Why Tracy Wain chose Saint Martin
Langunnett Cottage is a special home which we love to visit. Our hearts belong in Cornwall and we love coming back to the region for our holidays. The cottage is set in beautiful grounds and always feels very peaceful and a great place to 'get away from it all'! However, just a short stroll and we are back in a bustling, buzzing, friendly town centre with all the amenities we need. A short drive and we always seem to stumble on a new place to explore.
What makes this Cottage unique
The views from the patio and balcony are amazing. We love sitting out on a warm sunny evening enjoying the view and watching the twinkling lights of Looe come on. It really has a magical feel about it!

Lovely clean, quiet cottage with beautiful views
The whole family loved this cottage. It was well equipped, with lots of space. An ideal location for sightseeing around Cornwall. A climb up the the cottage, but well worth it. We'd recommend it.
Thanks for your kind words about Langunnett Cottage, I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Cornwall.
As a family with 3 young children the cottage was amazing! We all loved it. Clean, spacious .
Could not of picked a better place to stay! We all enjoyed the stunning views...the peace and quiet.. our 3 children didn't want to leave. Attractions were an hour and half away.. but that didn't matter as the cottage was worth the travel.
Comfortable quirky cottage
With five of us staying at the cottage, the quirky layout worked very well and was very comfortable. With hot sunny days and torrential rain during our week, the views were always amazing. Be prepared for the many steps down to the town, keeps you fit. Also a very tight bend on the road approaching the cottages, all adding to the quirkiness. On the down side, we had a leak in the ceiling during heavy rain and there were a few maintenance issue that could be put right. Overall it was good
Thanks for taking the time to review your stay. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by the maintenance issues but I hope they have now been sorted. The heavy rain during the summer has caused us a couple of problems but that's the English summer weather for you!!
Wonderful holiday in a beautiful holiday cottage
We stayed for a week with our three teenage daughters and had a great time. There was plenty of space and the house had everything we needed (including a great view of the wooded hills opposite).
It's certainly quite a steep path / road down to Looe, but if you're uncomfortable with that it's only a 2 minute drive down. The kitchen had everything necessary to cook for 5 (when we weren't taking advantage of the pasties, fish and chips, and wide range of restaurants in Looe).
The owner & local manager were very quick to respond to any questions we had, which made us feel very welcome.
All in all, a great week's holiday and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
Thank you for such a lovely review, so glad you enjoyed your time in Cornwall.
Perfect in so many ways
The location and cottage were perfect for our family of 5 (kids ages 15 and11). The balconies with beautiful views, fully equipped kitchen, soft linens, were all wonderful. The location proved to be close to the places we wanted to visit, including Looe, about 3 minutes by car with easy parking. All the kids and adults in our group give the cottage a thumbs up and we hope to return!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Looe. I hope you will come back again soon!
Excellent property with astonishing views
Very nice and clean with everything one might need for his stay. En-suit to each bedroom a real gem.
Thank you for your kind words. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Langunnett Cottage and hope to see you again soon!
The property is located approx. 10 minutes walk from Looe town centre. Looe is a historic fishing village and seaside holiday town and has many amenities - golden sandy beach, harbour, shops, supermarkets, banks, cafes, restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes and budgets. Many hours can be spent rock pooling or crabbing or watching the daily catch come in.
For those who enjoy walking, it is close to the stunning South West Coastal Path for some spectacular walks. Step back in time by visiting the Old Guild Hall Museum, or wander the narrow cobbled streets, and sample the delights of the town’s award winning restaurants and cafes. The town is a friendly place with masses of Cornish atmosphere.
A short drive away is the picturesque village of Polperro with its winding streets and whitewashed cottages. Its tiny harbour was once a thriving centre for the area's smuggling of brandy and tobacco. A little further is the delightful harbour town of Fowey, or take the coastal path to explore the secluded coves of Talland and Lanivet Bay. Enjoy a day out on the railway taking the scenic Looe Valley line to Liskeard.
Looe is a great base in which to explore Cornwall and Devon. Explore and discover over six thousand years of legend, tradition and heritage from the moors, mines and mansions of the region. There are beaches to suit everyone, including the spectacular 4 mile stretch of Whitsand Bay which is a 15 minute drive away.
Spring and summer are not the only times to visit Looe as there are events all year round such as an annual literary festival, Looe music festival, Looe Carnival, raft racing and even an annual rubber duck race! At Christmas, the town sparkles with illuminations along the quay. Other festivities include a fair, torch-lit procession, disco and choral service. And on New Year’s Eve, there’s a fancy dress party throughout the town and a spectacular firework display.
