This lovely cottage is close to Woodstock Village and all the activities in the Upper Valley, yet feels like a million miles away.
I enjoy sharing my lovely home in Vermont with appreciative guests. I also allow well-looked after pets.
We have stayed twice at this lovely place, and for several weeks' at a time and had the most wonderful stays. It is quiet, private and situated in a most lovely spot. The house is adorable and well-maintained, the kitchen well appointed and the master bed room is spacious with lovely views (you can see deer at the end of the garden is you are up early enough). Our children love the spacious garden, and the screened-in porch makes for an ideal spot to read and relax. This is a very special place and has captured our hearts.
My mother and I were to stay three nights in mid-October. When we entered, the house smelled as though every piece of material and upholstery needed to be dragged outside for a thousand days in the sun to air out. We didn't want to sit on the couch and chairs. We were very disappointed and left to find other lodging, despite the fact that this was Columbus Day weekend and we knew that locally every hotel and motel would probably be sold out. It also would have been good to know that the steep interior stairs have no railing on either side.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a real getaway. The property is extremely private and remote yet close to Woodstock. Beautiful mountain views! The meadow in front of the house is perfect for stargazing. The front porch with hammock is divine. Plenty of rustic 1800’s charm inside. The kitchen is a good size and well maintained. The owner and property managers are very hospitable and responsive. We had so much fun and hope to return.
Woodstock has been called one of the most beautiful villages in America. Even the locals still revel in its beauty and wonderful views. There are many wonderful trails and lakes to enjoy in summer and of course great skiing in this gorgeous Snowbelt area. The is home to many artists and Woodstock as well as nearby Hopkins Center offer a range of interesting cultural programs.
Ski: The house is situated a half hour from 4 major ski resorts: Mt.Killington, Mt. Ascutney, Suicide Six and Okemo.
The Monthly rate listed is for longterm rentals at a minimum of 3 months and is plus utilities.
I like to have a sense of connection with those who make my home their own, even for a few days. Please tell me something about yourselves and let me know any questions you may have.
