Special Property Feature: This property consist of a one bedroom apartment with pull out chairs in the livingroom (great for children). Better than a hotel for the less money.
My family and I have lived in the beautiful city of Gloucester for almost 20 years now. From winter fun to the summer sun and sand this has been a perfect location for us.
Theresa purchased this apartment in 2000
We love this area of Gloucester because it is located on a quiet street, but is walking distance to Downtown and the boulevard, Stage Fort Park and Ravenswood park. The property has some Harbor view. We love living in Gloucester. My family ( 4 of us) and our golden retriever live in the house. We like the idea of sharing this unique property. We enjoy seeing the boats come and go in the harbor.
Our location is 3.5 miles from 128. Less than 2 miles to Good Harbor. 6 miles to Wingaersheek Beach 1.3 miles to Down town and many great restaurants. Located at the edge of Stage Fort Park and Ravenwoods, a 600 acre Nature reserve with marked trails. Lots to do so close. We love the sunrise and sunsets glow from the property.
Sometimes 'harbor view' means standing on tiptoe straining to look out the attic window -- not so with this amazing house! The dining room offers one of the most spectacular views of the ocean that I've ever seen in a house that wasn't on TV, and it's not even the only room with such a view.
The master bedroom is a perfect romantic oasis with almost a dozen windows overlooking the ocean -- the sunsets and sunrises seen through these windows are incomparable. The master bedroom also has a great little private deck to suit afternoon naps.
The kitchen is spacious and well appointed (two ovens!), and the linens and towels were soft and comfortable. There was even a linen service arranged so we didn't have to wash our sheets and towels at the end of our stay. There's a laundry room upstairs, with the master bed and two other bedrooms, and with another bedroom downstairs and the bedroom and bathroom in the attached apartment, there's plenty of room of everyone.
It's a very short walk (less than half a mile) to the beach, and about a mile walk to the Gloucester downtown area with a library, post office, and many quaint shops and restaurants. Gloucester is a great town in the summer -- music from the Stage Fort Park concert series wafts through the windows in the summer, and in June there's the St. Peter's Fiesta with a carnival downtown (in walking distance) and many other festivities.
I had an amazing experience in this house and would stay here again anytime. From being able to spread out and relax throughout the house, to trips to the beach and downtown Gloucester, this setting makes for a great vacation. If nothing else, I'd come back just for the views!
So fortunate to have found Theresa's property. The apartment was great- well cared for with all of the amentities. The wall of windows and the view of Ten Pound Island was amazing. We really enjoyed watching the boats going out at dawn. We were in walking distance to downtown, which was perfect. Would certainly recommend this place to other couples that would like to stay in the Gloucester area. Our only suggestion, if possible, would be to relocate the TV. It was difficult to view it from the sofa. We look forward to future trips to Cape Ann and staying in this cozy apartment.

Theresa is a terrific hostess. This is a beautiful property overlooking the harbor. I would stay here again.
Absolutely spectacular views at a very beautifully decorated spot! Couldn't wish for more!
We had a very nice four days here. The weather did not cooperate but we still had fun. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We were able to walk into town everyday. Across the street is Fort Stage Park which has awesome views and trails to walk. The lady at the visitor center was very helpful. If you go before the end of October make sure you go to eat at the Studio, it sits directly on the water and they have 1/2 off everything on the menu (except for the drinks). The food was wonderful, try the twin lobster rolls for $11 (regularly $22), they are perfect, warm lightly toasted rolls with lots of tender delicious lobster meat also served with a pasta salad. We also ate at a locals place called Top Side.Every Tuesday night is Oyster night, yummy, delicious, all kinds and discounted. We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking to the locals and to the bartender, Regan. A great place to rent, Theresa was helpful when I texted her about a hair dryer and one was delivered. We would not hesitate to stay at this location again.
This is a very nice place to stay. Lovely kitchen, dining, livingroom (all one open space). There is a view outside of the bay!
I would only request a reading light and bedside table in the future, but otherwise it was incredibly comfortable and we really enjoyed our time on Cape Ann.
