BIG G RENTAL -1104 S 11th St. Garibaldi, OR 97118

All the comforts of home just yards from Tillamook Bay! Please Visit our Home web page below for more pictures and Info on the area.

Incredible views of the bay from our property (especially from the new Cedar 10x20 deck off the patio door) and only steps away from putting your feet on the sandy beach. From this beach, take in the views of the historic wharf, coast guard stations, and hills all around or try your hand at clamming. Barview Park is 1 1/2 miles from this property where the sandy, ocean beach provides miles and miles of sea shell collecting, jogging, and bird watching. Even try some surf fishing! Other area interests are: the Tillamook Air Museum (which used to house quite a few blimps in it's day), museums, quaint little shops, charter boats, Tillamook cheese factory and lots of other area beaches and rivers. Come visit the northern Oregon Coast and stay at the Big G House (An Oregon Coast Vacation House) located in Garibaldi next to the beautiful Tillamook Bay.

The house is a comfortable 2300 square feet and has been partially remodeled including new vinyl windows, large patio door that opens up to the beautiful newly built Cedar deck (overlooks the bay). There's 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a recreation room, a huge utility room (we added bunk beds for your convenience, to make 3.5 bedrooms), kitchen, dining area & nice sized living room. This home has a split level entry with a covered porch on entry.

The kitchen has been updated with new appliances including a dishwasher. The upstairs bathroom has been remodeled and features a tub/shower combo for your convenience. There's another bathroom downstairs that has also been remodeled and has a shower stall. The master bedroom features a king sized bed and a full size futon. Then there's 2 additional bedrooms downstairs with queen sized beds for your comfort. We have added bunk beds in the huge utility room as a bonus for families. The utility room features a new HE washing machine, a very quiet moisture sensing dryer, and a utility sink plus the bunk beds. So no coin-ops here!!! The large living room features a newer leather sectional sofa, a matching rocker/recliner and additional chair all for your comfort as you watch movies on the new Samsung 50' LCD HD Smart TV, or listen to some music on our nice sound system. Need to research something online or want to check your social media? No problem, WiFi is now available and is FREE to our guests. If all the excitement gets to be a bit too much... simply just kick back and relax-you're at the coast!

The open floor plan allows for a large dining area with 2 seperate dinette sets that can seat about 10 people.... and to feed those 10 people, how about the nice, big, fully equipped kitchen. We have provided everything you would need such as; a microwave, ceramic stove-top, dutch oven, blenders, crock pots, coffee maker, toaster, utensils, pots/pans, dining service for about 10 people. Cook your favorite meals while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Tillamook Bay right out the two, big windows in the kitchen! Or sit outside of the dining area, on the big deck and take in that fresh, sea air!

For entertainment, try the big rec room downstairs. There's a pool table, board games, puzzles or enjoy the large selection of our video library.

Outside, we have a large backyard with fruit trees and mature landscaping. Have some fresh fish/crab to grill? No problem! Please feel free to use the new large gas grill or or the charcoal grill provided for you, all while you watch Eagles & nesting Blue Herons nearby!

There's plenty of room for parking in the pull through gravel driveway we've designed. Can hold about 4 vehicles and a boat so space is not a problem.... We also have a carport for your use if you desire.

There is no smoking allowed in the house but covered areas outside are provided for your smoking convenience.

About Randy Smith

Tillamook Bay- May 09- Garibaldi Oregon. Only Steps away from our property.

Randy Smith purchased this house in 2002

Why Randy Smith chose Coastal Oregon

This was our grandparents home they built in the 70's and is located at 1104 Garibaldi Ave Garibaldi , Oregon 97118 .We pretty much grew up here. We love the coast, family and friends that live nearby. This town, Garibaldi, has alot of history and some of the best fishing, crabbing and clamming. It is tucked away from the wind which blows in from the sea. Garibaldi is a great little fishing village yet so close to big towns like Tillamook and Seaside (a beautiful drive up hwy 101). Also, this town is surrounded by tons of beaches and mountains which makes it one of the greatest places to be.

What makes this house unique

Tillamook bay gives you easy access to charter boats, steam engine train rides, cheese factory, lighthouses, waterfalls, museums, Sandlake dune park, several rivers, old Blue Spruce forest (which has the biggest known Spruce in Oregon), the Octopus tree and tons, tons more. Other major reasons that make our property desirable to stay at is walking out on the wharf to watch the sun set over the bay or watching the Blue Heron's nest in trees, on the hill, behind our house.

