A 3 Bed, 3 Bath House of Character with modern amenities in a superb location
We fell in love with Gozo many years ago, and have been returning ever since to holiday. When the opportunity came to purchase a stone villa so close to the centre of our favourite village, Xaghra, we couldn't turn it down. Ta Marlin has been superbly restored to retain all it's original features including tiled floors throughout, stone arches, wooden beams and original staircase and balcony. But it also has every modern amenity with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and en-suite to both main bedrooms and a third beautifully decorated children's bedroom. We have also installed a technology centre including tv/dvd, cable and free, unlimited internet access. We know you will enjoy staying in Ta Marlin, with it's great location close to Xaghra village centre, so we invite you to sit back and soak up the lovely atmosphere and tranquility of Gozo. Perhaps you could enjoy a glass of locally produced Gozitan wine, your only decision whether to sit by the pool, relax on the terrace or enjoy the heritage of Ta Marlin Villa itself.

About Linda Jones
We have been together over 20 years now and 10 years ago were lucky enough to have our daughter Lucy. We have always enjoyed travelling, and we realised that as parents, the best quality self catering accommodation was for us better than a stay in a hotel. Over the years we have found the best and worst experiences of staying in owners properties and we have drawn on all this history to ensure everyone who stays with us has the best holiday possible.
Linda Jones purchased this Villa in 2015
Why Linda Jones chose Xaghra
We love Gozo with it's laid back feel and charm, and of course its wonderful Mediterranean climate. In particular we chose Ta Marlin because of it's fabulous location just a short walk from Xaghra village centre with its lovely restaurants. Over the past 10 years we have stayed in most of the Island's villages and Xaghra was always our favourite, we were delighted when we recently had the opportunity to purchase the right property in such a great location. There are many attractions very close to Ta Marlin, which are all walkable, and include Ggantija Temples, Ta Kola Windmill, Pomzkizillious Museum and Xerri's Grotto as well as a superb beach at Ramla Bay.
What makes this Villa unique
Ta Marlin is a beautifully restored House of Character which retains all of it's original features. We love the original tiled floors, the majestic staircase, the Maltese Balcony, the arches and the beams. The south facing pool is just perfect on a hot day, and we end a perfect summers evening with a chilled glass of wine on the terrace.

Amazing House on Beautiful Island of Gozo
What a beautiful house a short walk from Xaghra village square. First time in Gozo and we were certainly not disappointed, there is so much to see on this tiny island. House was spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped, we especially loved the pool area and the terrace overlooking the pool perfect for early evening drinks. Only fault, we didn't book for longer Thanks Linda and Jeanette.
Loved our stay at Ta Marlin. Great central base to explore Gozo. Very spacious for the two of us. All our needs were catered for even down to the shopping items left for us when we arrived including a bottle of wine. Large rooms with high ceilings and beams. Loads of period features including patterned floor tiles in each room. Loads of wardrobe space. Plenty of towels provided also. The property is easy walking distance to the town square where we found some nice restaurants and bars. A couple of mini supermarket shops are within walking distance also. Space on the nearby streets for parking which didn't cause a problem. Wifi provided. Nice to have your own pool (shame the weather was a tad cool for swimming in March - maybe we'll use it more next time).
Fantastic little hideaway
Could do with a light outside the front door the rest was faultless
Thank you for the xtras
Would love to come back ( if you’ll have us )
We love Gozo
Before we even arrived in Gozo the owner of the property couldn't have been more helpful.
Giving us invaluable information and instructions for our arrival. We were welcomed by Jeanette who again couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. The Welcome Pack was great and had everything we needed for the first couple of days.
I would definitely recommend this lovely house. It's prefect for the location as it's within a short walking distance to the square where we enjoyed a drink in the evening.
We would recommend tal furner which is just seconds away from the house. It looks nothing from outside but the food was absolutely amazing. You have to book or you will never get in.
The house itself is spacious and has all the comforts you would expect and more. We stayed with our two teenage boys who loved the space to have your own privacy.
We also enjoyed having our own pool, not having to fight for a place.
We would absolutely without hesitation recommend staying in this lovely house and Gozo itself is so relaxing.
Plenty of bays if you like to snorkel in the clear blue sea. Plenty of restaurants to eat out with excellent good quality good which doesn't cost a fortune.
Thank you again to the owners. We had an amazing time. We will be returning.
Thank you so much for your kind review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed the many delights of Gozo. Tal Furnar is excellent, we are lucky to have such a good local restaurant close by. Thank you so much for your kind comments about Jeanette who works so hard looking after our guests. We hope you will return to Gozo with your family soon to further explore this beautiful island. Mark, Linda and Lucy
A Lovely Holiday
We stayed as a family of four from 2-18 August 2017.
The house is in a fantastic location fairly central to the town of Xahgra. A short walk up the hill gets you into the square and some excellent restaurants and the pizza takeaway is just next door.
The space is fantastic and we loved the secret balcony as the sun went down!
The facilities are excellent and everything you need is at hand.
Thank you for the welcome pack and the wine went down well.
We shall definitely return at some point in the future.
Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are so pleased that you all enjoyed your stay in Ta Marlin and Gozo so much. We are glad you enjoyed the villa's terrace where you can enjoy the last rays of sunshine after a lovely day by the pool.
We are very lucky to have Tal Furnar, which has the last remaining traditional stone oven in Malta, just a short walk away. Their take away pizzas and bread are delicious.
We will be very pleased to welcome you and your family back to Gozo in the future.

Charming place, very peaceful!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jeanette who was very friendly and helpful. The farmhouse itself is located in a quiet area in Xaghra. The place was spotless and well supplied, however, we did notice that some of the lightbulbs didn't work, although, this didn't bother us much. We were also given a welcome pack upon arrival which was a very kind gesture from the owners! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to unwind from the usual daily routine.
Ggantja Temples are a must see as they are the oldest man made structures in the World, older than the Pyramids. Ta Kola Windmill is a restored windmill now a museum. Xaghra church wonderful baroque village church. Xaghra village square has excellent restaurants, bars and shops.
