The hillside location gives beautiful views across the village and the rolling hillside of the Lyme Valley. But also has easy access to the beaches and activities within busier Lyme Regis.
The house has been designed by an award winning architect, with a very high attention to detail for all the finishes. But whilst the design is striking, the house and garden is lovely and comfortable - summer and winter.
Beautiful home, outstanding views and lovely location. The house and amenities were fantastic, would thoroughly recommend. We had a great weekend.
Best house we've ever stayed in (& most expensive). The house was perfect in so many ways, the kids (14,14 & 9) loved it , though it might be tricky with younger children, and it helped make our first visit to Dorset special.
We walked and cycled (challenging) around the area and especially enjoyed walking to the beach hut.
I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Cedar House with my husband, father and a friend ....wow we loved it from the beautiful welcome hamper when we arrived to the ...having to leave the amazing view at the end!! The house is wonderful - immaculate and luxurious, we felt chilled as soon as we unpacked and opened the wine.
Sarah the owner couldn't be more helpful and was a delight to deal with. I left it as I found it and hope future clients do the same as this is a much loved home - thanks again Sarah can't wait to return.
We had a wonderful stay at the Cedar House (4 adults and 3 children). Everything you could need was provided and the house was spotlessly clean and so comfortable and spacious. A lovely garden area too and the children has a great time. Some quality touches too, e.g. basket of essentials waiting for us and liquid soap in the bathrooms. We will definitely be returning!
We enjoyed our stay in Cedar House immensely. The house is well designed, comfortable and well equipped. The view from the kitchen and main living area is stunning. The bedrooms were all comfortable and spacious with modern high-spec bathrooms. The carpet pile was deep underfoot and the towels were thick and white. Everything was spotless. Thank you for a great holiday!
We had a lovely week in this beautiful, modern house, equipped to 5-star standard: comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms, all the kitchen amenities you could think of, high-tech TV, barbecue, sun beds - even down to its own Ordnance Survey map! And then waking up to the beautiful views. Its on a hill a mile out of Lyme Regis, a half hour walk along the river into the town. A peaceful base from which to explore this lovely coastline. Definitely coming back.
Part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site, and surrounded by areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Lyme Regis is famous for its fossils, an historic old town, the Cobb, and beautiful beaches. It’s a destination for food lovers, with Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall’s River Cottage HQ and Axminster Canteen both close by and Mark Hix’s Oyster and Fish House in the town.
Only three hours from London or the Midlands, Uplyme and Lyme Regis are a relaxed oasis on the Dorset and Devon border.
