Kate Preston purchased this apartment in 2013
The apartment is on the lower ground floor of our London home. Pimlico has a great range of shops and restaurants with Sloane Square & Kings Road nearby. The River Thames & the embankment is at the end of the road. An easy walk (15 minutes) to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament, Chelsea and Kings Road, Buckingham Palace. London open top tourist buses (covering all the great sights, museums etc) leave from Victoria which is just 5 minutes away.
We found this flat to be comfortable and well equipped. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Kate is wonderful to work with. Excellent communication prior to and during the stay. She met us on arrival to get us settled and gave us lots of good advice on how to see the sights in London. She also helped us to make our transportation connections for our next stop. We would definitely stay here again.
Modern apartment in basement of a town house has windows for lots of sunlight. Bus to tourist attractions directly across street. You need an Oyster card to ride it which is easily obtained at the underground station down the street. Easy walk to market. The owner was very helpful.
Not knowing London, we discovered that Pimlico is an excellent location to stay and have good access to many landmarks and attractions, public transport, restaurants, etc. Kate and her partner Don could not have been more welcoming. The apartment is spotless, modern and comfortable; also quite private. Grocery store a short walk away.
Kate and Don were helpful with suggestions on restaurants, bus lines, local walking tours and anything else we could think of.
Unreserved recommendation to anyone considering staying.
Thanks Kate and Don!
It was easy to work with Kate. She made the stay delightful. It was great after a long day of traveling to arrive and have tea and biscuits waiting for us. We had one issue during our stay- Kate immediately responded and worked for a solution.
I would highly recommend the flat.
As soon as we got there owners let us into the house explain everything around give us some suggestions of where to eat the house had milk and biscuits already waiting for us the house had sugar mustard mayonnaise coffee and other things that made it very homey and nice. It was the largest place we stayed in all of Europe and was located near shopping and food and travel options the people were wonderful and was a great place to stay we loved it
My two children (ages 12 and 8) stayed in this Pimlico flat for a week on holiday in London. This apartment is centrally located, near the Pimlico tube station as well as major bus routes, and the perfect home base for London exploration.
We were welcomed with chocolate cookies and all of the requirements for tea, which was a nice greeting after a long transatlantic flight. The apartment is modern and simply but thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen has everything you need to eat in, which was a priority for us travelling as a family. The bedrooms are small but quite comfortable. A washer and dryer meant that we could pack lightly -- carry on luggage only!
Kate was a lovely and accommodating host. We had a couple of minor issues come up during our stay, and she was available to help and happy to do so.
The area is safe and the neighborhood surrounding has all of the shops needed: a pharmacy, grocery store, and restaurants with both eat in and takeaway options.
One note for those with mobility issues: the stairs down to the apartment are quite steep and could be challenging for anyone with joint or balance problems. However, once in the apartment, everything is on one level.
Located very near the embankment and chelsea. Kings Road is walkable in 10 minutes.
Moments away from the Chelsea Flower Show in May.
Easy access to kensington and the galleries and museums.
4 stops on the tube to oxford circus.
