Great location. Nice walks to the ocean.

The homeowners graciously allow pets in the home. Our little Frenchie loves the place.

Family of 4 plus 3

We were looking for a home off the beaten trail for a quiet, family vacation with our two teenaged boys and 3 of their friends that also would allow our small Maltese dogs. This home definitely fit the bill with excellent views of the water over the homes to the west and only one block from the ocean. My wife and I opened our bedroom windows and listed to the ocean nightly fondly thinking of the 100+ degree temperatures we left in the Central California Valley to come to mid 60 degrees temperatures in mid July.

The home has a great hot tub and propane BBQ on the deck which we used several nights. The home is well equipped with utensils, dishes, and even quite a bit of cooking supplies (spices, foil, etc.) and some things in the fridge.

When we arrived, we pointed the teens towards the beach and told them to come back when they were hungry or thirsty. They had a blast! The location is ideal for walking and exploring Marine Terrace.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that we returned in March 2013.

Definitely two thumbs up from us.

2nd Time at This Property

This is the 2nd time we have rented this property. The 1st was last summer when we stayed a week with our two teenaged sons and 3 of their friends. We had such a great time last summer that when my spouse needed a weekend away, we immediately booked this property.

The only snafu this time was that the spa had been drained and the property management company forgot to refill it before we arrive so we could not use it the first night. They did send their guy the next morning to make sure it was in working order, but they did not even offer any compensation for the problem which was disappointing.

The house is very well equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans and dishes though some of the dishes need attention as there are chips especially on the glasses.

The house is ideally situated for walking to the beach, Lampton Cliffs Park, Fiscalini Ranch trails, and to see the deer herd on the California University Ecosystem area just south of Lampton Cliffs Park.

The home has Wifi on the bottom floor that covers the main floor pretty well and a very nice TV/DVD/ surround sound system.

If you are looking for a relaxing, safe, stress free, quiet place to rest and relax, this is definitely the place as the tourist traffic of Moonstone Beach and Main St. rarely find this home.

The home is pet friendly; however, the yard is not fenced, so only small house dogs are practical.

We will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic Vacation Rental

We just returned from a family vacation in Cambria and loved this house. We had 5 people plus a baby and our dog and had PLENTY of room. The pictures don't even come close to showing how spacious this house is. It has a huge living room with a very open floor plan and a huge master bedroom. The layout is perfect and the home is very well maintained. It's proximity to the Fiscalini Ranch walking trails was perfect. We will plan on returning to this house in the future and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Cambria.
