About the property

Stunning, unique Mongolian Yurt with rural views, close to nature.

It is such a beautiful property that really has to be seen to be believed!!! So cosy, colourful, decorated thoughtfully, and is a really magical experience.

The yurt is fully kitted out with all you need to have a truly comfortable, cosy, relaxing, and super happy time.

You can have campfires outside in the designated fire fit!!!

It is located in a lovely, very pretty little field with a pond and a log cabin. It overlooks a horse paddock and the South Downs National Park. It is s very peaceful spot and is for adults only, and no children. It is the perfect romantic hideaway or for a group of friends for a celebration. There is a family camping field behind the yurt field. It is unsafe for children in this field due to the deep pond! There are other camping plots in the yurt field but for adults only.

The yurt has a really comfy double bed with lovely fresh cotton sheets and all bedding provided.

Wood burning stove (from a market in Mongolia which supplies local Mongolians with their stoves). This stove is designed so that you can cook directly on top of it. It has a flat top, and is perfect for making stews, pasta dishes etc. (Fire blanket and extinguisher provided).

Mongolian hand painted table and stools.

Rocking chair to relax in next to the wood burner.

About Kate Spencer.

A lover of nature and the wild, I am an environmentalist and Geographer with a passion for discovering the world. I am a teacher and Life Coach. I grew up in the Peak District and moved to Brighton to be closer to the sea, where I surf and windsurf. I travel as much as I can and love discovering new cultures.

Kate Spencer. purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Kate Spencer. chose Wealden

It was my dream to own a yurt. They are such wonderful, life affirming, beautiful properties. I am fascinated by their rich history as dwellings for nomadic cultures in Mongolia.

I had a dream to go to Mongolia to buy one and bring it home to Sussex so I went on adventure to experience them first hand and bought one from Ullaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. I shipped her back across the land and sea, through Asia and Europe. I am now renting her out on a lovely campsite in Sussex. My dream came true and I feel so lucky!!

What makes this cabin unique

Sit inside, close to nature and gaze at the stars through the clear roof. Stay warm and cosy by lighting the wood burning stove. Feel its magical energy.
