House is dirty and not maintained, doesn't appear in a long time.

  • 1 of 5

We vacation in Gatlinburg every year, we were not happy with this property. Furnishings are broken and don't match. Kitchen chairs don't match and are broken, cabinet doors missing. Pool table has broken table top and pockets. None of the TV remotes work with the TV's. TV in game room doesn't work. Sofa beds are broken or wore out, can't sleep on them. Mold in master shower. Dishes were let in the dishwasher, bed linens were left in the dryer. Old rugs rolled up and left outside in the yard. Paper blinds taped to the master windows. House was not clean and hasn't been maintained it appears. Last day I was locked out of the house four hours before checkout, my code no longer worked. This may explain why the house wasn't locked when I arrived. We will continue to come to Gatlinburg but not at this property. If this had been my first time to visit Gatlinburg I may not return. We paid a premium price for a cheaply decorated and put together home. Very disappointed

Great cabin for a large family or group

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I rented this cabin as a place in the middle to meet our family (we live in NC and they are in middle TN). We had 4 adult couples, 2 kiddos, and a dog and the cabin had plenty of room to hold more. It is close to Gatlinburg if you want to go hiking, shopping or whatever but it also is a good place to just hang out with your group and enjoy each others company. The owners were responsive, I got all the information I needed from them and they were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again with my family.

Things to know: your mapping program may say you arrive before you do but just follow the road name and look for the number (the house is actually on the hill above you when your gps says you are there, you still have to go around and up to get to the driveway); the drive way is very steep. It isn't a problem but I could see it being one in winter.; the grill is charcoal.; and it is a cabin... It was exactly how we expected it to be but from some comments I see some people saying it was dirty or whatever. Everything was cleaned when we arrived. There was some dust on high places and things but I repeat it is a family cabin so just know what you are looking for in a place to stay. I think some of the people saying it was dirty... Probably should have stayed at a hotel.

2017 Spring Break!!

  • 5 of 5

My entire family, 13 of us and a dog, visited this cabin for a short spring break trip. Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had no problems at all. The cabin was thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Also, this place is huge!! You don't have to worry about being crammed into small bedrooms. The location is very convenient being only a few minutes to downtown. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others and would stay here again if visiting with a large group.

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!!

Great place for family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We have been vacationing at this cabin for many years now! It is a great place for the family to come together and enjoy home away from home. It is in a super location with minimal time to reach Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There is plenty of space for everyone to have privacy and then gather in the great room to enjoy a warm fire and cook a nice meal or cook out on the grill.

The cabin has plenty of towels, dishes and extra bed clothes. And if anything is needed the owners are a phone call away.

We always look forward to returning each year and so enjoy and appreciate having a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful Deal, Location and Space

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth year in a row visiting this cabin. We go with my parents, sisters and their families each year, usually around 14 of us. The location is perfection, the price is unbeatable, and the size and space of this cabin is exactly what we need for gathering together or time alone. The cabin is in a prime spot for quick trips to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, and the Food City is just up the road when you need things in a hurry.

Because this is TN, we've experienced all types of weather from sunny and 60 (this year) and amazing snow with the perfect Ober experience. Being out on the porch, either in the hot tub or just on the bench, is a spectacular event at night. All the lights from the cabins up the side of the mountain are absolutely amazing. You truly feel like you are sitting in the stars.

This cabin has been a blessing to our family over the years, my children are excited for our visits each year and this VRBO has so many things to offer.

Changes need to be made ASAP!!!!!

  • 2 of 5

The only reason why I gave this cabin two stars was because the owner was quick to respond to me about the issues we were having. This cabin was disgusting!!!! The fans had caked on dust so we were afraid to turn them on, the showers had mold in them. Those of us that had flip flops showered with them on the other half put a towel down in the shower(which frankly wasn't much better), we had to buy another coffee maker because the one at the cabin had mold in it, The hot tub was also in need of cleaning. One of The pull out couches was to dirty to sleep on. And there was a smell of urine one of the rugs and dog hair in one of the bedrooms.

it looked like the carpets hadn't been vacuum in days(bugs and rat droppings all over the master bedroom) and to top it all off my father-in-law saw a hug rat walking across one of the beams in the bedroom which retreated into the ceiling.

After speaking to the owner Friday about this issue (not the rat, we didn't see him until Saturday night) he gave us the option of having the cleaning lady come out again or giving us our cleaning fee back. I informed him we wanted the cabin clean. He told me that someone would be out that day to clean again. A few hours later he sent me a text informing me that his cleaning lady quit so he would be refunding us our cleaning fee.

This cabin could be so beautiful and relaxing if the owners had someone keeping the place up.
