Lovely little house with everything you need in an ideal position between Fort William and Oban.

  • 5 of 5

House was nice and clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Perfect for a family of 4 or 5. Few games and DVD's which was nice for the kids. The position of the house was perfect, just 10 mins from Glen Coe which had lots of lovely walking/ cafes/ sea food etc and half way between Fort William and Oban- both less than an hour away. Would definitely return to Ben View if we were staying in the area again. Thank you!

It was a great location and a nice place to relax. You have to drive anywhere you might want to go but there are so many options of things to do around the area.

Sonny days in Duror

  • 4 of 5

We really liked our first trip to SCO as we had perfect sunny weather and no midges.

Cottage was clean and lovely (esp birds in Garden), host very kind, helpful and reliable.

However there were some minor things that caused us to vote 4-stars (instead of 5): cottage is directly located at main road; kitchen equipment could be better (e.g. just 6 of each max); noisy fan in bathroom was running long time (combined with light switch) and finally temperature in corridore was too hot (min 25 degrees C) permanently (due to ensure hot water -> that worked very well).

Overall: recommended.

Good location to explore Glencoe (10 min), Fort William (25 min) or Oban (35 min).

Ben View has the added bonus of having direct access to the Sustrans Cycle Route 78, The Caledonia Way - Oban to Fort William. This is not only great for cyclists, but an ideal for families with young children or someone looking for a more gentle walk. As it offers well maintained path on a relatively flat route through the magnificent country side.
