My husband, son and I stayed 3 nights over Labor Day Weekend. I happened across this place on VRBO after my husband dropped the ball and had not booked a place the night before we were to leave. Upon finding out that it was only 1 mile from park we immediately booked it. When we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised to find a very nicely done new 2 story Cabin that was spacious and well decorated. Everything was very cleaned and looked brand new. We were greeted with wine and homemade cookies. While we were there it was very quite with only one other couple staying at the lodge. There was an outside fire pit a beautiful patio with a lingo pong table. I'm telling you no hotel in the area could match the setting. Plus so close to the park, which we hiked all day, each day. The owners could not be any nicer and extremely responsive to request. If you want an excellent place to stay this is it.
My wife & 2 adult children stayed here for 3 nights in July, 2015 and were thrilled with the accommodations! There are 2 rooms available in a lodge that (used to?) house a restaurant upstairs. We stayed in the lower level room which had a King bedroom & another bedroom with Queen bed & bunk beds. There is also a large family room where we hung out each night after hiking in the park all day. Juanita took excellent care of us and even baked us huckleberry brownies & a Huckleberry Buckle cake which we loved! The lodge is within a mile of the GNP entrance & restaurants in West Glacier. Thanks for a wonderful place to call home for those 3 days!
My husband, our son, and I spent 6 wonderful days and nights with this property as our "home base" in the west Glacier National Park area. The accommodations were prefect for us and would be fine for a family with more children or two couples. It is very close to the west gate of Glacier National Park with abundant outdoor activities. The owner and staff were most helpful and made us feel right at home
My husband and I stayed at Heavens Peak for a week Sept 2010.
We found the accomodations perfect for our needs. The bedroom was particularly comfortable.
Our hosts were AWESOME! Made us feel like old friends.
The Lodge is close and convieniet to all things Glacier.
The Bistro restaurant was perfect after a long day roaming around Glacier National park, convenient and a good value.
Be warned there is no TV. We found we didnt need it. I did use my netbook alot in th evenings though.
We would reccomend for Mature travelers, Families with older children and adventure seekers alike.
The picture is very misleading. This is not in the woods but right on the busy highway across from a helicopter tour company. You are just renting a unit in the building the rest is used as a restaurant and bar Thursday-Sunday.This is not mentioned at all!!!!! We just happened to be there on a Tuesday so we did not have the restaurant noise so be careful what days of the week you are there. Read the amenities carefully also- there is no TV, Cable or computer hook-up/ wifi. Nice comfy bed linens and bathroom/sauna if that is important to you. Very clean with lots of air fresheners (I had to unplug a few it was so strong!). We were also double booked and put up in a motel one night. Need to drive off sight for any activities or attractions road is quite busy to walk or cross.
We spent two nights (a Friday & Saturday) at Heaven's Peak. Beds were more comfortable than ours at home. Condo had lots of room. Luxury bathroom with jacuzzi tub and sauna. Some noise from wedding reception above us on Saturday night, but quiet by 10 PM, which was fine for us. Will definitely add to our list of great accommodation on the west side of the park.
We are conveniently located within 1 mile of the west entrance to Glacier National Park. Within the village of West Glacier one can enjoy 18 holes of golf, whitewater rafting, fly fishing, shopping, canoeing and hiking.
