About Lauren Stephens
Vacationing in Charlestown has been part of our family tradition since the 1920's. The ocean and ponds in Charlestown continues to be a very special, unique place and a perfect vacation spot to spend time with family and friends. Five generations of our family have shared many wonderful, memorable experiences here, walking the beaches, clamming and boating in the ponds, visiting nature preserves, landmarks and local points of interest.
Why Lauren Stephens chose Charlestown
It's the perfect place for family gatherings, picnics on the beach, fishing, sailing, beach-combing, kayaking, clamming and just plain relaxing in a beautiful, natural setting that renews the soul. Charlestown has changed and grown over the years, but still has kept it's informal rural character and offers a unique opportunity to experience the natural treasures around us while being within easy distance to entertainment, museums, one-of-a-kind galleries, funky little shops and historical landmarks. Most of all it's a treasured place where we feel at home and enjoy sharing with family and friends.
What makes this Cottage unique
Convenience and comfort. The location is central to the local beach and local market while being private and quiet with plenty of space for outdoor relaxing and activities. Because it is on a side street just off the main road to the beach and breachway and public boat access, it provides easy access without traffic. Skylights and a window-wall bring in light, fresh air, a view of the yard, sun and stars. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and basic supplies, to make your stay easy to enjoy.

Warm and cozy house in a great location
Our family stayed at this lovely home over the holidays. It was warm and cozy, and Lauren and Howard were so flexible and accommodating. Charleston is a quiet town with a few amenities, including a liquor and convenience store, and a couple of good restaurants, plus a bakery nearby. The house itself is clean, bright, and organized. The kitchen is well supplied; I even was able to cook Near's Eve dinner for my family with the kitchen supplies on-hand! I would highly recommend this house. We had a great experience!
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was our pleasure to have you as our guests. Hopefully we'll have the opportunity to be your destination again in the future.

this little cottage is a perfect retreat after a day at the beach - very clean and comfortable kitchen/living area - and a great deck - all tucked away off the main drag on a very private little street - close to everything you need - i recommend this place highly -

sweet week at the blueberry patch
Perfect little cottage for a relaxing beach stay! The home was clean and comfortable. Two families traveling together with 2 toddlers and an infant - we were grateful for the playroom/ extra downstairs bedroom. It was private and much larger than we imagined and allowed for spreading out over the house for different nap-times etc. Walking distance to the beach, near restaurants and fruit stand. just perfect. looking forward to renting again!
Lovely summer getaway
We stayed here a couple times and love it. Awesome deck, lots of space and everything was perfectly clean. Location is great. Large yard and trees offer good privacy. We definetly will come back!
Nice location and peacefull setting. 5 minute bike ride to beach.Walking distance to fruit stand.
No recliners or Red Sox on TV . I would rent again if cable was upgraded for the summer.
A hammock would also be nice, maybe next year.
Thanks for your comments. As part of our continuing effort to make improvements for the comfort of our guests, a TV upgrade for next season is in the plans. Please stay tuned for more and check us out again.