Unnecessary Charges

  • 1 of 5

We had a group of 6 people that stayed 3 nights. We didn't cook or do much other than sleep in the beds. However, the homeowner felt it necessary to charge us extra for cleaning. This is unwarranted given he never actually set foot in the house to see what needed to be cleaned. So in the end I'm out a little extra money and no explanation other than "it costs what it costs". We will not be staying here in the future and cannot recommend it for others.

Owner's Response: In response to your review: I wouldn't recommend renting a house to these people as they threaten with a bad review because they were charged a little extra for cleaning, first time in all of 2016 i had to charge extra. They left the house a filthy mess, had more than 6 people, and were clearly told what was expected prior to their stay. They did not clean up after themselves whatsoever so our trusted housekeeper, who has been servicing this property for over 10 years, had to give it a full clean. Therefore the renter was charged a very small extra charge. We do not ask our renters to wash bedding or to clean toilets, just to pick up after themselves but that was clearly not done in this case, ex. having to wash their dirty dishes. It took nearly 5 hours to clean up after them. I was very polite and cordial with the renter when i spoke to him about it and i only charged the ACTUAL cost to clean the house from his stay, even with his threat of "doing what i have to do" (then he posts a bad review) if i continued to charge him that small extra charge. We want people to have fun and enjoy staying at our house, we only ask that they be responsible. It isn't quite like a hotel. Thank You.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This place has a great location. Across the street from the bay and walking distance to the stores. The place was clean and well maintained. There's a great selection of dvds and vhs movies for when the weather is terrible. We had our own gear but crab gear and cooker are available for use. The pull through driveway makes turning a boat around easy.

Excellent Property !!!

  • 5 of 5

We have rented coastal properties for several years. Always before at Netarts. We decided to give Garibaldi a try this year. What a delightful experience!!

We rented Randy's property for one week. Six of us stayed the week with our granddaughter & boyfriend dropping in for the last night. Never have had a property that was so user friendly.

We Crab & Fish. Randy has an accommodation for backing a boat under an enclosed port, Last day, (packing up) it was raining Cats & Dogs so we backed under this very usable area and packed up out of the rain. We also used this area to cook our crab early in the week. Wind blew every day and difficult to keep Crab pot going in heavy winds. Randy also has a nice garage located under and attached to house where he has nice accommodations for barbequing. Nice table & chairs in this area for sitting out of wind. Huge back yard to play with a well trained dog. My laurels can not be enough for this property. Now will turn over to better half for house.

The house itself, has three nice bedrooms with master upstairs. Master is huge with nice usable closets & chests for storing clothing. Not always available in other houses. Fully equipped, very functional kitchen. Living & dining more than adequate for a large group. Nice bathrooms up stairs & on lower floor. Our boys really enjoyed the pool room and spent their evenings at great competition!

All in all great house and enjoyed it very much. Randy very helpful with info on bay Fishing & Crabbing.

Great group vacation spot

  • 4 of 5

This home is a great space for a group to have meals, play some pool, watch some TV and take quick jaunts over to the bay for clamming and other ocean activities! The price to value ratio is great and we highly recommend this home. The only reason we cannot give a 5 star is because it's along side the highway which of course is noisy but it does quiet down much at night. The home is clean and the movie selection is second to none. We appreciated the prompt and informative replies of the owner. We loved the carport as well as the garage with the crab boiler and bbq gave us a space outdoors yet somewhat covered. This was very helpful not only on the rainy day but also for coming in to get off wet clothing. Since we had another house rented nearby for our family gathering, this house's parking was fantastic for the extra cars we sometimes had with visitors as well as our own group. Finally, Garibaldi is simply one of the few remaining ocean towns in Oregon whose original, small-town beachy feeling hasn't been wiped out by overpriced restaurants and high-end condos. Great vacation spot and fantastic home for a good value get-away!

Great House

  • 5 of 5

The home was very roomy and clean. We greatly appreciated the fact that it was also well-stocked with various household items for a stay away from home. This home is a nice place for several people and/or families to stay in at once. It is just a few steps away from town and boat launch. Would rent again.
