Idaho Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8-10)

Rare Find, Charming and Secluded Log Cabin on the South Fork of the Boise River in the Sawtooth National Forest. Perfect for a family, Nature Lovers or Honeymoon. Solar power gives you amenities while still keeping you off the grid and green.

Cabin is very nice and decorated well. Wildlife abounds, we have spotted Bear, Moose, Fox, Mountain Lions, Wolves, Deer and Elk. Hundreds of miles of breathtakingly beautiful trails to hike, cycle or dirt bike on. The wildflowers are amazing.

Baumgartner Hot Springs are a 35 minutes drive, along the way you will find some of the best FLY-FISHING in the United States or take a day and motorbike, hike, cycle to the Forest Service watch tower top of Iron Mountain. When the river is flowing good, take a refreshing tube ride down the River. Too much to see and do to list. Very Secluded property, plan well and bring all food items and ice.

Beautiful Backcountry Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful cabin located in a gorgeous river valley. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and had everything we needed. The location is simply heavenly. It's situated a stone's throw from the river, with trees all around it. My husband and I spent a week here around Labor Day with our toddler, my mom and our two dogs. We had visitors one night - 2 bull moose! They spent about an hour hanging around our cabin one evening while we watched from the window and then from the porches. What a treat! We all had an amazing time and hated to leave when the time came. Jim was the perfect host. We hope to come back again next year!

A slice of Heaven!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have rented Jims cabin over Memorial Day weekend the last two years (2014 & 2015).

This place is beyond amazing and gorgeous. We have 5 children and 2 dogs that had the best time. The cabin it self is a beatiful log cabin that is clean and has everything you need. There are two fire pits, one up front and one out back right on the river. Hiking, quads, dirt bikes, fires, river fun and realaxing, who could ask for more?! The sights are incredibly gorgeous and there are more trails than we could ride!

Jim is an amazing man and is the most gracious host you could ask for. This cabin is my familys new yearly tradition and my favorite place!

Away from it all - without roughing it

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful, secluded cabin sits on the South Boise River on a pocket of private land within the national forest. The stream was out back where we had nightly campfires after dinner, talked and watched the Milky Way, satellites and shooting stars overhead. The cabin was very comfortable for the three of us; we were never cold or left in the dark. Propane powers the hot water heater, stove and lights, with electric lights for those who don't care for propane lanterns. The wood stove was so warm we had to open the doors to cool off - we didn't need it when the propane lights were on. The owner, Jim, was a very gracious host who graciously explained the workings of the cabin, the area wildlife (wolves!) and guided us on an expedition to Goat Lake, high in the mountains. We had a blast!

Whether you're a hard core outdoor enthusiast or prefer to curl up with a stack of good books, this cabin will suit your tastes. It's a great place for kids or a romantic getaway, too. Just remember to gas up in Fairfield and bring all your groceries to the cabin - a run to town for milk takes two hours.

Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

We rented the cabin for Labor Day weekend and a had a great time. We panned for gold in the river, hiked, 4-wheeled and other numerous activities. This cabin is well furnished and very clean. We wanted for nothing. Jim (the owner) is so personable and was always there to answer our questions and to let us know if we needed anything we just had to ask. We saw deer two mornings in a row right outside the front of the cabin. We will be back next year.

My family and I stayed over Memorial day weekend. Jim was a great host and met us at the cabin to give us the keys and answer any questions. The firewood was stocked and came in handy as it was still a little chilly in the evening. The cabin was spacious and well kept. We viewed wildlife and hiked. The grandchildren had a great time on the swing, and being able to ride their little power wheels everywhere, at night time we walked down to the river and made smore's. The stars were so bright and the moon so close so relaxing. I was also able to bring my dog and she enjoyed it as much as we did...... I have already booked the cabin again for Labor Day of this year.
