We were looking for a small, affordable, cottage where we can get away from it all and enjoy everything Provincetown has to offer. That the cottage actually offers some privacy in a densely populated village is a huge bonus.
During your stay, if you come by car, you don't need it at all during your stay. You can walk to the beaches, town and Stop and Shop. If you rent a bike, the entire National Seashore is yours, and you can store the bikes out back while you stay.
With a full kitchen and wifi, the place will feel like home as soon as you arrive.
This was our first time to provincetown. We couldnt have picked a better rental even if we had been there before. This is a detached unit, hard to find by the way. Yet close enough to everything, you wont need your vehicle. The cottage was as described and then some. David thinks of everything, those little extras that make a difference. We will absolutely return to this cottage. David is the best owner you could ask for, He answered questions promptly. Everything in the cottage worked, there were no problems at all. So all that being said we will make this our return vacation rental. It is in a quiet part of town just a few steps to the grocery store and Macs seafood. The bike rentals are across the road from the Stop and Shop grocery store. Provincetown pizza is a few steps in the other direction, towards commercial st. Dont forget to visit the Province Lands National Seashore, There is a paved bike trail that is awesome. Visitor center with gift shop, restrooms, and overlook. Three lighthouses and pilgrim monument you can see from the whale watch tour, that was awesome!! Fantastic vacation. To many things to mention to do.
Experience life as it should be.
This cottage is one of the nicest I've stayed at in the past 9 years. Small yet Is very roomy. All the amenities are there that you could need. Full size appliances, washer & dryer, ample indoor and out door seating and grill. Just a few blocks to the action on Commercial St and a few houses from the Stop N Shop. Is on busy Shankpainter but being set back from the road and the landscaping, there was never any disturbance from traffic noise. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
This little gem is situated in a very central location and has all the amenities that one needs for a Provincetown getaway!!! Everything was clean and comfortable, I would highly recommend this west end cottage!
5 minutes from commercial street, grocery store, bike rental. 25 minute walk to beach. Clean, well appointed condo, everything you could possibly need
Our priorities on visits to ptown are to enjoy the amazing scenery and wealth of activities: fishing, eating out, shopping and people watching in town. The cottage was perfect for us because it was quiet and clean and well equipped.
My partner and I departed Maryland at 5:30am on Saturday morning. We arrived in Provincetown at 2pm. Traffic was light and it was a pleasant drive.
The West End Cottage was ready when we got there. It was clean, neat, and the location is excellent. The cottage had everything to make our stay complete! It had coffee, salad dressing, spices. Really, too much to mention....but, every need was met. The shower was better than the one we have at home!! At night, it was sooo quiet...sleep came easy! A 2 minute walk to Commercial St. and Stop & Shop supermarket is two houses down...super convenient. We sampled most of the popular restaurants in town...each one as awesome as the one we tried the night before. Try the Post Office Café!! It was a fantastic vacation! The only negative was that the week was over way too fast!! We have never felt so rested. Even our little dog loved it.
David is an awesome host. He is responsive and very attentive. He's thought of everything. We rate this lodging "F" for FANTASTIC. Thanks David!
